Hey,I've seen my device https://www.gsmarena.com/lenovo_z5-9222.php has very similar specs to the and looks rebranded https://www.gsmarena.com/asus_zenfone_5_ze620kl-9061.php Is that possible I can use roms and such made for the asus?

I'm new to this, is there OTA updates or do I need to flash the ROM for every update? Also, how is this different to project sakura?

I searched on the website of dotOS and I didn't find the complete procedure to install it and I have absolutely no idea how to do it. I'm a real rookie in installing Custom Rom and unfortunately, the instructions mentionned in the post are not of any help to me :'(
Would someone be kind enough to guide me ? or can we use the same steps as to install a Lineage OS Rom ?
What to download (Vanilla vs GAPPS), do I have to extract it ? Where ? Do I need to Unlock the bootloader ?
Please tell me everything, each step, I do not want to mess it up.

I believe the correct installation procedure is to update to Android 10 beta with the official ASUS firmware and then DotOS.

I don't imagine you need to flash the stock rom for the device first. In any case, make a backup of your device's boot, vendor, system and data partitions before flashing this, just in case.

You're right. A lot of devs (particularly the Havoc OS guy) have given up on this device. Devs who continue developing and maintaining ROMs for this device have to be on another level, bro.

Thank you very much for the custom rom I tried this the latest version is v5.1.3 ysl in the website I compared this to pixel plus ui but this dotos is so much better battery is better and no errors when running the os and so much customizations you can tweak and clean too if you are looking for a great custom rom for redmi s2 this one is the pick

I can not delete finger print or face data for some reason. That said, it's the best ROM I tried on my S2. Thank you very much for putting an effort on the ROM!

When DotOS 5.2 Version?

Using DotOS version 5.2 for ysl its great smooth only bug i found is the charging led light notification wont shut off when battery full charge 100% same for other custom roms I tried still on when battery is 100%

Overall i'ts nice,with a lot customization rom, just missed now playing,In power menu not a cards and passes, and not passing safety net, I installed with nik gapps. Full package with nikgapps.confg file.

what type of gapps you try to install?
On nik gapps i put nikgapps.zip full package to internal sd card, configuration file as well in sd card, just edited a nikgapps.confg file . lot of apps i disabled. then flashed and everything goes well. it's me nikgapps.confg file.

2. Install rom
3. Let system boot without gapps
4. Boot twrp
5. Install flamegapps core
6. Boot system
Now im running Dot OS smoothly ! Thank you guys

I had no luck getting my ever trusty NikGapps Full (with cherrypicked apps via config) to install with this, similar to AICP 16.1 (1st i ever saw it), it failed to install even though the preinstall check shows it has enough space to install.
Went back to Proton, same procedure, same NikGapps...

I have RMX1825. I tried Corvus, Lineage, PixelPlusUI and DotOS given in this forum(Oppo Realme 3). Everything works fine except fingerprint on Corvus. I'm currently using DotOs. I found this better than other three.

When will DotOS 5.1 come to Realme 3

* Selinux is permissive and unless you don't care about security and privacy of your device,use this rom, i am going to remove it.
