Thanks

I downloaded and installed this rom today. Was testing around and I notice tw possibleo bugs. 1. Is that my FOD doesn't work and the second thing is that when I decrease the screen brightness to minimum, my phone screen becomes black like the screen is off but it isnt, also cant use adaptive brightness for that reason. I attached a video to show a demonstration of the issue. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-6-yufcDcivPQOyPkAm3ogkEOQvzcZo9/view?usp=drivesdk

On my edge, yesterday (Sunday) morning: Havoc was a snap to install, root, config...everything was fine except for the phone service part. I had no phone service. Phone service, from verizon, that I usually get, was a no-go. Not only did I check to see if it was plugged in, I also turned if off and then back on again. (NO? Lol...)
Initially, I could 'do a thing' and phone service was restored. However, this was short-lived as 'the thing' was an unreliable kludge and stupid and WTF - Also, android 11 convolutes and/or wrecks things about android 10 that I like. I went back to Lineage. Then, I had a pleasant phone call with a buddy because I had phone service, which, was pretty cool, because, I was using a phone.

US carriers, always a hassle.
Anyhow, a log is always helpful

Hello everyone! I just have a small question regarding this ROM. And I think some Edge users would also like to know the answer. As some of you know, the latest official update to Android 11 broke the waterfall screen on our Motorolas. The screen is not fully populated by the applications, instead, the waterfall edges persist black. This is a bit of faux pas from Lenovo's / Motorola side as the main point of this phone are these enormously curved screen edges. They keep telling me that this is not their fault but Android 11 Waterfall API and app developers. Does the same issue occur in this ROM?

Sho 'nuff.
I would care at all about a log, troubleshooting, and fixing if this were my only ROM choice, but, it's not. Also, I don't have time for that. I'll try Havoc again after 4.6.

Hi there! I got an issue when installing TWRP recovery. After the installation and rebooting to recovery I cannot use the touch screen and thus cannot continue further actions.

How did you install twrp?
I would advise against using the twrp installer zip as this happens.. You should just manually fastboot flash recovery_<a/b> twrp.img

Installed. However upon boot, there was no set up.
It booted straight to homescreen.
Formatted everything except external sd so it should have prompted set up.

That's good for you.
However that wasn't my experience.
It was a "fresh" and proper install.
I just wanted to bring it to attention.
Next time i have time, ill reflash with my current files and repost info
Everything is working fine for me no bugs at all so far I used it for some days now but aptX HD isn't working for me at all, anyone else has this issue? It worked on havoc 2.x
How to update if an update comes without loosing data and a clean flash ?
Working great on Canadian variant. Only issue I'm having is magisk, it likes to continue pop up saying application was granted supersuser rights but doesn't appear to let it. Also, camera crashes when using flash. Thank you,

When you Flash your roms when you go too reboot in twrp do you have "install twrp if not installed" and "install twrp apk" checked? If so uncheck them... Also just go to reboot don't do the other options just reboot without twrp doing anything...
(I can't remember the exact wording of the options)
I was having issues a long time ago... And this was what was causing my issues

Hi everyone. Just letting you know that I come fom Havoc OS 10 on my Galaxy S8 (dreamlte) amd that I'm extremely satisfied with Havoc. I also have a Galaxy S9 (starlte) and were looking very forward to the opportunity to install Havoc 10 on my S9. And behold, at last the opportunity arrived. Thanx to all of you for your hard and dedicated work. It does not go unnoticed and is appreciated very, very much.
Gonna try it tonight and will keep you posted. :good:
Hi! Thanx for the BEST ROM I've ever met for Galaxy S's!!!
Why your SCREENSHOTS link https://photos.app.goo.gl/U8YDbDZCEVDQrSKU6 is dead? The project itself doesn't look abandoned but that section does.
Vendor image
Hey guys,need some help please.
I'm not able to install it. Using Galaxy S9 SM-G960F.
I completely deleted everything, like I always do when installing a new rom.
When I flash this with my fresh installed TWRP 3.3.1-1 (newest), it tells me about a "vendor image for Android 10 needed“ error.
I'm am not able to find or get this suspicious "vendor image“ .
It's not listed in the installation description nor a single word written about it, also no download link for it. Can't find anything in the hole forum too, only people asking about help and how to get the "vendor image" to flash it TWRP.
Also, I've never seen it answered.
what are my options now? Thanks!

I had the same issue yesterday.
You'll need to reinstall the stock firmware (android 10) with odin, then install twrp (with odin again), then install this rom.
hope this help you
After installing gapps, settings-ringtone-drop!
notification ringtone-drop!
where is the call recording?
Best LOS base Rom for S9/S9+ hands down.
Im using one for my S9+ and its been smooth. I dont even need any custom kernels.
Notification sounds don't work, clock positioned center or right makes it disappear. Any chance ti get those fixed? Would be perfect ROM.
I'm on v3.5 anyone tested v3.6?

What resolution is set by default?
Well, the rom itself seems to run just fine. But - sometimes I like to play a game, when waiting somewhere for example. But with this rom I'm not able to run any of my 4 favourite games! They sit on the loading screen forever or throw errors and crash. First I wasn't sure if these games might be too old and therefore may have incompatibilities with Android 10. But in fact they are not. I don't know what is going on, but there are some problems it seems.
Edit: Ok, weird enough, I was able to run one of the games at least. But first after I've enabled the gaming mode in settings. However, I think the gaming mode just enables some CPU/GPU boost and/or keeps it scale on higher freqs for a smoother experience. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Sim card not detected
Hey guys, I've just installed havoc OS on my S9 and unfortunately the Sim card doesn't seem to be detected. I flashed version 20200615 to correspond with the Gapps-nano of the same version. Any suggestions? Thank you for your time.

Additional installation instructions if coming from stock MIUI:
In order to install a custom ROM you must have an unlocked bootloader. You can apply for this at Xiaomi's official site: https://en.miui.com/unlock/
You then need to install a custom recovery. Official TWRP builds are available, and the official maintainer has a thread with installation instructions here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi...covery-unofficial-twrp-xiaomi-mi-mix-t3941867
Once you have TWRP installed, boot into recovery mode. Wipe cache, dalvik, system, vendor partitions.
You are strongly advised to flash the latest modem firmware. You can grab that here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/xiaomi-andromeda/files/firmware.zip/download
WARNING: You will lose all saved files on your internal storage in the next step, make a backup of important files before proceeding
Data partition must be formatted (not wiped) to remove forced encryption. Use the bottom right "Format Data" button in the Wipe menu. You will be asked to type "yes" to confirm your choice.
At this point your internal storage will be empty. Reset the phone and go back into recovery. Copy the ROM from your PC to the phone, click install in TWRP and select the ROM. If you wish to install gapps/nanodroid, copy it to the phone and install after the ROM.
Reboot back to system and enjoy custom ROM goodness

Thank you lnkypen I'll install on the weekend and test it
Excellent firmware. Thanks.
From the bugs I noticed a broken Wi-fi display and no 60fps in the video recording And you can't choose a ringtone.

I confirm the WiFi display issue, very strange because it works in the other ROMs I built.
The default camera app only supports 30fps. If you want 60fps recording then install gcam. 4K recording is not working on gcam but Cinema 4K has been tested as working.
Got no problems with selecting a ringtone here.
Havoc 3.6 is up: https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi....6-20200608-andromeda-Unofficial.zip/download

I was the only one who had a problem with the choice of tunes.I must have done something wrong. Now I've switched to pixel.
I figured out why you can't put your own tunes in the factory.it was the gaps.if you set a pico, then the choice of a ringtone occurs with an error.I set the standard, everything worked.
I just installed this rom, coming from Stock EU. After a little soft brick (stuck on bootloader), I finally installed the 3.6 version with the Micro Gapps.
It's amazing, very smooth, thanks a lot for it !
Just a little question, on the screenshots, I saw a refresh rate option, but can't find it on my phone. Is it removed ?
Once again, Thanks a lot !

The screenshots are to give you an idea of the features available, not every device will have all the options. For example: it's pointless having fingerprint on display options when andromeda has a proper rear fingerprint reader, or having hardware navigation key options when andromeda doesn't have them.
If you wan't to adjust your phone refresh rate, check here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi...mod-overclock-screen-to-69hz-refresh-t4079987
Unfortunately, since moving over to a proper Q based kernel, the high refresh rates no longer work and you're stuck with a max 69hz
Great firmware. Thank you so much.
But I do not have enough brightness on a sunny day on the street. Please add brightness in the next updates.

This is not currently possible. My java skills are non existent so unless someone volunteers to rewrite the slider handler, the current slider implementation isn't going to improve.

July update is out! This build and all future builds have encryption enabled. Unfortunately this means you will need to format your data partition in order to install this build, but this is a one time only thing.
I can confirm that F2FS is working perfectly with encryption if you wish to change file systems. The official TWRP doesn't currently support F2FS encryption (as of version 3.4.0-0) so if you wish to make use of F2FS you can use my unofficial build. EXT4 partitions are unaffected. https://mega.nz/file/aVwSHCZC#VkJV3Mby5pQmxzVcI500EB0jBPqMX76PlVJHwJh6MB4
I can also confirm you can switch to a different ROM without formatting (just the usual wipes) so long as the new ROM you are installing is also encrypted. All of the other ROMs available on my sourceforge page are encrypted. This change might mean that you can come straight from MIUI without formatting but this is completely untested by me.
Here's the link, and remember you MUST format internal storage if you are on an unencrypted build:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi....7-20200713-andromeda-Unofficial.zip/download
Havoc-OS v3.7 Changelog 07-07-20:
• Merged July Security Patch
• Added Per app network isolation
• Added VoWiFi statusbar icon
• Added VoLTE icon from OOS 10
• Added VPN QS tile
• Added ability to show daily data usage
• Added toggle to force custom doze brightness
• Added icon shapes from Android R
• Added QS tile accent tint
• Added QS statusbar style
• Added Raise to wake
• Added toggle to disable SIM
• Added Edge light animation direction
• Added Edge light Faded/Solid view
• Added configurable sensor block package list
• Added Ringtone focus mode
• Improved QS detail view layout
• Improved AOD QS tile
• Improved Biometric dialog
• Improved AOD charge settings
• Improved IME space toggle code
• Fixed Notification guts color in dark theme
• Fixed Network speed format for 10*KB
• Fixed custom theme crash in landscape mode
• Fixed App drawer background transparency
• Decreased USB-Debugging notification priority
• Other fixes and improvements
I fixed the encryption issues I had with some of the builds so I have re-released version 3.7. https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi....7-20200713-andromeda-Unofficial.zip/download
This has a vendor mismatch warning from cold boot, it doesn't create any problems and you can safely ignore it. I should have it fixed in the next update.
I can not update
Tell me why I can not update my smartphone xiaomi mi mix 3 5g with the latest firmware Havoc-OS-v3.7-20200713-andromeda-Unofficial.zip? Previously, I did Wipe System, Data, Dalvik, Cache and after that everything was perfectly updated, and now the operating system does not boot, but returns to twrp. Now I have Havoc-OS-v3.6-20200613-andromeda-Unofficial.zip

Read post number 17, specifically the part stating that you must format (not wipe) data partition because the new builds are encrypted.

I can build any Android 10 custom ROM... just have to download 100 GB of sources and wait about 5 hours until it builds
I don't even have Z00L, only Z00ED, so it's pretty awesome that this build boots.
I'll also upload a new build today, which should fix the vendor error messages.
Thank you very much
Can you make it for the Z00T?, please

Hi adazem009,
I installed the latest build - Havoc-OS-v3.12-20210418-Z00L-Unofficial.zip
Unfortunately I confirm the initial error message "Your vendor image does not match the system. Please flash the MMB29P vendor image for your device." and there is no IMEI.
But I confirm:
root with Magisk
Wi-fi ok
Gps ok
Double tap ok
Unfortunately, I cannot test Volte as there is no coverage in my area.
Thanks so much

Excuse me so much ...
Right now I was able to insert a sim, and the IMEI is recognized.
I did not know that the IMEI is not displayed until a sim is inserted into the slot.
I encountered another small bug:
Outgoing calls work, while to answer received calls, you need to lower the status bar, as they are not displayed in full screen.
As for the audio, I didn't have any problems.
Unfortunately, I confirm that the camera is completely broken: the app starts, but as soon as you take a picture, it crashes without saving any files.
Thank you so much for the great job

Hi, can you try this camera app? https://forum.xda-developers.com/at...33_minapi19-nodpi-_apkmirror-com-apk.5262703/
Meanwhile, thanks for the availability adazem009
I have installed the app:
as regards the photos, after the first shot, all the buttons are no longer clickable, the app does not crash, but it is no longer possible to do any operation and the photo is not saved . instead the video recorder works fine

Found out what's causing the crashes, I'll try to fix it next week.
By the way, why do people think ZF2 Laser doesn't have enough support? I think someone is already working on LineageOS 18.1 (Android 11) builds, which I think were already booted on Z00L.
OK thank you very much.
Anyway, apart from your work, that of markkiths, Reikarin for the kernel, and the groovy android team, I don't see any other rom development for this device

Thank you SyberHexen for the Havoc-OS-v4.5-20210527 build. Works fine like always.
This is the best cutom ROM (GSI) I’ve used. I’ve had it for few weeks, it is stable and great. Thank you and keep up the excellent work.
I downloaded Gcam8.2_Pit-Zo-Def_Mod_v1(fix) and with few tweaks as directed by the guys at https://t.me/gcamchannelbr it is working perfectly.

Maybe I used the term GSI simply because it is unofficial yet.
Do we have an option in 4.5 to remove brightness slider from Quick Settings?

Ah, all good!
With regard to brightness slider, not currently but maybe In the future.
Thanks for the ROM, so far working great, I'm just missing one thing, where can I find the settings to activate the "Clear All" apps button from the recent apps page??
this need the bootloader unlock?
Thanks for the ROM
Well, it works correctly and all, but i noticed that it didn't mark device as certified on Play Store settings
