Second 8 pro I've owned this far.
This one is much snappier and I love it but as soon as I connected my bluetooth headphones and wasn't playing sound through then I noticed an issue...
After a minute or 2 of no signal(sounds) coming throughout the headset it will cycle a disconnect and quick reconnect following a final disconnect after 10 more seconds. This can be cancelled by making a sound go through the headphone ie music/notification...
I tried all the tricks online for all the bluetooth issues for most oneplus phone's to no avail.
Simple fix:
Headset settings, shut off phone calls. No more disconnecting
What headset? Or is this on multiple?
What firmware? Are you using a ROM or custom kernel.

Android 11 like .5.5 or something.
Stock but rooted, this 8 pro is a totally different animal then my last one the last one never disconnected like this one but it did run what felt was sluggish

Stock everything not sure it could be the boot image but I have no issues otherwise

Change the Bluetooth codec in development options.. Reboot between testing.
No idea otherwise.
PS: you could unlock the bootloader (it's reversible) then flash Evo X, I have that installed and it's been amazing

Rooted like I said it could be my boot.. otherwise I'm stock oos stock kernel but rooted heavily it hasn't been an issue and I am not sure on codec I can try that

Your post was merged with mine..didnt see the root part.
Then I'd stick with my initial post of it being the boot image.
Oh btw, don't overlook Evo X. I'm also a fan of stock but this ROM has the best of OOS and the best of all other ROMs baked into one.
It's an amazing ROM.
I have the issue with My Tesla with oss 10, 11 and 12 but nothin in oss9 if I need only phone calls going through Tesla and turn off media the Bluetooth keep bouncing and driving me crazy. Anyone know to fix it please

Столкнулся с такой проблемой блютуса, могу пользоваться в верхней шторке, но если я хочу зайти в настройки блютуза, меня выкидывает на главный экран и пишет ошибку приложения "настройки беспроводной сети". Эта ошибка появляется и тогда, когда я хочу отправить по блютуз любой файл из галереи или из проводника. Через любые другие сторонние блютуз приложения, скачанные с Google Play, тоже не могу зайти в настройки блютуз.

Очистка кеша или удаление приложения и данных блютуз не работает. Хотелось бы обойти без сброса к заводским настройкам. эта проблема появилась после последнего недавнего обновления.

It's not exactly about Russian, it could be any other language.
So the question is how exactly can one replace english letters (in Contacts there is a bar on top of the screen, just below the search field where you tap letters to skip your long Contacts list to the first letter of the person you look for) with let's say russian letters so I can use it for my russian names.
There's one known way - that will be applying Russian MUI. But unfortunately that will translate all user interface (menus, buttons, etc) and I don't want it to 'cause I wanna keep the original interface language.
I wish I knew all this stuff so I could do it myself but unfortunately I have no clue of what should be done. Anyone?
By the way we're talking about i-mate JAMin with the latest ROM.
1. Copy tapres.dll.0419.MUI & outres.dll.0419.MUI in Windows dir.
2. Install Leng Keyboard.

(1) Да, именно об этом я и говорил, в Contacts теперь есть сверху кнопки "а-ж", "з-м", "н-т", "у-ш" и "щ-я" и по ним можно сразу проскакивать до нужной русской фамилии.
(2) Но кроме этого "обрусели" интерфесы как Contacts, так и Phone. Ну и добавилась новая клавиатура для ввода.
Блин, а можно сделать так, чтобы было первое, но без второго?
не устанавливай LEng, поменяй в названиях dll-ек 0419 на 0409 и перегрузись. Но менюшки все равно обрусеют, для того чтобы вернуть английские меню, нужно править соответствующие ресурсы в dll-ках
Блин, в соседней ветке творят невообразимые вещи с ИнтеллиПадом и СмартДайлингом, неужели просто поправить в Контактс английские буквы на русские нереально.
А что надо изменять для возвращения английских менюшек (представим, что я таки скопировал одни лишь длл-ки, поменял названия и перезагрузился)?

Нужно открыть эти длл-ки каким-нибудь редактором ресурсов, найти ресурсы менюшек и вписать их по английски.
Понятно (ничего на самом деле не понятно). Значит, не в этой жизни...
Start -> Settings -> System -> LEng Options -> Disable interface translation.
Or simply you shouldn't copy *419*.* files in your %SYSTEMROOT%
By the way, if you have a lot of russian names in contacts, its better to switch off alphabetical index.
And does anybody know how to make names in sms\mail list display correctly? Instead of russian i see some garbage - looks like incorrect codepage...

I'm trying to do the same, but with Greek; I'm using a 3600 with Ax3l's WM6 rom v2.0.8, which is an english rom, and i'd like to have greek in the alphabetical index in Contacts plus greek letters when i scroll down (the big letter icons that u get when u scroll down fast).

you can use stock opengapps for 7.0 but for now you'll need to put gapps-config.txt file next to it before installation. it must contain line with WebviewGoogle otherwise play services will crash.

Recheck what man? I am using this rom as daily driver on my device and i didn't noticed any issue. Also make sure to update the firmware before flashuing the rom, or you can encounter sereval issues.

Hi guys, I need urgent help with fixing my pixel 3xl. i tried sideloading android 12 on it using the correct steps and after installing, it was unable to boot. Shows this error message:
"can't load valid operating system. the device will not start. visit this link on another device. g.co/ABH ID:61FDA12B"
also, my bootloader is locked and i cannot flash factory image because i had not enabled oem unlocking in developer options.
I really need a fast solution. Help

So are you stuck and your phone is bricked correct?
So I've been into android rooting and rom. Im not an expert but im pretty sure you need to have oem unlocking checked before you sideload the os.

i am unable to enter recovery mode. only fastboot. I saw that there is a method that's kept secret. it takes someone with experience to fix it

That is kinda kept secret as you can flash ANYTHING on the phone with it

ohh. never knew about edl mode. i gave it to a coder, i guess that's what he will use. does edl work even with locked bootloader? in a case where it wasn't checked in phone settings?
It has an entirely different bootloader to use for edl and you cannot lock it so unlimited flashing
