I'm glad it worked for you, thanks for sharing.

How come, according to the information here, the rom seems to have no bugs, although after OctaviOS was uploaded to mediafire (see timestamp in the image) you write on another thread that there are still a few bugs to be fixed?
LesterDMolester said:
Hmm, strange... worked perfectly fine for me.
I'll try port some other rom, but trust me not an easy job, most of them require a lot of workaround to fix the bugs.
I'm currently working on OctaviOS which is based on Android 11 but there are still some bugs.

Dude i wrote that it had bugs before i uploaded the ROM
Look at the time i wrote that and look at the time i uploaded the ROM.

@LesterDMolester
How do you recommend to flash magisk? Before the first boot?
and in which way or which magisk file?
I tried it myself several times and always got stuck in a bootloop after flashing Magisk. Before flashing magisk the os worked flawless.

You can't flash the original Magisk on this ROM, you need a specific forked magisk version for treble which you can find HERE thanks to @DarkJoker360 .

Thanks for the quick reply.
Maybe you could add this to the instruction so others don't to the mistake i did.
As the device is already rooted with preinstalled superuser what are the advantages of flashing magisk as well?
And if you flash it anyway, won't superuser and magisk conflict with each other, since the device will be rooted twice?

Hello, you will think ADB works agian? I need it in the future. Will happy if it works. Darkjoker has a Problems with adb, but in the newer Versions of Android Base Roms11 ADB works.

Power off your phone. Press Power On + Vol Up + Vol Down. You will downgrade.
2. unlock your bootloader: Connect Phone per USB to PC. Boot into Fastboot (press Power and Vol Down), open a adb console (cmd): fastboot oem unlock (your unlock code).

We’re really excited to announce the release of Paranoid Android Pie betas.
On first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. For those who are unfamiliar, Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhances the overall user experience.
The beta builds include adjustments and improvements on top of the stock Android CAF base. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features.

# Reserved

a many thanks @33bca for your hard work you put into developing for our a2 lite
what bothers me most before trying your pa rom is the question if i can revert back to stock (inlcuding a/B Partitons and Stock Recovery, Encryption ) without any problem ? and if so what steps do i have to do to revert back to stock ?
normaly i would just make a backup from within twrp of my stock Phone and then do a restore if needed but as i unterstand it right thats not possible at the moment with the extisting versions of twrp for our a2 lite ? so maybe just get a2 lite into fastboot mode and flash an original fastboot image ?
Nice thanks ?
and some more questions @33bca on your instructions to install the rom:
Requirements
* Required * firmware version must be based on P-based builds.
so one must have 10.0.3.0 or 10.0.4.0 version of stock firmware on the a2 lite?
Formatting data (all user data is wiped, including internal storage) is a must if the storage was encrypted previously.
how do i find out if phone is encrypted or not ? if i goto settings and then security & location - advanced and if there under encryption and credentials at encrypt phone it says encrypted - then i have to format data (from whithin stock rom or from within twrp ?
Instructions:
Boot recovery from fastboot (TWRP recovery for Mi A2 Lite)
so here i use your bootable twrp img file (from your first link) with the command "fastboot boot recovery twrp-daisy-3.2.3-0-offain.img" ?
Format /system and /data
ist this the step you mention in the requirements or to i have to do this additionally to the step in the requirements ?
Install AOSPA zip package
just flash your pa rom within twrp ?
Install [optional] TWRP flashable
so here i flash the twrp (flashable from your second link) within twrp ?
and finally when should the "Forced encryption disabler" be flashed right after first time booting into twrp or after formating system and data ?
Yeah I need more detailed instructions to get this work ?

Yes but this one is said dealing with dynamic partition. A must have.
Is it planned to have a release devoted to Curtana.
Thanks
EDIT:
I've just tested it on Curtana in order to test file copy/modify in system via file explorer.
Unsuccessful trial. System is still kept at read only state.
Anyway a real nice interface design. Thanks to devs.

It is working from what I can do on a Curtana. It cann't install because digest is not in accordance but should be working well on Joyeuse and at any point better than LR modded fix release available at T.me.
Just boot it on your phone and try it like that.
Recoveries struggle to get stable on this device/system it seems (what is the status of PBRP: alpha, beta, stable?). I saw something about a Android 10 Boot Partition causing the problems but would like to understand better if and how Recovery will work nicely with this device and Custom ROMs. Can someone point me to a explanation/thread why on RN9P, Android 10 it is so difficult to get a working Recovery for Custom ROM Install/Updates?
hello,
bravo for this excellent work, since the time we hoped functional custom recovery. Are all backup and restore functions functional, micro sd recognition, etc? ... Thank you
the right commend for Flash the recovery.img is "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
second, i get decrypt data after i reboot to recovery.
I have curtana twrp on joyeuse phone. Can ı flash via curtana twrp?
Edit 1: I tried install via curtana twrp. Error 1 fail...

Are you referring to the xiaomi.eu rom v11.0.5? If so, there's alot of people reporting problems booting after flashing that version. You're probably not referring to the stock rom, as I don't think there are any recovery flashable zips for that available.
In regard to fixing your wifi problem, in reading through the GSI rom thread, there are many reports of wifi being lost after flashing the boot.img from a different version of the stock rom than that which users were originally on without updating the other partitions. If the v11.0.5 boot.img was flashed to your phone, but some other partitions failed to flash, that may explain things. You could try downloading/extracting the v11.0.4 boot.img, either from the stock or xiaomi.eu rom package depending on which you are using, and flashing that again from fastboot using "fastboot flash boot boot.img".
Otherwise if that fails, reflashing v11.0.4 in its entirety should hopefully get your wifi working again.

If device bootloop then you need to install stock rom by using ost tool in download mode but all data will get erased. It'll restore android pie / 10 stock
Google it...DRG-351F-0-00WW-B04 (pie), DRG-415C-0-00WW-B01(10) and Nokia_OST_LA_6.2.8
Extract zip then choose that folder in ost, select .mlf in that folder...mode (normal, erase erase data, erase user data, check ap status)
I am having some problem with the installation of this rom. After downloading the initial build zip file of this rom. I booted into twrp recovery and format data and reboot to recovery. I now wipe data, system, dalvik, vendor and internal storage and install the rom, vendor and twrp by flashing it using twrp and then change slot. The whole process is successful but the rom refuses to boot into system but keeps booting back into twrp recovery mode when I try to boot into system. Please help in resolving this... Thanks...

I'm having trouble while installing this rom. Everytime I try to install it would load till step 1 (When doing ADB sideload it said serving 33%) and failed with: error applying update: 28 (ErrorCode::kDownloadOperationExecutionError). I have tried re-downloading directly to phone internal storage and flash from there but it still fail. ADB sideloading also fail but it's not the usb cable fault because I can load other roms just fine. Please help and thanks in advance.

Bug reporting:
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
[*]Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
[*]If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
[*]If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
[*]Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

Your steps don't make sense, the first install steps refer to crDroid when this is Derpfest, it also says to flash twrp via recovery when the default MIUI recovery does NOT have any option to do so or to flash any other zips (when in fact your link is of OrangeFox, that isn't TWRP) and both the "first time" and "update instructions" steps say to flash gapps when in bold letters above the link you say not to flash them.
clean up your post bruh, because these steps look like a copypaste ya took from a crDroid thread you grabbed

You may wish to update the "TWRP" link in your OP to point to the "miatoll" folder (instead of "curtana" - which will only lead to a dead link).
is there a version of your rom without GAPPS?
@bezke
Hi, master.
I have a joyeuse and unfortunately it doesn't flash.
I think it's bad access to /system.
No Android 11 works on my joyeuse here on xda and unfortunately there aren't many phones here.
I tried your Android 10 RR, which works like a charm.
But unfortunately I'm not lucky with Android 11. I think the problem is in the dynamic partition (/system_root, /vendor, /product). Twrp can't mount it.

which TWRP are you using?
i have installed the OrangeFox Recovery project and it works.
you must follow certain procedure and should be fine.
Not every Android 11 works for me but it is not due to access to the partitions (at least i believe)
i had problems with SimCards which were not recoginized.
at this moment i had installed the Legion Rom based on the Android 11.
works well, Magisk installed, Fdroid with all apps too.
Safetynet passed.
netflix runs w/o issues.
i followed this procedure:
1- install TWRP (Russian one exe file) and enter TWRP.
2 - click on Wipe, then on Format Data -> type "yes" (this will decrypt the phone)
3 - restart the phone to TWRP
4 - In TWRP, i installed the OrangeFox Recovery Project (Version 11 Alpha)
5 - Restart to System

btw, i tried:
- Carbon (there were some missing features) - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-unofficial-11-0-carbonrom-cr-9-0-miatoll.4210823/
- Fluid (worked more than well) - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-fluid-1-1-for-miatoll.4212633/#post-84226211
- LegionOS - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...rtana-excalibur-gram-joyuese-unified.4188403/
i had problems with:
- Pixel Experience (not recognized SimCards)
- LineageOS (crashing)
hope it helps you a bit.
@Seba_Poland
I tried these.
I didn't try OrangeFox because I think there is a problem with encryption, as Bezke wrote, if I understand it good..
twrp-3.4.0-14-curtana-unified-mauronofrio
PBRPMiatoll20201014
PBRP-miatoll-3.0.0-20201101-1929-BETA
TWRP-3.4.1B-joyeuse-fix.img
I'll probably try.
*I use magisk hide, magisk hide props and gpay fix, so the safety net works well for me. I do not use Netflix, I cannot confirm.

Try latest OrangeFox ( 30 December 2020 ), the "decryption issues with custom Android 11 ROMs" fixed, you can find here: https://orangefox.download/device/miatoll
I have experience with Orangefox recovery on my previous phone, is the best recovery for Redmi note 7, using now on my note 9pro too, DarthJabba9 is a great developer.

exectly, i updated and it has encrypted the partitions w/o issues.
btw. i have same experience with RN7 and OrangeFox.
the only bottleneck is the backup restore. it took some time until i released how to proceed.
@Seba_Poland @vlouis @DarthJabba9
All right, guys!
So OrangeFox the only recovery with which I can flash Android 11 and the system will boot!
Other recoveries must have a problem on Joyeuse.
Thanks for the help!

I am using this room for more than 7 days. Here are my review.
Good things..
1. This rom is so smooth, i didn't feel any leg. I tried many roms including pixel experience plus but it have legs in notification panel. But this rom have no leg in whole ui.
2. So much customisation. Your phone, your way. (Without root, with root you can do more)
3. Take screenshot in restricted apps without root. (Just disable windows secure flag)
4. Option to create 5Ghz hotspot. (Pixel experience plus doesn't have this feature).
5. And much more..
Bad things...
Everything in this rom is good.
Give a try to experience your new OnePlus Nord.
A very big thanks to developer.

I used orangefox recovery for oos 12. It supports 5G. Battery is good.
Don't flash recovery, just boot recovery via
Fastboot boot recovery.img (on oos 12)
After installing custom rom you can flash custom recovery.

You can enter your screen lock code, if you are on oos 12. If you decrypt partition, you can install rom from your internal storage. If you skip this step, you can install rom from adb sideload.
In both case you can install rom.
