What software issue are you facing ? - Xiaomi Black Shark 3 Questions & Answers

I’ve been using the phone for the past couple of month as secondary phone with my work sim
I mainly use it for emails, teams, zoom and phone calls
the most painful issue is Bluetooth as the phone will connect to Bluetooth headset but never use it on teams and zoom…. So I restart the phone and works for couple of calls then Bluetooth is gone again despite the headset is still connected
tried factory reset even from recovery mode but never managed to resolve the issue
how about you ? What issues are you facing ?

[Q] Bluetooth connection dropping during phone calls

Hi Everybody,
I am having a strange problem:
I have several BT headsets connected to my phone. There is a JABRA Halo at home, a JABRA PRO at work and a CarKit in my car.
On every device I get connection drops on phone calls. I initiate the phone call and in the first 10 seconds everything is ok. Then the other party cannot hear me any longer.
If I switch to speaker and back to BT everything is fine for the rest of the phone call and in a time after the call for all further phone calls (it think if the phone is not going to standby in the meantime).
This happens with all ROMs I used. Original HTC, LeeDroid, ARHD, Beta 2.16 ROM. It happens also with all BT devices.
This is very annoying as I use my phone for business.
Does anybody have had a similar issue? Any solution?
Regards Frank

no bluetooth calls

Hi
i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Two months ago my bluetooth was working fine with my parrott system in the car, but all of a sudden i cannot make any calls with bluetooth though the system, i have tested the parrott system using my sgt and my wifes wildfire s with no problems.
I was suspecting my current rom was causing the problems, but after using 3 different roms, and change the radios / ril a number of times im still unable to make any bluetooth calls.
Im now suspecting i may have an hardware failure but i really dont want to return it to stock then back to htc, does anyone have any ideas what else i could try before i take the plunge?
many thanks.
Are you pairing the devices OK? Set the permissions etc for auto connect?

yep. ive done everything i can think of now, ive even cleared of the pair on both devices and still having no luck. the machine connects fine - it shows the signal strength and battery level fine on my car stereo head unit (parrott), and auto connects with no problems
i managed to make my sgt ring earlier but as soon as it was picked up it was silent then the call was dropped after about 10 seconds.
ive got to try some other bluetooth devices now, i tried it on my samsung home cinema and it streams music fine but the thing i want it for fails.
thanks

[Q] Bluetooth pairing problem

Hi everyone!
I have a strange issue with bluetooth pairing between my Nitro and BlueAnt S1 in my car. Phone doesn't see bluetooth device. The only devices that it finds - it's phones. Does anyone else have a problem with the discovery of a media devices?
So far I haven't had this problem. Mine pairs with my truck for phone or media.

I'm not sure how it was before unbricking, but afterward I cannot start a call with the bluetooth enabled and a device paired.
It was my fault. I found the problem. Memory in car kit device was full, I made reset and phone found and paired to car kit device immediatly.
Well, interesting. I just tried pair phone to a laptop, the phone and laptop showed different auth codes.
After few unsuccessful tries pair from laptop and from phone itself the phone decided to crash and rebooted itself straight to boot animation bypassing the two lg logos. After that it was acting sluggish and I disabled bluetooth and rebooted it.
Then I installed different BT driver on laptop and tried pairing them again, with exact same result. With no phone reboot I left BT enabled and after an hour or so I received a notification message that internal memory is getting low. Opened applications list, nothing out of ordinary, so I rebooted the phone, now it stuck at boot animation, except it's not looping, the animation did just once. I can access phone with adb but no root and can't even list anything besides the / directory, everything else is denied.
BT is f.up?
P.S.
running unbricked 10i
Definitely some oddities epithet this phone. Personally hoping that cm9 will clear most of this up!
I'm on 10i as well. I haven't been able to make a call once with bluetooth. Never tried before I had to unbrick.

After hard reset the BT worked fine, so I suspect it's due to some bloatware freeze I did in the past.
Bluetooth issues as well
I also cannot make successful calls with Bluetooth enabled after I rooted this phone.
- I rooted the Phone.
- I did a full factory reset
Everything works fine until I pair a Bluetooth headset to my device, then everything slows to a crawl and becomes unresponsive.
It takes 3 mins for the phone launcher to pop up when I hit a speed dial to call some one.
Please help. is there a fix for the bluetooth pairing issue?
I actually make phone calls on my phone and I like handsfree when I am driving.
Any Help would be greatly appreciated.....

hey,
was there any solution for the bluetooth headset issue here. really need some help. thanks. pm me if you can please as i don't regularly check nitro threads.

Bluetooth connections problems.

Has anyone encountered issues with connecting with a car bluetooth? My wife phone conntects with no issues.. She can use the cars remotes to make and receive calls.. Mine I have to pick a contact from the phone for it to work, it will not work with the car or my work truck controls.. It seems everytime it ask if my car or truck can access my contacts, I always choose allow, but nothing happens, but it works with the wifes.. This is with the Lollipop update, that we both have...
happened to me I just rebooted my phone and it connected, also check settings for that paired device

Got one to work, in my truck.. The car it worked for a while, then quit.. I will try it agian to see if it will stcik... Most likely caused by the 5.0 update..
I've noticed a Bluetooth problem that suddenly started in the last week or so. I upgraded to Lollipop when it first hit, and didn't have any problems.
Now, however, after Bluetooth works fine for awhile (I can connect to a Pebble watch, Bluetooth speaker, car Bluetooth, etc) all day long - then all of a sudden it can't connect to ANYTHING. Toggling Bluetooth off\on doesn't fix it.
Restart the phone, then everything works just fine for awhile. Until it doesn't, and I have to restart again.
Anyone else experiencing this pattern?
I've actually had the opposite happen. I have a iSimple bluetooth box in my car. I've never been able to auto connect with either VZW Note2 or 4. The CS rep told me it had to do only with VZW phones and he couldn't help me out. On another forum, another member mentioned he didn't have any issues with his older phone, so I dug out my old HTC Incredible. Sure enough, it would auto connect. Something changed with Lollipop, and now my Note4 will finally auto connect to the iSimple box. I tried using a third party Bluetooth app prior, but it didn't fix the problem.
Finally got the one in the car working as well... Because the wife and I have the same phone, I just simply changed the name of my phone and it works fine..
If your talking about the developer edition one rom update.. YES.. What fixed mine was wiping everything and redoing the one rom lollipop, then twrp, then installing Ricks Rom Lollipop, things have been perfect. I even addressed it in the ricks rom thread the week.
I haven't had any issues connecting devices but since Lollipop, when I am connected to a bluetooth speaker (car, bose, other bluetooth speakers) the audio gets choppy randomly.
I have done some searching and found others (LG g3) who had the exact same issue after updating to Lollipop.
I have tried rebooting, using different music apps, unpairing/pairing, forgetting the device ect and nothing seems to work. Anyone else having this problem after updating to lollipop? Anyone know how to fix it?

Bluetooth issues on official android Pie

Hi all...need some help with Bluetooth issues on my pixel 2 XL. I updated to the official Android pie today and noticed that my jbl Bluetooth earphones are having issues with calls. I cannot hear anything thing from the other side and the person on the other side can only hear some weird distortion. However I tried playing music on it and it works fine. Issue is only with calls. Anyone else facing this? I tried unpairing and pairing it again, restarted the phone, tried safe mode too but no luck.
Also I had sound echo issues with wired earphones (connected through dongle) on Oreo so I bought the jbl Bluetooth earphones and the echo was gone...and now after updating to Android pie my Bluetooth earphones don't work
Please help!

I have no issues wtih LG HBS730 BT headphones on calls or music with Pie. I've had four calls total, incoming and outgoing. I listened to music for about five hours too, no glitches.
I've had issues with the anker brand ones.
I have the same issue
Having issues connectingy to my car Bluetooth which has always worked before updating. Also experiencing WiFi drops.
Edit: went to stock Pie unrooted, and not as many wifi disconnects but my phone doesn't even see my car's Bluetooth connection . Fitbit connects just fine though. Weird..
Android Bluetooth is flakey as hell. Everyone gets a turn with incompatibility. P fixed my car with the first Dev preview. On O it was crud. There is a massive ongoing thread about it.

I had the same issue on my pixel XL on dp4 and dp5. Bluetooth worked fine for music but only crackled a little bit for phone calls. Both headsets and car were affected. Troubleshot it with Google rep and they told me my phone was broken. I also had multiple sensors stop working so auto brightness was broken and auto rotate was also broken (And a few other features like tap to wake screen). I ended up buying a pixel 2 xl and sending the other to Google as a trade in yesterday. Now I'm wondering if it wasn't just the software. I actually reset the phone and everything worked for a day or so before it failed again. I then exited the beta and everything worked on 8.1 Oreo for about a day before it all broke again. At that point I concluded it must be the phone. Hopefully the software didn't burn something up. I'm going to be ticked if this phone starts giving me trouble.
Are there any troubleshooting steps I can follow to see if solves the issue? Because it only happens on calls but music seems to be fine.
You can try rebooting in safe mode (long press the power off icon when you press the power button). I will restart with only minimal apps to see if it's being caused by a non Google app.

I tried this on my device but even in safe mode i faced the same issue
Ever since upgrading to PIE, I can no longer connect my my pioneer appradio head unit.
Phone works, but media Spotify or Pandora does not
Having the same issue, also, my "disable absolute volume" in developer settings doesn't work. I guess this is what to expect for early adopters.
I have had no issues with connectivity to my bluetooth headphones or to my car's bluetooth
However I have noticed that twice when I had phone call before entering the car and I connect to the car's bluetooth and the call is transferred to the car's audio, I get disconnected for a couple of seconds (after initially connecting correctly) and then it automatically reconnects and call continues normally ..

Stock Pixel XL: All bluetooth devices worked for all purposes on Oreo. After updating to Pie none of my bluetooth headsets will connect for phone calls. Bluetooth music broadcasting to speakers is unaffected. I'm going to call them about it tomorrow.

Are you having any other issues. My original pixel XL had the same issue show up on the beta but it also affected some of my other sensors as noted in previous post. I now have a pixel 2 xl with no issues whatsoever.

Well, they seem to think that the problem is an app from the play store that doesn't play nice with Pie. Frustratingly, the problem corrects itself sometimes (but not all the time) after a reboot. They had me reboot into safe mode and this time it worked. After 20 minutes our support call was over. 30 minutes later one of my three headsets (with the oldest bluetooth version) didn't work, but two of the three did.
The tech (Jen, who was super nice but sounded like she was overseas and had to repeat herself a few times for clarity) said they only have 2 support options for this issue: 1) boot into safe mode and blame one of the apps from the play store or 2) FACTORY RESET THE PHONE! Once I explained that the phone was my google authenticator she suggested that to further troubleshoot I should turn off two factor for my google account (Ummm, no thanks. And that is why you should always PRINT OUT the QR code and put it in a fire-proof box in case you need to recover it)
I'll post back if it breaks again, but right now at least I can live with it.
Only "issue" for me is my wife's ILX doesn't seem to update the music information anymore. With the betas it did for a fee songs then seemed to stop. Now it's nothing at all but will double check today since I only drive it on occasion. Other than that, playback on our cars, Bluetooth speakers and headphones has been just fine. Love that it remembers the volume set per each device. No super low or super loud volumes on the start of playback.

I also have Bluetooth issues with Pie when connecting to my car (2017 Audi A4 with MMI+) I never use Android Auto by the way:
- Music playback is flaky: I have to start Play Music before connecting to the car, otherwise it cannot stream anything. Sometimes even this doesn't work and I have to repair again. This sucks, you always have to spend some time to check if everything works!
- My Radar trap warning app blitzer.de only works when streaming Audio from the phone to the car, even though I set Audio to HFP. With Oreo, the app started a phone call, it looked exactly like an incoming call. Now it only adds the warning to the phone's Audio Stream, so when listening to radio or streaming from a HDD I get no warnings.
- Phone calls work flawlessly, though
Try removing or 'forgetting' paired device and add it back again. It worked with my AirPods.
