[CLARK][ROM] PixelExperience Plus [11][UNOFFICIAL] - X Style (Pure) Original Android Development

I based off lineage trees, with some minimum modifications, so what's different from @chrmhoffmann's 18.1 lineage ? At the moment, pe has selinux enforcing and added some tweaks that should smooth up the experience.
Apart from the bugs described on his thread :
VoLTE is disabled (will unfortunately not be able to fix that easily)
Dual SIM is not working (for devices that have Dual SIM)
Speakers do not sound as good as on stock
Camera is not as good as stock
Battery life when the screen is on is better on stock than on Lineage
I found out Bluetooth calls aren't working either and chop-chop from moto actions isn't as well.
Please report any other bugs down here.

Hello dear developer!
Did you manage to make friends with an external memory card with the camera ??? To save photo-video and other operations with it?

I did not wait for a response from the developer, I installed the proposed firmware.
Installed, the phone booted. At first glance, everything works, I was pleased with the work of the camera in tandem with external memory. But .... the services installed by Google ate almost all the RAM, and if you also install additional user applications ???? The phone is thoughtful and strong heating - this is clear from what. The processor is heavily loaded.
In my opinion, you need to reduce the functionality of Google services, or install a lightweight version, or give the user the right to choose.
Our phone simply does not support this firmware, it is heavy for him.
This is just my opinion, nothing more.
Thank you for your efforts, dear developer, I think that this firmware has a prospect.

"High" ram usage is normal, it's not wasted, it's just being used for a purpose.
I also experienced heating during setup put afterwards I started using the device and didn't hear that much.
However I might build the regular version of pe in a future, I built the plus version because it's what I had synced on my machine.
Regarding the sdcard, I didn't test yet

thanks for the answer!
External memory yes, saves photos and videos when shooting. Works. Excellent !!!
Can you try to release a separate version without Google applications? Replacing the main applications (calendar, dialer, sms, contacts ... etc) with lineageOS applications.
And each user himself has the right to choose what is better for him, a naked android with the installation of his own choice of Google services or already with pre-installed Google services.
This is, of course, a colossal work on your part ...

I made the firmware easier by removing unnecessary Google software and services, it became faster. I noticed that writing to external memory is slowly going on. In general, not bad, quite everyday firmware. A little bit to finish, and great !!!

I forgot to add, the heating of the device is still present.

The system is overloaded (the phone is thoughtful, slows down) There is unnecessary and useless Google software
With a little work of the phone, noticeable heating appears
LED indication does not work when receiving notifications
Slow writing speed to external memory. (Saving photo-video, copying to / from a memory card)
This is the main thing that worries. Maybe other problems do not have such problems. In general, the firmware is quite suitable for everyday use.
In any case, thanks to the developer for not forgetting about our old man)))

Work So Good For Me,Facial Unlock,Camera,And All Things,I Dont Have A SIM Because My Phone SIM Tray Is Broken !! Good Broh,In The Next Future Try To Bring DotOS 5.1.2 For Our Moto X Pure !!! Thanks A Lot For The Work !!!!!!

You probably set the camera application to save the foto video to the EXTERNAL MEMORY. But when you restart the phone, the external memory sometimes falls off. That's why the Camera application also falls off. Try to reset the data and cache of the camera from the phone menu. And do not overload it often.Try to install OpenCamera, it works.

I don’t know what to answer, you can transfer the base files or not, I don’t have such knowledge, I’m not a developer. I’m the same user as you.

I installed this ROM, mostly because after I upgraded the firmware to Android 7, most of the ROM is not compatible with newly updated bootloader.
I want to share my experience in case other people encountered the same problem.
1. Once I installed this ROM and performed a reboot, it *WILL* stuck at the boot animation forever (I let it run overnight to prove it)
2. To get around with this, you have to flash the "pixel experience" recovery, and boot into that recovery.
3. in recovery, perform a factory reset
4. reboot to system.
If this didn't work... then, put the pixel experience ROM image onto a SD card. Instead of step 3, you "update" the phone with the pixel experience ROM image from this "pixel experience" recovery.
It should work by then.

First of all thanks to the developers. . Thank you for your work. .
Secondly, I want to talk about my problem: there seems to be a problem with the game, it freezes when playing Clash of Clans, and then restarts after pressing a bunch of them. . Tried and tested, will the developers fix it?

[ROM][2017-10-22][UNOFFICIAL] XenonHD ROM for Mix 2 (Chiron) [7.1.2]

XenonHD ROM for Xiaomi Mi Mix 2
A Team Horizon ROM
Based on AOSP r36 7.1.2
This ROM has all the features XenonHD has to offer.
All hardware functions including:
NFC
Bluetooth Audio
Fingerprint Scanner
Doze & Wake-up Gestures (dtw works after the first reboot)
And...many more things.
Magisk is no longer built in, so you'll need to flash it when first installing, and after every dirty flash.
VoLTE doesn't work (at least on T-Mobile). I believe most of the pieces are in place, but there may be something in the firmware that's preventing it? If I could figure out how to tap into the stock cust files, I might be able to figure out how to get it working.
Proximity Sensor is working:
Notification Light:
I have slowed down the notification light so it isn't all amped up. To make it completely usable, go to:
Fixed default notification blinks for built-in apps so they are slowed down without needing to go to settings.
For use-installed apps, add them to custom notification list in settings > notifications > gear icon > notification light > + in upper right corner > select app. Apps added to that list will have slow notification blinks.
I simply cannot find a way to make user-installed app notifications behave the same as built-in apps. Grrr!!
I have also made the light sensor wait longer before dimming the screen. This helps with left-handed activities blocking the light sensor and almost immediately dimming the screen.
Reduced time to go back from dim to bright. Screen will dim after 5 seconds, returns to bright after 2 seconds.
I've remove configpanel & pocketmode...they did little to nothing, and may have caused more battery drain than I care for.
Required prior to installing:
Unlock Bootloader
Install custom recovery: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=962021903579490303
HUGE thanks to IceMan for bringing this to Mix 2!
A quirk with this TWRP: This one looks for backups in TWRP/BACKUPS/MIX_2 folder. Normally, the MIX_2 folder is named after serial number of your device.
So, you existing backups won't be found until you rename the folder in BACKUPS to MIX_2.
Installation Instructions:
Dirty flash is now available with the above TWRP and 10-26-2017 rom.
Download the most recent build: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=673791459329071426
Download Gapps (I use Open Gapps Mini) --> http://opengapps.org/
All versions from 10-24-2017 are now encryptable.
From TWRP Recovery:
IF COMING FROM MIUI-BASED ROM: FULL WIPE AND FORMAT DATA!!
If you encounter ERROR 7, during XenonHD install, install Global MIUI ROM, then do full wipe and data format again, then install XenonHD rom.
If coming from AOSP-based ROM:
- Full wipe (Cache, Davlik/ART Cache, System & Data)
- Flash ROM zip
- Flash Gapps zip
Huge thanks to Mokee for bringing this device up and making a great place to start.
Also a very HUGE thanks to @Arasthel for his work on proximity sensor and figuring out the bluetooth reboot stuff and other hints, suggestions and incalculable work.
I'd also like to thank all of you folks here for trying this ROM and providing constructive feedback.
In addition, I appreciate your patience when issues come up that need to be fixed. I am not a developer, and I have a full time job and a wife that takes precedence most of the time

THX for the ROM @hondajohn88 ,very much appreciated. :good:
Is this 1st release identical to the beta?
Just curious,as I tried to dirty flash over the beta & got the same errors as if coming from another ROM (wouldn't flash).
Is a full wipe (less formatting data) necessary if updating ?
I don't mind setting up from new again, even if just updating from the beta build.
However, wondering if incremental updates are going to be an option on future builds.
THX.
Sent from my MI Mix 2 using XDA Labs
Bluetooth seems to be working fine for audio/calls. Need to try video/youtube audio output on car (will do it on the drive back home)
ROM is slick, its been good so far (2 hours since i have set everything up)

Oh yeah...I need to add that to the OP, for some reason, dirty flash won't work. There's a couple weird things with this build, one is I can't make a dirty build or it breaks Wi-Fi, and can't dirty flash. I don't know the reasons, but if I figure it out, I'll be sure to let everyone here know. It's an extreme pain in the ass.

Glad everything is working for you so far. Bluetooth audio in car should work (it does on mine), but I found the volume on the car set to zero so needed to turn that up. That was a brief "oh crap" moment that I thought it wasn't working lol

It seems that we both have faced this issue. I just got A2DP working yesterday on Resurrection Remix by using sagit as base - without msm-8998 common and all that -, imagine my surprise when I saw you also did .
Anyway, I think the WiFi bug may be related to something going wrong in the build. When you build the ROM, kernel sources are used and you can see that the wlan.ko module is built. The problem is, wlan.ko is also a binary blob found in vendor. I believe that on the 2nd build, if dirty, one of these modules overwrites the other - which worked. Maybe you can test this idea, I will be doing it too on the next days.

That's cool you got the Bluetooth working on RR, knocking little things out one by one ?
Thanks for the idea on the Wi-Fi, I'll look into that this evening. Maybe there's a file I can delete before dirtybuilding. That would make testing things a lot faster! ??
By the way, does android auto work on your rr?
Everything except proximity sensor works and works as good as stock. I have installed custom font, black swift substratum OMS theme without any hiccups. The rom is buttery smooth and I've been getting a better battery drain trend on this compared to resurrection/mokee. I have naptime doze installed to see if i can ooze out more battery goodness to the levels of epic Rom(miui 9)
Overall this is super encouraging to see a daily driver rom this early for mi mix 2.
There is one edge case which might be a bug, when connected on car Bluetooth and watching something on YouTube.. And then you get a call, i pressed answer on the car knobs/buttons.. I couldn't hear the person talking.. Car was displaying "audio disabled message ”. But talking/call and video/music in isolation works just fine.
Android auto works for me. I'm on RR now. Might come to this if we can get Android auto working. How did you guys fix your Bluetooth audio on RR (we can move this to the RR thread if you prefer) @Arasthel

Thanks for the info about android auto on RR. I'll take a look at their repo and see if I messed up a USB setting somehow.
As far as I'm concerned, other ROMs can be discussed here.
Open source should be crowd sourced for maximum problem resolution.
RR probably (?) Did the same as me... Mokee made a commit in qcom/audio that did the trick.

I haven't used rr for this phone, but I think at this point rr probably has more options. This one has quite a few, and as son as I get most of this ROM straightened out, I'll try adding more options.
I'll add some screen shots of the settings to help people decide.
Thanks ?

I know you understand how important is to upload a source code of your rom. Because all your work based on a source code from other contributors of MTK community that they provided for everyone. Your rom can even has my code (just because one of the people you mentioned used it). So I think it is important to share the code with the community. It will helps to fix bugs and create new roms in the future. And it will be fair for all people have been making roms before you. Also some people (like me) want to make enchancements to original code from Android vendors but it will be impossible without source. I hope you understand my position and will make needed acions once you will be ready to show it for the public.

My message was for Dinolek
And Treble support is good but not enough if you want to build a rom for yourself because Dinolek made changes for core system libraries/frameworks. And kernel is not a problem at all. The problem was to make everything working on system-level and Dinolek did it. That's awesome.

i replied on his behalf only he have exams i was also there when he was bringing up this project now i openly say why sources are hidden you know lunik he charges money for developing roms also he didn't provided credits to patches owner dinolek did it for us i know other developers also want this but if all sources goes out i am damn sure lunik will copy his work and earn money from it so sources are not open tho kernel sources with modifications are out you can bringup with that kernel

I'm not using clear aosp sources, I based on Mediatek alps 8.1 source code, that's why it's hard to share it in proper way.

About 2 and 3, install latest 6.2.0.0G from flyme site, not twrp one.
For 4 flash the fix from rom download link fix_alsps_mblu2_oreo.zip, it will be included in next update.
About 5, we don't have gyroscope, on other firmwares it is emulated from magnetometer.
What do you mean in 9?
To disable hardware keys and enable software flash zip from faq.

@sheepkill15 I have a question mate. Is there anything specific regarding the installaton process of your ROM? I installed your RR-O-v6.1.0-20180907 and 8.1 GApps mini but I've been sitting on a bootanimation for over 20 minutes now. Thanks for your effort and sharing the ROM with us.

There's nothing special to be done, but yes, sometimes it's stuck in bootloop. What I usually do is:
Hard reset, wipe everything except microsd, delete the zip from sd card, copy it again and install again.
Idk why it needs sometimes to be flashed again, but that way it will boot for sure. A normal first boot with this rom should be around 7 minutes

I got it to work, and it is great. I just have one more question. Do you have any recommendations on which gcam version to use? Thank you once again.

In the current build, the biggest problem is that the buttons dont light up, but I fixed that in the meantime, just haven't uploaded it yet. The other noticeable issue is that the battery life is not perfect. I'm working on it too. The radio isn't working yet, but you don't use it, there's nothing more.
I don't know about dual sim, since I have the normal one.
Does anybody else face a problem of a laggy front camera using apps like snapchat/messenger/instagram?
Thank you very much for this rom bro
problems are :
The Rom :
- Didn't detect my saved contacts on both sim cards.
- Didn't have the same quality of image but it's not bad.
- The calculator app still more than 1 min to open ( something weird)!
- Battery usage looks perfect !
- The configurations in settings gives a lot of helpful things such as the customization of the notification panel and the power menu !
.
so what i did now is that i rooted with magisk and i installed ( Root explorer R ) pro version and installed ( System apps uninstall ).
i deleted ( Calculator,Camera, browser, messaging, music player,gallery.....etc) then i installed an Alternative for them. so now i have my customized RR V6.2.0
it's awesome with root. But for who installed this rom you can go to settings and find the display PPI ( you will find it about 400ppi ) i changed it up to 424ppi( the original A5 2017 ppi ) and now works perfectly .

Friend I've been with your rom for a few days and it's the BEST ROM OF EVERYTHING! I say this in a matter of customization and having a purest experience that samsung ...
I have an A520F (two-chip model) and both are OK.
The problem is that it has some really annoying bugs as a problem to play media (especially songs that get squeaked and at first I was worried if my headphones had damaged), also has bugs in the camera that seem to limit their quality a lot, bugs in the interface in general that make the device reboot out of nowhere (it happened to me 1 or 2 times during the time I am with the rom on the device [4 days]), bugs on the physical buttons as previously said, among others ... These were the most important bugs I had with rom.
I have some suggestions for interesting implementations to make in the rom like stereo audio (it has this function in Hades), just leave the pixel launcher more notifications optimization on the always on display and one good thing I believe developers should do is provide a form of install a separate galaxy s9 camera package that is present in rom Hades for all roms.
You are doing a good job and good luck for more projects in the future. I'll probably record a YouTube video about your future rom and give you the credits.

Tested, works really well! Good job! Even the battery usage is great. It's smoother compared to 7.1.
As it's pointed out, Gapps breaks RIL. Everything else works except radio and offline charging. Installed Aurora Store and I'm pretty happy with it.
Things I tested:
☑ RIL
☑ Camera Front/Back
☑ Video Recording
☑ Bluetooth
☑ WiFi
☑ Sound
☑ GPS
☑ Calls
☒ Offline Charging, it loops.
☒ Radio, phone freezes.
@notfood
I can confirm your tests, but can you please test Videorecording with 1080p. For me the Video Quality (only with 1080p!) is low, becouse there are randomly White lines from the left to the right in the Video. (Like in all builds after 08/2018)

I see the white lines, they're sporadic but they're there only with 1080p.
HI
My findings so far: All things mentioned above are working for me as well, but with some exceptions:
GPS finds plenty of satelites, but doesn't snap in ( no position..).
Battery- charging freezes once, I had to reboot to go on.
In Whatsapp recorded video-sequences aren't playable ( frozen screen or artefacts..)
I couldn't find any menue to choose the touchscreen - triangles for moving the cursor in a text document.
I'm looking forward the next Version....:fingers-crossed:
Just tested this rom on my GT-I9301I for an hour or so and i have to say that auto-rotation doesn't work sometimes, also i don't know what exactly RIL is but i installed the gapps aroma (customized) and didn't realize any issue related to gapps until now, and also i got a new phone recently so the old phone doesn't have a sim card anymore, and i don't plan to put one on my GT-I9301I, so my old phone is somewhat like a test device now, i have tried some custom roms before but i didn't like them too much, this one doesn't look bad, except i wish you could do something about offline charging.
Error: this package is for device
Thank you for your contribution! I tried to flash it to my GT-I9301I with the help of TWRP 2.8.5.0 (I know its old, is there a better approach?). Before flashing i wiped everything, now when I try to install it from the sdcard it fails with the Error "E3004: This package is for device: s3ve3g, s3ve3gds, s3veg3gjv; this device is ." What am I doing wrong? Why is the installer not recognizing my device?

You have to use a newer Version of TWRP:

I know this is only for the single sim variant, but would this work on a duos without ril at least? I don't really need ril that much right now.

Waiting for an edititon for Sony sensor! On Sony sensor not works camera and flashlight, but rom is usable as daily driver.
Auto-rotate is working in YT Vanced and other apps only sometimes.
This is very cool ROM, better than Nougat!

If it gets stuck, you are probably running an outdated firmware. Get the latest from Sammobile or check the Telegram group. You will need Odin or Heimdall to install it. Be careful which firmware you are burning, it can brick your device if it's the wrong one.
For more than an hour it is stuck in the installation screen

Just bought my a new Evo 860 ssd so I have enough storage for building multiple devices . So yes more build coming this week for Sony and dual SIM.
My 300gb ssd before didn't quite had enough.
Hi Thargorsson,
First of all. Excellent work on the new ROM!
I have just got a hold of 5x S3 NEO and wished they had a newer version than 4.4.2.
After some searches on Google I found this forum. I'm going to wait until you have an updated version of this ROM.
Please keep us all posted on any progress
Cheers,
Steve

Development [ROM][13][ENCRYPTION] Official LineageOS 20 for A72

Updated to Lineage 19.0!
Hey man! Everything is working great as far as I can see right now. Only one big drawback is the fingerprint scanner not working on Galaxy A72. It's not that it's registered and then it's failing. You can't even register it sadly.
Any fixes soon? Or is there a workaround which I am supposed to do, that I don't know about?
Thanks!

There are some suggestions.
Google Camera does not start, crashes. On GSI it helped to turn on the vendor Q.
In the screen settings, can you add a graph of picture saturation settings?
And is it possible to add a system backup to Lineage Recovery?

1. Which version of GCam? BSG works fine for me.
2 & 3: No, such features don't exist.

No, it shouldn't be related to the kernel.
I'll investigate soon.

Of course it's a pity lineage recovery won't have a backup function, it's inconvenient to flash twrp every time.
And the colour saturation setting as on oneui is missing. I don't understand why you chose LOs, there's nothing in it at all, you can't even choose colours in styles. I was sitting on GSI 12A CrDroid before your firmware, great firmware in terms of customization. Never used google services. Never used google services.
Unfortunately when upgrading to GSI v402 the phone is extremely hard to start. About 8 times on reboot out of 10, 8 times caught bootloop. And this is on any v402 firmware.
In any case your firmware is better, even without having to patch separately the boot for magisk in order to run it on 12A GSI

Yes, it is.
tried this rom its quite unstable loads of issues, still its the only rom at the moment. I reverted to stock.
Ok this was posted in haste and a bit in irritation what I meant is simply this is not useable as stable rom,
Its unstable and has issues. This is not meant as a revieuw or judgement of said rom. Its the first and currently only one avalible and kudo's to the creator. Its listed as development. Its just a quick feedback for those like me that just like to know if its stable or not.

Would you mind telling me about the issues you experienced?
From my point of view (and from what others told me) it runs pretty stable and mostly bugless on both A52 and A72.
I have it running for weeks now as second device. Only real issue is fingerprint sensor and camera, could not find any gcam mod that would work properly. Apart for it - runs stable.

Sorry Muyst have missed this,
Also edited initial post cause it was imho blunt and to negative. Sorry about that I have nothing but respect for mod creators.
I din't extensivly test but:
Vingerprint reader but this was known.
I had some screen issues (swiping up from bottem wouln't work so couln't close apps.
pixel launcher kept crashing (yes this might not be rom related but nova launcher also had issues)
General instability possibly all related to screen.
There where some other issues but as said my intention was not to extensivly screen it the above combined with the other small issues made me decide to remove it again.
I was using lineage os 19 in my Samsung Galaxy A72. It's better than pixel plus ui rom. It has 90hz screen refresh rate. But this rom has the following bugs also:
1. Proximity sensor not working at all;
2.Fingerprint or face unlock not working;
3. No safety net pass.
