Themes / Apps / Mods [F62][Antutu] They Promised I Delivered , Antutu 509760 - Samsung Galaxy F62 / M62

I recently got a F62 for my mom, After using it for hours realized that it's a bit laggy. Thought of debloating it so that can remove the junk of Samsung apps it comes preloaded with. I used this to debloat after than viewed some names with package name viewer app and removed a bunch of packages.
After that thought to get it benchmark and to my utter surprise I got a score of 509760.
Note:- I think the debloating is a bit on the extreme side so before debloating take the backup of apps you debloat because for me this was a necessary step but if you need more features don't go for debloating.

Would u kindly be able to mention the Samsung apps which are actually safe to remove and which aren't to be messed with for the debloating?

I tried this but failed to run the command to run the debloat file. Did you do this on windows or Linux.if it was windows do explain how you ran your commans on cmd

Please advise what did you remove

OK get the latest universal debloater from gitlab

After that remove everything in the debloat list like gfam (google....) etc. Remember one thing you might have to reinstall google contact sync which you can get from apkmirror. After that install a app like package name viewer which will show you package name of all apps that exist. And remove the apps that you don't need and was not removed by universal debloater. And you are golden. I can't share you a list coz I didn't make one I just experimented and bit and was when successful tested the Antutu which got significantly boosted maybe due to remove game services. You can also look up package names on xda to see if they are safe to remove or not.

Try to look some up on XDA I think you will find a list from some oneui 3 devices because most oneui apps are same try to look something up like s21, s10 or something.

[Q] Titanium Backup Integrate Feature

I RAN A BATCH OF THE INTEGRATE FEATURE AND ALL WENT SMOOTH. I SAVED AROUND 60+ MB OF APP SYSTEM SPACE RIGHT OFF THE BAT. ONE ISSUE I'M HAVING, IS A FORCE CLOSE ISSUE. WITH "Qik" IN PARTICULAR. I HAVE LOOKED THIS ISSUE UP AND HAVE READ SIMILAR THREADS REGARDING THE INTEGRATE FEATURE AND FORCE CLOSES THAT OCCUR DUE TO THIS. I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE "Qik" APP PRE-INSTALLED IS NAMED SOMETHING LIKE "SPRINTQIK......." AND THE UPDATE FROM THE MARKET IS "COM.QIK....." I AM THINKING THAT THIS IS WHAT IS CAUSING THE ISSUE, BUT I AM UNSURE. DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW I COULD GET THE NEWEST QIK APP ADDED TO MY ROM WITHOUT ANY ISSUE?
THANKS IN ADVANCE!

To be honest, the EVO has a ton of space for /system and there's not much reason to "save" space with the integrate feature. But as for your problem, try integrating it yourself by decompressing the ZIP, copying over the APK, re-ZIPping, then sign.
Hell, a pastebin'd logcat of the FC would probably be useful.

lol ive typed all caps before and the forum automatically formatted it for me. Anyways, i understand that the evo has enough memory, but the more free memory is always better. how do i get a log cat. (please dont say adb, i have no experience lol.)

Yes, adb. What makes you think more free is even better?? If you have all the apps you want and used installed and still have free space, there shouldnt be a problem.

Having more free space isn't "better", there's no good or bad thing about it unless you screw with the partitioning and allocate more space to say, /cache and /data. And yes, you have to use adb to get the logcat. Just download the Android SDK installer (yes, there's an installer now), open a command prompt, cd to the platform-tools folder wherever it installed (something like "C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools" iirc), then run "adb logcat > %userprofile%\Desktop\logcat.txt" to output the log to your desktop.

Tip for making android 4.3 a lot faster on our devices

Assuming you don't have a nexus and the 4.3 update is not officially disponible for your smartphone, (so you must have a cRom and a cKernel) this can be done
It's not something difficult, and this is not my work and can be discovered simply by googling a bit..so this is intended for newbies that entered in the android recently..
First of all do a nandroid backup, always do it, you will save a lot of time and a lot of cash
Download this to your sdcard
CrossBreeder installer
CrossBreeder uninstaller
Just flash from CWM recovery the installer, if something goes wrong flash the uninstaller...otherwise you will have to restore the nandroid backup that you HAVE made..
Credits goes to the creators of the mods i linked
Wrong thread title my friend . It will not make android faster, it will give higher scores in dumbtests. Android 4.3 has only one issue, choppy browser scrolling. And crossbreeder can't do anything about it. About the benchmarks results, well, if you measure performance by that, go ahead.flash useless things.

If you have a custom kernel like this one ( here ) you will be able to edit MPDecision and FSYNC options...you have to turn of both, then try again the benchmark...i got an incredible score after a reboot of the phone and i saw everything getting a lot smoother and faster!
The guide is ended, if this seems to be copied by someone else just answer to this thread and i will delete it quickly. i'm not responsible of bricks and everything else but i will try to support problems if i'm able to

Turning off FSYNC is dangerous, it can lead to data corruption.
yeah, but hey, you'll get high scores in benchmarks...who cares you may end up with a softbrick?)
Why a softbrick? It's been disabled since I use it, no problems at all
Anyway I'd this is the risk I can delete it...just tell me to do it and I'll do it
Ps

This may appear in time, android has a way of write/overwrite files. You basically disable that fail-safe trigger, gaining some boost.you may never have an issue or it could break right now. it's like a lottery. your phone, your choice.
if you think gaining some points in benchmarks are worthed, then it's ok.
i decided to follow your tips, so i deleted everything concerning fsync i'm sorry, but i can't delete the whole thread...anyway the mod i posted really makes android smoother and highers the entropy available for the system...

Missing Apps?

Certain apps are missing from my phone I first noticed this with Lookout the app is present because I get notifications but it is no where to be found in my app list. Also did they do away with the basic calculator from the aps list in the N900T? I know there are plenty of other calculators but just odd that this is missing also? Not sure yet what else is gone.
Did you look in the Samsung folder in the app list?

Ok there is a few things in there but still many apps missing. Like Lookout and several tmobile apps as well as many others factory installed apps after a factory rest I only have 24 aps showing on a single app page but I can find the apps in other places and like I said even though Lookout isn't showing up in the app list/grid it is still running.
btw the calculator was in the sam folder.
I know its something Ive done just hoping there is a way to reverse it. I was rooted via the Root_de_Vega method and all went well I had started to try and flash JediElite rom with twrp but never could get it to take and after reading a bit more decided that ID keep my KNOX 0X0 and just used some Xposed and some themes but somewhere along the line I did something to cause the loose of viewable apps on the grid/list.
Im not sure when it happened during which process I was trying. I thought I was sailng along ... rooted...customs themes and then bam.
I flashed back to stock through ODIN and they still did not reappear..So I have since rerooted via the same method and am rooted again hoping this might help me locate what I have don't to hide these apps.
I had started the process of the 5x5 SecLauncher but I think this had happened before that.
Im guessing it was my failed attempt to load up the Jedi ROM as it started partially through but I could never get it to work I was thinking maybe I had only gained limited root access with the Root_de_la_Vega ? Has anyone been able to flash ROMS after rooting this method? Wasn't sure if I needed to us CF method if I planned on ROMs?
Shouldn't a flash of stock with ODIN replace any app (even bloatware) if JEDI ROM had deleted them? And as I said they seem to still be there just hidden....
Sound dumb, Ive spent several hours over sevreral days trying to learn how to do this. Like I said Im sure if probably a simple fix
.
OK never mind ... Ive figured out whats going on. Sorry to have sounded like a total noob.
Sometimes just cant see the forest for the trees lol
Thx krelvinaz for the Reply before
So I guess AllShare was replaced by Samsung Link...

Yes please! So many Asus apps I want to get off this thing.
Sent from my ASUS_Z008D using XDA Free mobile app
Root, then get the app Titanium Backup, and freeze/uninstall any system apps you don't want. I'd suggest freezing them rather than uninstalling.
You can root and delete/backup the apks or use the package manager to disable as appropriate:
To list enabled packages containing 'asus':
# pm list packages -e | grep asus
To disable:
# pm disable com.asus.zencircle
To list disabled packages:
# pm list packages -d
If **** hits the fan, just enable the package again.
This method prevents the app from running but allows you to revert if need be.
Disabling/freezing is safer than deleting these system apps plus you can still take OTAs with disabled apps whereas missing system apps can fail an update.

did it in the old fashion way.... deleted all the buggers.
how can i do it? i want to del so many apps or disable them
I ended up using a pre rooted image here and disabling the apps themselves. I'm still trying out the Asus apps to see how I like them (memo etc.). Typical usage after doing this is around 1-1.5GB of ram which is fine as I have 4GB. If I had 2GB I think I would be much more aggressive in removing any and all bloat.

I use rom toolbox pro to freeze apps if not used (youtube and other apps if not neded24/7) , then you can disable on boot so no update failure and system memory free and preserve bandwith, no icons apps and easy to restore if you wanna back bloatweare like google maps, dr safety and all asus apps. Also you can use it to uninstal system apps. Not tested yet if rom backup work, but i will test it soon 'cuz facing with 2 softbrick after OTA update (first was at first phone use with not rooted image thanks to "clean master" issue, second forget to disable root on supersu pro).

ADB App Control is a tool for debloating anything you want. I have created a preset for this tool that you can use to debloat apps. It is a tested list so there is no chance of bootloop or any other problem. You can still recover any debloated app easily with this tool. It is easy to use so there is no need to write instructions here, I am just sharing the debloat preset file here.
Hmm,Good work

@ElitePotato Thanks for the list.
P.S: And a small thank you to the owner of the app would not be too much

Yes it removes them through adb. It works on all variants. The txt file shows LE2123 because I used that tool on LE2123.
Potato
Can you pick and choose from the list while using the app? Or is this a batch run type of thing, in which everything on the list gets fried, like a potato?

Zen mode can be uninstalled normally. You can debloat any extra apps yourself. Reboot your phone once after debloat if you have any problem.
