Hello, this phone is still super expensive but I found a seller on eBay who has the EU version and I was told this version comes with google play store preloaded. I don’t have the model number yet but I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the UK version before I decided to buy. Is this phone even still worth getting in 2021?
I have the EU version and it definitely does NOT come with Google services preloaded.
It is quite cumbersome to install them (almost) properly but it is doable to an extent...

I want to buy this phone, and I love this black-copper design. However there's a problem, because shops sell this colour version only in 3/32 setup. All 4/64 versions are either non-available or redirecting me to 3/32 version. Does anybody know why is it happening? There's a similiar situation with Nokia 3.1 Plus, black-copper is available only in the worse version.

This is probably due to Production issues with the black/copper mode. I Bought the phone 1 year ago and they told the Black/Copper version is only available in 3/32 version whereas the White Version is only available in 4/64.
Probably Nokia trying to do some cost cutting, if you still want the Black Version, i would recommend you wait for the new 6.2 in black as That has better specs for about the same price.

I have doubts on buying a S20, which is on retail demo mode. I know only, that the phone is UK version. Is it possible to repair its IMEI, so that it can be updated after that or there is no chance? I asked a few guys, who have posted videos on YouTube, offering that service, but only two of them answered, and said, that the phone can not be updated after that, if it is European version and that banking apps can not be used on it anymore. Is it true?
Just one told me he can do it possible for update. The CPU is Exynos. The price is 220USD. Is this the only solution?

Usually demo units dont have hardware to even capture signal, so unless you need one for spare parts i wouldnt bother

Don't buy. It's mostly stolen regardless what the seller say.
Why I say so, s20 is too new in the market for retail shops to want to sell off their demo unit.
So don't even buy it. You'll be supporting a thief.

Yeah, you are probably right, he claims it has baseband and only the IMEI needs replacement. It is not worth the money either, he wants 360GBP for it, repairing Exynos costs another 220USD and at the end it's stolen, it's Exynos and is more expensive than second hand not stolen.
I don't know only how they bring them to retail mode, ruining the real IMEI, to make them non trackable.

This phone interests me, Its on the Samsung UK site at £329 but thats all I can find in the UK. Its a UK model so obviously released in the UK yet no one is selling it anywhere, Its actually £100 cheaper than the A71. Even Sammobile has no firmare for it M515F which is the European version shows no firmware. Kinda weird, its like it exists yes but no one knows it exists apart from Samsung and its actually a bargain compared to A51 and A71
Let me know of you find it! I am also looking at this phone as an option but seems to be only available in Germany and in India. I am Colombia so not sure if it will ever go on sale here

I'm looking at buying a refurb SM-R800 as there at a good price in Australia atm.
Problem I have is all refurb sites are saying this
"Note: May not be compatible with Samsung Pay in AU/NZ due to global stock variation."
Now, if I buy one how can I get the NFC banking feature to work if it comes from say Europe to Australia.
Is it a region code software error or is it hardware related?

I cannot find IQoo 9 Pro to be available for sale in UK or US with Funtouch OS. Any site that sells it to UK or US (like AliExpress) is only selling the Origin OS Version, is there any way I can get my hands on the funtouch OS version?
If I buy the Origin OS version, can I then root it and install Funtouch OS on top of it?

mine is Origin and I bought it on Aliexpress.
I wouldn't recomment Origin OS.

What exactly is wrong with Origin OS? Does it pass safety net? Are you able to use Google pay with it?
The main drawbacks I have heard was that Android Auto doesn't work, but I have never used Android Auto, so that is not an issue for me.
So ... A lot of things are annoying :
- tons of china apps (some can be removed using abd, many can't be)
- no google assistant voice control. Annoying when you drive and wanna make a call or send a text
- can't force change the SMS and phone app.
- Whatsapp selfies don't work.
- can't google back up your phone.
- and as you know android auto
And tons more i don't recall.

Yes you can install Google Play.

"Google Pay" not Google Play, Pay is what you use to pay using NFC with your saved credit cards from your phone.
I believe Safety net is required for Google Pay to work, so they are both interlinked.

It looks like there is no way to buy the Funtouch OS version in UK or US, so I would have to buy the Origin OS version.
If you really truly want this phone. I am happy with it tbh ... but the amount of chinese stuff on it that cant be ADB removed and some missing core Android functions are a killer.
I do use Android Auto daily and i have to use my old S8+ tethering via BT with my IQ 9P to be able to get navigation. Its so annoying !
