What's ColtOS
Needless to say, ColtOS Project is custom ROM based on AOSP by a team of learners with all the necessary customizations, without compromising the stability and security of the device.
We have cherry-picked the features from many other open-source roms/projects and we are very thankful to all of them!
We try to keep ColtOS as stable as possible, on an off chance you faced any issues with official builds, please let us know via our official telegram group or XDA thread.
Team ColtOS
We, The ColtOS Team, are a bunch of Android enthusiast coming from a wide variety of industries (some of them don't even belong to anything related to programming or coding). But we like what we do.
We are young and growing team of learners. We are still learning and helping each other learn as well. Thanks to entire ColtOS team for giving their precious time to this Project.@rakesh batra - Lead Developer and Founder of ColtOS

Thank you for your response, but there are only 2 files in dumpling folder. v7.0 and v7.1. I tried the download link of sourceforge mentioned above. Build date for v7.1 is 21 August. Is it the lastest file ?
Edit:- i am asking because I am a bit confused because 7.2 was released yesterday in the telegram group.

Sorry, yes, my mistake. I was equally as confused. It is 7.1, but the build date is 21 August, same as the release of 7.2. I believe that 7.2 is on the way however.

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first created based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean because of curiosity. In the early days, it was just a one man show on one device (EVO 3D). However, many others have joined the project since and it has grown a lot. We have seen a wide variety of talent contribute to this project of ours and many of our contributors have gone on to help other projects, and that is ultimately why we do what we do.
Once Jelly Bean was over, we decided in Kitkat to move to a new base, which was OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting because it challenged us to see what we could with something different.
With Lollipop, we have moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. With that said, it has been an awesome learning experience and it's still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward.
Few more things we will say is that we don't accept nor ask for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc.....
All we do ask is that you search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

Looks interesting!
Flashing and reporting soon
Edit:
Which kernel are we supposed to flash? The one that comes in the .zip? You wrote crDroid Kernel ... Is there a link to a specific version?
@Saatvik Shukla we dont have crDroid kernel for our device
To all others, the kernel inside the ZIP really doesnt boot

have you tried cm12 or rr kernel?
Have tried everything.
Ended up going back to stock firmware and back to CM 12
Found no such kernel for our device by searching the web. We would need a link if there is a compatible kernel.
Any other kernel can be used.
I can confirm boot from CyanHacker Kernel.

Why not compiling the ROM with a compatible kernel included? Sorry if the question is dumb
h,
I think would help if you post also a kernel here with recovery which works.
thanks.
hi,
from the dirty tweaks are missing the nav bar settings.
specially nav bar high and hold back to kill.
so far the ROM is good.
thanks.
is video recording working properly?
hi,
i saw some changes on this ROM for other devices.
they will be implemented also for Z1C?
thanks.
@Saatvik Shukla:
This rom has a lot of potential. But unfortunately the first build is not usable for me. Beside some settings like ambient display that doesn’t work, mobile data is not working for me. When opening apn settings, there are no apns set. My provider is O2 Germany if that matters.
Sorry for the missing logcats.
Keep up the good work on DU, the rom is worth it :highfive:

Because fm radio is not open source.
Hello, since I did not see a "known bugs" section, what should I expect?
notably connections, camera... is everything working?

I've noticed a bug in the camera when i open it directly from Whatsapp.
Also a bug in Bluetooth audio (music only), but i think it's from Lollipop itself, and not from this rom.

Hello!
I'm new to all this flashing and stuff, so I don't want to take risks with my phone. I then don't know whether I should flash this version or the previous one. I mean, the previous one is probably more stable since it's been there for a while, but in the other hand, I'd like to taste some Nougat. What do you guys suggest me?
Thanks a lot

Thank you for your time and effort.
Hej!
I can't use Google Play Store... If I try to install (or update) any app, the app is downloaded twice (?!), after that the installation starts and that's it...
Does anyone know, where my problem is?!

AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012), and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Android Lollipop, the ROM has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS), we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP and then changed to be based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP) for Android Pie.
We changed again for Android Q-R with a base of AOSP repositories and some additions from LineageOS for device-specific repositories.
If there are any bugs we will sort them out if it concerns our codebase. This ROM isn't LineageOS supported, so there is no need to report errors/bugs to them!!
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead USB-OTGs,
* thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.

The ROM already contains everything you need to enjoy Android 11. You don't need to install any add-ons, simply follow the flashing instructions and go!
It is STRONGLY recommended to do a clean flash before flashing AICP for the first time, and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup (or with any backup/restore app) as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug - restoring user apps is fine though.
If you believe you know what you're doing... ok, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
Clean flash
(Again: don't do it if you don't know!)
1. Download ROM, firmware base, Magisk (optional) and GApps (optional as well, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work) and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to your recovery.
3. Flash the firwmare base, and then the ROM zip. Then, flash GApps and Magisk if you want too.
4. Wipe dalvik, cache, and format data.
5. Reboot, set up your device and enjoy.
Dirty flash
1. Download ROM and GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work) and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to your recovery.
3. Flash the new ROM zip + GApps if you flashed them before too.
4. Wipe dalvik & cache.
5. Reboot and enjoy!

We try to keep ColtOS as stable as possible, on an off chance you faced any issues with official builds, please let us know via our official telegram group or XDA thread.

AOSP, it's written on the first line of the Introduction.

thx for update !
I'm liking this rom. This and AncientOS have a ton of options and are my new 2 favorite roms. The only thing this rom needs is a clear all button at the bottom in recents.
