Best way to install latest official Android 10 ROM on new XZ2c - Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact Questions & Answers

Hi, I just got a new XZ2c and it's a pain to go through all the updates one-by-one manually, it looks like it will be like two dozen update/reboot cycles or something. I tried updating with Xperia companion by doing repair but that fails with an error. I tried xperia's flashtool but that claims my phone is locked, which it's not because I tried putting in a sim and it works.
So I'm not sure if I'm out of options.
Thanks much for any advice!

Problem with my Xperia Play
Hi, I have an Xperia Play that I have unlocked the bootloader on and installed a custom kernel. Everything worked just fine until weeks after I did these things the screen suddenly went black and the phone turned off. I have not been able to start it since it happend, when I try to boot the phone it will just vibrate and then nothing, the screen stays black. Even if it does not boot the computer recognizes it and I can flash roms with flashtools etc. I have tried alot of different roms and returned to stock kernel, I have even re-locked the bootloader and made a clean update with SEUS but without success, nothing happens on the screen. Have anyone had the same issue? Thanks! /David
brick
hi, I just got a xperia play from a friend of mine. He rooted it and updated and it probably got bricked by the update. It doesn't do anything. When you push power it just buzzes. Now I don't have really that much information. but I think he unlocked the bootloader and flashed to root.
now for wat I have tried. I searched for solutions for this problem. That's when I came upon the flashtool. I tried flashing it simply with the generic_uk firmware. But it didn't do anything. Further research landed me upon a FOTAUnbrick tool. I read some of the information but I didn't really get it (most of the times I do know what i'm doing). So in my "nothing to lose spirit" i just tried it and guess what ? nothing. Now I know this is really vague and probably doesn't have a solution. But I'm keeping my hopes up for someone to bust this bugger.

help identify my xperia

A friend of mine brought an xperia phone to me, I decided to help him upgrade it. The label behind has lt18i written on it, so I used the ftf for lt18i with flash tool to upgrade it. It all went well, but phone has refused to go pass the xperia boot screen, I even downgraded back to gb and it won't go pass the Sony Ericsson screen. I just saw something strange on the phone, it has an external antena between the usb port and volume control buttons. Is this the xperia arc s? And what firmware should i use to flash it

[Q] Soft Brick

Hi there, sorry if this is a common problem but I've not found anything and I'm in a bit of a pickle.
I have an Xperia M C1905, and attempted to root my phone. The guide I found told me I needed to unlock my bootlocker, which I did. Here's the problem though, my phone now won't go past my network provider page. Flashtool won't install on my PC, it is telling me I have the wrong installation file for Windows (I've got a 64 bit) yet I can't find another option. I've tried to restore my phone using the Sony Companion, but this is telling me I have modified software and as such cannot use the program.
Any help would really be appreciated
search for flashtool 64bit installer, or if you want to use sony companion, you must lock your BL first. sony pcc won't work with unlocked BL

so you unrooted and flash with flashtool, and the effect is not booting up?Is there any LED light when you try to turn the phone up???The problem flashing with Xperia Companion or PC Companion is that the phone has to be booted up.
EDIT:I saw somewhere here on xda forum that xperia companion might work if your bootloader is still locked.

i read that whoever sites with Flash Tools Change-ROM, the phone jailbroken and the other just yet. A piece of plastic

How to relock bootloader?(Solved)

I tried flashtool BLU function, then I could not find XA1 ultra on the list, I tried XA1, the relock process finished and the phone cannot start. It says failing to verify. I am relocking because my phone starting to have ghost touch and needs to be returned for warranty service. Thanks so much!
Update: I use the Xperia companion to restore. The bootloader lock itself back.
