Question Moto g Power XT2041-4 Locked and stuck in Bootloader Help - Moto E (2020)

Hey XDA!
I am looking for a flash file that can be used for moto g power XT2041-4 for secure flash. Stock rom files can't be flashed.
The phone is locked and only boots to bootloader. There is no recovery image installed and I can not flash any recovery images onto it.

I have the factory image meant for this phone which is:
SOFIA_RETAIL_RPMS31.Q1_54_13_2_subsidy_DEFAULT_regulatory_DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip. This image was obtained and downloaded by Motorola rescue assistan which DOES NOT flash the phone, it starts but it returns an error msg.

Any help appreciated. Thank you in advance.

make sure you have the genuine partition recovery.img, first flash genuin one and then use Motorola LMSA to flash your ROM

someone has been able to fix it : C I'm in the same situation

yea... familiar thing because of dynamic partitions and slots A and B... probably you have got to the TWRP recovery with security set on the phone and you didn't enter TWRP with unlocking password... next time you get to the TWRP make sure your security is off (NONE) or if you accidently got their get through password login and then restart back to the System...
first try to get to the TWRP recovery, go to the terminal and type a command: fastboot --set-active=a, then reboot to the bootloader again and flash stock boot image, then restart in System, then return to TWRP and Install ZIP Magisk 20.4... and in the started phone open app Magisk 20.4 and set custom channel: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/t...5ffa9b079f3a411dd2c00a80a3d985ccc/stable.json
if you can not startup phone and it still returns to the bootloader flash stock recovery and stock boot images and get through the procedure of rooting from scratch...
PS: well... it worked for me... flash boot and recovery images in FASTBOOTD mode (fastboot reboot fastboot) I even flashed to slot A and B simultaneously like this and always make sure you have this command at the end: fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
@Echo off
c:
cd\
cd "Android\ADB"
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot devices
pause
fastboot reboot fastboot
pause
fastboot --set-active=a
fastboot flash boot stock-boot.img
fastboot flash recovery stock-recovery.img
fastboot reboot bootloader
fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
fastboot reboot bootloader
pause
or
@Echo off
c:
cd\
cd "Android\ADB"
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot devices
pause
fastboot reboot fastboot
pause
fastboot flash boot_a stock-boot.img
fastboot flash boot_b stock-boot.img
fastboot flash recovery_a stock-recovery.img
fastboot flash recovery_b stock-recovery.img
fastboot --set-active=a
fastboot reboot bootloader
fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
fastboot reboot bootloader

Baseband for XT1789-06 Nash German Retail

Hello,
I have a problem with may XT1789-06.
I have flash the baseband from XT1789-04 from this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76123350&postcount=2
So the Sim Card are found, but I have noch Mobile connection.
So I Think, it's Easy, you can flash NASH_RETAIL_8.0.0_OPX27.109-34_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml with
Code:
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash bluetooth BTFM.bin
fastboot flash dsp adspso.bin
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.3
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.4
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.5
fastboot flash system_b system_b.img_sparsechunk.0
fastboot flash system_b system_b.img_sparsechunk.1
fastboot flash system_b system_b.img_sparsechunk.2
fastboot flash system_b system_b.img_sparsechunk.3
fastboot flash oem oem.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase carrier
fastboot erase ddr
fastboot reboot
and all it's fine.
No, so i have no baseband, no Sim Cards and no Wlan. I Flash only the modem.img from 1789-04, baseband is working without mobile connection
My fastboot getvar all at the last state

Errors re-locking bootloader. xt1676 DS

Hi. I'm trying to block the BL again but I can't. By fastboot he tells me about allow oem, not being selectable in the developer menu he also tells me about oem not signed. The system version is XT1676_CEDRIC_RETEU_DS_8.1.0_OPPS28.85-13-6 I want to block it again since I probably sell it. Thank you.

Assuming you are on stock rom
These steps may vary slightly as I don't have this device
Goto phone settings
Select About phone
Software information
More
Tap build number until it tells you you're a developer
Go back to settings menu
Now you can select developer options
Enable oem unlock and also enable USB debugging
Or Flash stock rom firmware first and then do the steps
Yes. Stock
oem unlock appears but is not selectable

It's probably greyed out as your bootloader is already unlocked - you're meant to enable it before you unlock the device
What happens when you type in fastboot mode
fastboot oem unlock
You may get a message to accept on the phone
You can also try re-flashing stock firmware via fastboot and then attempt to lock the bootloader

I would Re-flash the entire stock firmware including gpt & bootloader and then try again
You can also try and flash magisk and then see if you can enable oem unlock again
I finally got it ¡¡¡ :victory:
I downgrade to nougat and installed magisk FROM twrp and was able to select oem unlock in developer options.
Maybe the downgrade was not necessary but despair made me try and risk.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH AGAIN. :good:

Moto G8 Play Stuck On Fastboot (No Bootable A/B Slot)

Sorry if I have some grammar errors, English is not my main language
OK so Recently I bought this phone from a friend thinking it was an easy fix by just flashing a rom but I couldn't find a way to make it work.
I've tried many way on how to fix, via LMSA and from ADB but got no luck.
The rom I use is the one who LMSA gave me:

This is what the command ¨fastboot getvar all¨ trows at me:

Hi Juan
Very simple to solve. In the bootloader with the side buttons go to find recovery, in recovery the droid will appear, hold the Power button and with it pressed press up on the volume and hit factory reset . If that doesn't work what I think is impossible ,because your bootloader is blocked only using midiatek's flash tool

Thanks for the fast response, but my phone goes back to the fastboot menu after attempting to get in the recovery.
Is there any way I can get my hands on a scatter file, I didn't find one online or where I can contact someone who is willing to help?
same problem

XT1922-2 JETER softbricked (newbie)

Hi. I've unlocked my phone for flashing and tried to install different ROMs, but nothing works.
My device is XT1922-2 JETER and I thought I'm having issues because I tried to install aljeter (as I can't find any jeter for XT1922-2..)
I tried to install different ROMs from TWRP, and even if it didn't give me any errors my phone was keeping loading into bootloader. Tried to use "fastboot oem fb_mode_clear" command but it didn't help.
Help me please, as I have no ideas what to do next and how to fix it. I don't know how to leave bootloop and make phone to load system.

Try these https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/aljeter/official/RETEU/
I tried, didn't work.
In the variables it says JETER.
(bootloader) product: jeter
(bootloader) board: jeter
I suppose XT1922-2 JETER could be a version which is exclusive to the UK.

Download this file --> https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmwar...ubsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip
Then you open the CMD and put in fastboot devices and the phone code should appear, of course the phone should already be in fastboot mode for that moment.
If everything is in order you should copy these commands:
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot flash dsp adspso.bin
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.3
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.4
fastboot flash oem oem.img
fastboot flash vendor vendor.img
fastboot erase carrier
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase DDR
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot reboot
Just select all then copy and paste them into the CMD and the stock installation process will start :fingers-crossed:
I suppose you've saved my phone. Thank you very much!
Hi, I carried out the instruction as given above by Ruben8ap, on my XT1922-2 Aljeter Moto G6 Play phone, and have recovered my phone, so I can boot into the OS, but I have lost access to Fastboot and TWRP, etc. So, I now have a phone that is stuck with this OS and no way of gaining root access or anything else. My bootloader says AP Fastboot Flash Mode (Secure). I cannot flash anything from the stock recovery on the SD card. Can anyone advise how I can get out of this state?

Moto G8 stuck on boot screen 'M' but goes no further

So, I have just acquired a secondhand phone Moto G8, sticks at the M boot up screen and goes no further. I can access fastboot and the PC recognises it, and can access stock recovery and factory reset. Just does the same. Tried the moto firmware repair tool but didn't recognise the phone was connected (despite fastboot working). Thought about unlocking the bootloader but I get a failure when I request the unlock info in fastboot, so can't get the unlock code. Ideas? If I could unlock the bootloader I could manually flash the stock firmware.
I downloaded the official firmware from lolinet - which is basically this: XT2045-2_RAV_RETEU_10_QPJS30.63-35-1-17_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml This is showing as correct on the bootloader screen, but to be sure I ran fastboot getvar: (bootloader) kernel: uefi

So I know I've got the right firmware.

Just tried to flash twrp recovery (different one to listed but probably wouldn't make a difference) got this:
fastboot flash recovery twrp-rav.img target reported max download size of 805259264 bytes
sending 'recovery' (42408 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.912s]
writing 'recovery'...
(bootloader) Preflash validation failed
FAILED (remote failure)
finished. total time: 0.936s
I'll try the suggested one, probably won't be any different

nope same message
NVM - I worked it out - used the mfastboot tool rather than fastboot, and plugged these commands in:
.\mfastboot getvar max-sparse-size
.\mfastboot oem fb_mode_set
.\mfastboot flash partition gpt.bin
.\mfastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
.\mfastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
.\mfastboot flash radio radio.img
.\mfastboot flash bluetooth BTFM.bin
.\mfastboot flash dsp dspso.bin
.\mfastboot flash logo logo.bin
.\mfastboot flash boot boot.img
.\mfastboot flash dtbo dtbo.img
.\mfastboot flash recovery recovery.img
.\mfastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.0
.\mfastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.1
.\mfastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.2
.\mfastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.3
.\mfastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.4
.\mfastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.5
.\mfastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.6
.\mfastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.7
.\mfastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.8
.\mfastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.9
.\mfastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.10
.\mfastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.11
.\mfastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.12
.\mfastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.13
.\mfastboot erase carrier
.\mfastboot erase userdata
.\mfastboot erase metadata
.\mfastboot erase ddr
.\mfastboot oem fb_mode_clear
I did this manually but you can use the firmware guide elsewhere to run a batch file which will do it for you (I just preferred methodically going through each one by one!)
All back and up and running now. Please ask if you need help, I might be able to suggest something now!
Hello, I have the same moto g8 and I have not been able to solve anything as you could, the command already downloads the mfastboot and it does not recognize anything, we are already in android 11 and change this partition is not there. \ mfastboot flash super super.chunkg.11_sparsechunk.8 and this up to super 15 will you help me?

Hi there, so I figured out how to flash this thing a while back but it can be a nightmare to reset. First, you should try lenovo rescue agent to see if it can fix it, most of the time, the software can fix anything you've done. If that doesn't work, you only have one option left. You have to flash chunks in fasboot to reset, which isn't to hard. Now if you are trying to flash a custom rom to this phone you have to first have android 10 stock flashed with a password in place, with no numbers. I use a simple word like five. The reason is you cant unlock system and decrypt it if it has nothing to decrypt in twrp. You can flash in a custom recovery otherwise though, likes lineages custom recovery thats built for this phone. The other issues you are going to run into are making sure your using the right build, there's like 20 for this phone because it was built out and sold as a bunch of different models so it has a bunch of stock roms. If your phone is unlocked use the retus in lolinet and flash chunks. It's best to flash custom roms ontop of a stock android 10 in fastbootD with this phone, regardless if youve been told to use twrp or not, imo.
