crDroid is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device also attempting to bringing many of the best features existent today
Features:- Android 10 with August Security Path
- Based on LeddaZ's device tree for LineageOS
Sources:- Manifest
Thanks to:- LeddaZ for the amazing device tree
- EmiriUchi for the effort on maintaining the LineageOS build up to date with the latest security patches
- The amazing Miatoll community
Why are you releasing an Android 10 ROM now, when Android 11 was released a while ago and Android 12 is just around the corner? For the latest months I have been used LeddaZ's vanilla LineageOS build and I had been updating whenever a new security patch was released. And it has worked amazingly well for me, being a great mix between stability and minimalism.
However, I needed to switch to a ROM that support Signature Spoofing, so as to install MicroG and use an App that I need that requires Google Play Services. So I decided to compile a LineageOS-based ROM that supports Signature Spoofing natively, such as crDroid.
Since it is working great for me I thought I would share it so that anybody can use it.
TL;DR: I wanted a LineageOS-based ROM with native Signature Spoofing and LeedaZ's device tree, so I compiled it and I though I would share.
A little note regarding updatesI intend to keep on updating the ROM whenever a new security path arises (monthly), making little (or no) changes to the device tree so that each update can be dirty flashed safely over the previous version of the ROM, as I don't want to have to wipe all data in order to keep my phone up to date with security patches.

Hello, I flashed this ROM, but I had to immediately switch back cause headphone audio sounds so ****ty and muddy. I disabled audioFX and it still sounds way muddier than stock. Have you ever used wired headphones and compared this to stock, or have you never noticed this issue? The volume is also a bit distorted on the last few steps.

I don't usually use my phone for music because I have a dedicated music player for that purpose, but I've tested it with wired headphones and IEMs and it sounds fine.
I have to say that both of them are really sensitive and it gets unbearably loud at around 40% volume, so I can't tell if it gets worse on the last steps.

I have Curtana.
I tried this rom and I have to say it is very good. It's been a while that I've used AOSiP (A10) rom because of its reliability and customisation options, but its security updates stopped in March. Same for Resurrection Remix 8.6.4 but that stopped development in December.
Your rom has the latest security update to July which is great. The only problem I noticed was that GPS lockon is a bit slower compared to AOSiP and RR (resolving the address) and there is no option to increase Ambient Display brightness for notifications (like in RR).
If you could fix these bugs then I believe you will have created the perfect A10 custom rom for Curtana, and I will definitely use your rom as my daily driver!
BTW, I didn't come across the audio problems that have been mentioned in a previous post.

Yes, you can flash this ROM on miatoll devices

really want to try this. but if its not too much to ask, can you make the play store certified without using magisk/root? i really prefer a10 with updated security patches as well. havent really fully adapt with a11, my last rom as aosip as but dev already stopped last march.

I flash this rom on redmi note 9 pro + opengapps pico.
after a few days of usage i fount vibration sometimes not working need reboot to fix it. and mobile banking app not work.
other than that, this is most stable rom i have try.
will be appreciate if this rom can run this app
Livin' - Aplikasi di Google Play
Satu akses kebutuhan transaksi finansialmu. Sahabat untuk living a lively life!
play.google.com

As of now it does not pass safetynet by default (without Magisk) because the fingerprint does not match the security patch. I will change that for the next build.

I just got home and flashed the rom, for this being the first build the performance is suprisingly fluid, and i like the feel of this rom compared to other Lineage based os's
Will always be my favorite ROM for any device. Reminds me of the good ole moto g falcon days!
Being able to change the fingerprint unlock attempt limit and the Mac randomizer toggle is such a steal for me. Will be here for a while
Looks awesome! Great work! :good:
Are you planning on releasing updates in the future? Great ROM!

For starters there's only features that are necessities to a good experience and nothing more unlike some other ROMs that just throw everything in. That itself makes a great improvement to battery life and having all configurations in one menu and sub section's is plain and simple just the way some prefer it to be.
P.s more lockscreen options are available by entering security>gear icon: Which is a good example of not rewriting things to be in a 'configurations menu'.
Same with LED settings for battery/notifications as well as heads up configurations. They're in notifications>gear icon, exactly where they should be.

Yes, if there are changes on github, i will upload a new build. But I think there will be no significant changes because all Rom developers are concentrating on Oreo.
Nice ROM.
Love it
Just wanted to let you know that this ROM scores about 74500 in Antutu, by far the most of all ROM's here. Thanks for the ROM, it's by far my favourite!
So after using the ROM as my daily driver for a few days I've noticed that this build has great battery life despite using the camera a lot and browsing reddit frequently. Havent even used naptime on this Rom so I couldn't imagine what my battery life would be if I did. Thanks for this once again man, I really appreciate it!

Thanks for the kind words. I'm a little surprised at the positive feedback because I need to build on a virtual machine with only 4GB of RAM and I'm always happy after fighting with loads of Jack Errors that the result is bootable. I hope I can keep up with oreo in the future. ?

Jack usually gives errors but I found that if you increase the heap size it makes a difference on the amount of errors you get

Yes I know that. My heapsize is well configured. But I often had jack connectivity errors. There are more parameters you can change. Most of all I was helped by the downsizing of max services in the jack config file.

Valerie! It's made from the same theme developer that created fantasy the theme has 21 color choices, 19 background choices (even transparent), animations, custom headers and wallpapers, etc. It's a completely beautiful theme with tons of work put into it. The developer updates it frequently and even themes the slash screen for most apps that are themed by it. Trust me, its worth the Money!

That's pretty nice, I usually use Swift Dark which the dev is also quite active and always updating but I've been looking to add another theme to the fold to switch it up some times.
I can confirm what the other guys said. This rom is just great and runs so fast and smooth. I hope this will not be the last build .

Nice ROM, thanks!
The most bugless rom so far, good job!
On the way installing , ?
Wow.. Looks like an awesome rom.
What about some bugs that were with your [10][UNOFFICIAL]SuperiorOS.
Such as call disconnecting bug, half installed apps on launcher, facebook audio call - no sound issue?
Are they on this rom also? If not, I'll also give it a try. Thanks.

I'm getting:
Error applying update: 7 (ErrorCode:: kInstallDeviceOpenError)
Updater process ended with ERROR: 1
while installing the ROM via TWRP. Sideload also doesn't work.

I've tried to build ExtendedUI for Daisy by myself but I couldn't get it to work, glad to see you managed to build it and even make it official on the release. It's pretty awesome, but performance isn't that great, maybe cause I dirty flashed it from POSP, I will also try to use Chunchunmaru kernel. Great work and thanks!

Good thing you managed to have it worked. Going from non-GApps to Gapps'ed ROMs need clean flash as they differ from GApps packages (some components of previous GApps will force close), some apps will force close due to different or lacking components, customization will also looked wrong due to different way of customizing system.
System, Data and Cache wipe will be sufficient enough.

Just flashed clean from 10.0.13 and I see no diffirence in performance (it's far from POSP smoothness), customization or anything like that, hopefully performance will get better with every update. I will stay with it only cause I like Google apps way more than AOSP apps

It should work just fine, like every ROM that "requires" specific version of Android ONE, if don't then you will have to flash 10.0.13.0 then ExtendedUI
Battery drain is insane, 15% every 3 hours. I disabled AOD, but it's not that. In comparison, on 10.0.18 I got 4 days.
ROM performance is awesome and I'd like to keep it. How to deal with this?
I chose Clean Install, wiped everything. I installled fresh all of my apps. Battery section in Settings doesn't show anything strange.
Hello there,
A pixel like rom with a few features from xiaomi UI and few tricks sounds exactly from what i was looking for my daily driver!
However my rooting days are far away and i think that i could use a step by step procedure to refresh things a bit.
I'm have a locked bootloader/ stock version of the mia2 lite on android 9 january security update. Never rooted or anything.
What should i do first?
Unlock the bootloader i guess? how is it done these days? Root the device, install Twrp? All those things before i can deal with the install, am i wrong?
Is there a one click rooting procedure for the daisy?
Anyway, i'm looking forward to try this rom!
Thanks to the developpers

We are very excited to announce the release of Paranoid Android Quartz, based on Android 10.
On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app, included in our builds.
Our builds are based on the Code Aurora Forum Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.
Notice
As we are growing on our list of supported devices in each release, we require of a stronger build environment so we can speed up the compilation process for releases. Based on the actual Quartz 4 list, we support over 30 devices, which takes between 2 and 3 days for all the builds to be completed without counting possible compilation issues or rebuild needs, based on our current specs.
We kindly ask all of you that are in position to donate anything, to help and support us so we can provide better and faster build releases, as well as increase the download speed of our servers, all looking for your enjoyment.

Is Magisk supported?
Installed the latest stable. ROM is smooth and looks really good. Messenger calls work properly (which is a bug I had in Havoc & Lineage)
Issues I had:
1. Camera is really bad (extra emphasis on this; it's terrible). Even with Gcam mods. Specially compared to Lineage OS (Lineage has the best cam)
2. Recents menu & gesture navigation is buggy (doesn't always work)
couln't run any dolby atmos module, device is stuck in bootloop.

Now I'm using pe based on android 10 and this ROM with gcam can recording video 60fps without issues, but paranoid with gcam can't do it. How fix it?

I haven't tried to use Atmos yet on PA but maybe try a clean flash and wipe and format everything and flash permissive zip so that you'll be permissive instead of enforcing which is what this is by default. Maybe also use Canary Magisk latest and flash it all in one run. That's what I'm about to do now. I'll let you know if Atmos works and doesn't loop once I see what's up. I'll then edit my post here and add results to this same paragraph.
edit added: I forgot that GH's Dolby Atmos changes enforcing selinux to permissive. I tried a few things and same results , always bootloop but this is OT and I dont want to be disrespectful. I wont post anything else about sound mods here op...My bad.
I came here to say that you do an excellent job @herna building this rom!! AOSPA is solid and I've been using it for over a month on my Mix 2. I wish you guys still had the crazy ui you did back many years ago on Paranoid Android where you could make your status bar be on bottom and all. That was some super bad ass development! I'm really glad that PA came back though and that you guys do things differently still in some ways. :good:

LTE build could be possible, however I don't own that variant and would need somebody to test builds before releasing.
disregard

LuisROM is fork of crDroid. This is pure one. I use crDroid for long time so I have no reason to try other ROMs.
I would very much like to see an official crDroid 7.x for this device.
The simple fact of the matter is this - LineageOS and crDroid are head and shoulders above everything else for stability. And that holds on virtually every device, from what I can see.
Stability is the number 1 thing. I do not give a toss about fancy gimmicks and fanboyism.
All the complaints about "my wifi keeps rebooting the device" and so on, are all utter **** from beginning to end. The people who post these things are clueless buffoons, and their posts are just pollution.
My 3 current devices are all LineageOS 17.1 - Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T, Oneplus 5T, Samsung Galaxy Tab s5e - but they could equally well be crDroid - except of course, there is no official crDroid for the Samsung.
Yet.
How can I improve the quality of the microphone?
New build is up.
crDroid 7.4

NOTE: Format data required if you installed Magisk, otherwise you risk bootloop! There seems to be issues with Magisk, so not recommended to use.

Excellent news. Now all 3 of my devices have both LineageOS and crDroid official ROMs available.
Thank you for commiting to the S5e. I will post once I try out this exciting new release.
So here is my first impressions of this ROM.
First of all it is pretty good, and all features seem to be present.
The only niggling doubt I have is that the permissions for apps seem to be slightly bizarre. There are entries for each app relating to sensors permissions. I have never seen that on other ROMs, and I don't like new things that may be erroneous.
Notwithstanding that, it is a very decent effort, and the dev deserves great credit.

Works with my 2 Shields TV
i just installed this, coming from LouisRom, but still followed "first time installation" instructions. it boots to android, but then is a black screen with a notification bar, and keeps popping up "Android setup keeps stopping"
Think im gonna retry, format data again etc, see if that helps...
I have installed this as well immediately upon notice. The weird thing for me is that the accelerometer seems to be not transmitting anything, so the screen rotation doesn't work. Does anyone have the same symptom?
Edit: Seems just a single time problem. A reboot with all rotate switches on and horizontal position seemed to have fixed the issue. No worries.
2nd Edit: There seems to be a bug for landscape view that all the apps on the home screen has lost their labels. Portrait view has no problem. Picture attached.
Also, it seems that the volume buttons in landscape orientation have been reversed, which I am not sure if it's done intentionally or not.

I don't have it installed now but the volume buttons should be in settings under buttons > keyboard cursor control. Look at launcher settings for labels in landscape, although they may not be available.
New build is up.

Project Sakura is a custom ROM based on Lineage OS, It tries to remain true to it while also providing some more functionality and UI changes. Its sole purpose is to provide a platform which is powered by Lineage and is more customisable than Lineage.

FOD will glitch if you set Gesture Navigation Bar (scroll down for more info)
A huge thanks to @firebird11, @MajorP93 and @KakatkarAkshay for the device tree and still keep maintaining it. The device tree will mostly follow @firebird11 's crDroid 7.x changes so if you like this ROM please say thanks to him.
ROM OS Version: Android 11
ROM Kernel: Linux 4.x
Based On: Lineage OS 18.1
For Gapps, check out @MajorP93 LineageOS microG post and scroll down to HOW TO GET GAPPS IN THE VANILLA VERSION OF THIS ROM part to flash OpenGapps alongside with the ROM

You care a lot about privacy and security? You want an up to date LineageOS build that will not hold you back in regards of user experience? Then LineageOS 20 microG edition is right for you! (Non-microG vanilla LineageOS version also available)...

For microG, you can install Magisk and then install microG Installer Revived module. But if you want to use Play Store instead of FakeStore like me who use it for Poweramp activation, read this post by los-legacy to flash the NanoDroid Play Store package + microG Installer Revived using OrangeFox Recovery. Note that you can flash the latest version of microG Installer Revived instead of the one in the post.

The initial release of this vanilla ROM contain Lawnchair Launcher version 11.0 Alpha 6.1 instead of Trebuchet and Bromite SystemWebView instead of Chromium Webview. Official maintain is planning. But in the meantime, please enjoy this beautiful ROM .

Great to see another unique addition to the Nord community . Thank you !
I just found out that if you use Gesture Navigation it will cause FOD to glitch. To fix this issue you have to hide the Gesture Bar on the length part like picture 1 or else use other navigation, FOD will work fine again.
So to developers or maintainer for this phone, if anyone told that FOD doesn't work on your ROM please check whether they are using Gesture Navigation or not. (except ROMs that have a thin bar like Lineage, that ROM bar is so thin that it doesn't affect FOD at all)
Ladies and gentleman, I applied for maintainership and now we can download OFFICIAL builds

Well if you flash a custom kernel then yea it will work
However, I am planning to switch kernel in the next October patch that merged latest CAF tag by myself
October patches is here and time for a new update
Here's the changelog today :
- Merged latest October patch
- Using new source built kernel with some changes like :
+ DT2W
+ NFC fixed
+ Latest kona/11.0.0 CAF tag merged (LA.UM.9.12.r1-13200-SMxx50.0)
+ Updated simple_lmk
+ Wireguard
+ Westwood TCP Congestion, BBR is the 2nd choice.
+ Compile with crDroid clang 12.0.7 + LTO + Polly optimization.
- Fixed choosing refresh rate (both min/max) not showing up.
- Lineage's Gallery got replaced with OneplusGallery (preparing to port OneplusCamera soon)
- z-order FOD combining with the new source-built kernel fixed a lot of problem relate to FOD.
- Fixed WARP Charging not visible.
This update mark a major milestone with lots of new changes so I don't think that we are ready for OTA yet, but you can still dirty flash if you want. So go to Project Sakura now to grab the latest zip, have fun
(Note : there is a gappscore version in avicii folder, but don't flash it. PS team currently still encouraging to maintain only 1 variant so I choose vanilla. You won't get any new updates if you flash that version so again DO NOT FLASH GAPPSCORE BUILD)
Sorry for a long inactive time, but I'm back with January 2022 update
This time we will switch to @firebird11 device tree, based on what he did in crDroid. A lot of thanks to him because not only the tree is good, but also it provide a very cool thing : Oneplus Camera. Yes you heard it right, OOS Camera is here in the ROM, there are some feature is lacking or even unable to use unless SELinux is set to permissive but it's here.
The rest of the changes are nothing much, there's Dolby Audio but I tried to use it with my DAC but I don't like it, you can try them if you want.
Anyway, here's the changelog :
- Merged January patch
- Migrating to @firebird11 crDroid device tree, which include :
+ Dimension update
+ Oneplus Settings tab
+ Dolby Audio
+ Oneplus Camera (partially working)
+ 5G Mode Switcher
- Firmware update to OOS 11.1.7.7
- Latest kona/11.0.0 CAF tag merged (LA.UM.9.12.r1-13800-SMxx50.0)
Also in this build, I cherry-pick a commit on system/core to fix f2fs degradation thanks to this tweet by arter97. The commit has been merged into PS main source and we are the first device to have it
And due to the fact that a lot of people can't install Gapps on this ROM, I still compile Gapps-Core version alongside with Vanilla, but remember, I won't make OTA for that version, only Vanilla
