LineageOS is a free, community-built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restores the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Reserved 2

Note:
Flashing LineageOS through TWRP is NOT SUPPORTED and NOT ADVISED, do with your own risk. Please use LineageOS Recovery instead.
Right now, Lineage Recovery is really only intended to be used on devices with Seamless Updates (aka A/B partitions) and, in that role, it is only intended to be embedded within the OS's normal Boot image. While flashing TWRP, it replaces boot image's ramdisk (possible security risks, coz it runs SeLinux permissive on recovery). That's why it's not recommend to use with A/B devices.

Well I wasn't expecting this so fast, well done OP! This is big news for is Alioth users!

Finally my favourite rom, tks for your work!

Wow ! From Potato to Lineage. Nice work Sahil

Thanks, will try soon.

Still using your builds on moto g3, Lineage runs solid, no fuss

I keep getting file not found.

I have tried in many ways but every time I install Magisk and patch boot.img I get bootloop.
Is any problem with this?

Polishing things, I imagine. It'll be up better next time!

I also end up in a bootloop. I think thats the reason why the link is down.

What exactly was the issue with YouTube ?
There are many reports or various different bugs too... I'm afraid that all you did was fix YouTube while leaving the flaw that caused that in the first place untouched

Is this rom up yet id love to try

I tried latest update didn't find any bug and no lags stability is good but battery backup and the edges near the camera hole and the corners of the screen are not smooth if we watch them really closely they are not smooth and can see different colors.

F.A.Q.
ROOT! ROOT! Give me root or i'll die!!! Where root is???
Root has been removed from LineageOS builds, to allow people who are not interested in root access to enjoy apps such as PokemonGo or banking apps. A zip to re-enable root will be provided here. Other packages such as SuperSu, magisk or others are not supported and may cause problems
Why no nightly this week?
Build failed. Check again in 7 days
When do I have to wipe data?
You must wipe data only when you're switching from another rom or migrating to Snapshot branch from Nightly and vice versa. You don't need to wipe data when you update in the same release channe (this applies to 13.0 -> 14.1 upgrades too)
Will you add <insert awesome feature here>?
I won't. If you write it, submit a commit to gerrit, where it will be reviewed.
The LineageOS team would like to thank everyone involved in helping with testing, coding, debugging & documenting! Enjoy!

I'm happy about that too, I must be honest i'm still on the the stock CyanogenOS and have been enjoying everything (Androd Pay, Banking Apps, Pokemon Go, OTA updates) just working with me not having to mess about.
The only thing i really need root for is to backup / restoring apps with Titanium Backup. When i eventually switch to LineageOS I guess ill have to root it, restore my apps backups, then flash the rom again to remove root.
I've not flashed a rom for almost a year though so, am a bit reluctant to start messing about until things have matured and are stable.

I don't see why certain people aren't. Didn't most people flash and use chainfire's root over the built in system root anyway? Besides, rebranding or not, this isn't CM anymore, and leaving root behind does help it feel...Fresher.

Nope. And I'm not happy at all. I'm waiting for official su from lineage. Until then, I'm not planning to flash any not rooted build.

Downloaded and synchronized, but I have stupid question:
I did .build/envsetup.sh and in lunch menu I can't see chiron to build, what did I wrong?
Em, I think somewhat I missed adding chiron project to my env.... and don't remember how to do it
Is there a specific firmware I need to flash?

Hi,
In the device folder add a file and call it "vendorsetup.sh".
Open it and add this : "add_lunch_combo cm_chiron-userdebug".
Then do a . build/envsetup.sh again... it should now list the Chiron.
Or even more simple : just "brunch chiron" should do it with no lunch, provided you installed schedtools.
Regards.
I've noticed an increase in battery usage.... anyone else noticed it?
edit: wrong

No Volte in settings...Can some one help me...
I tried to install the nightly roms os 6 and 7 June for the Mi note 2 global scorpio on my global Version. I had the latest xiaomi.eu rom weekly updated installed prior to installation. I downloaded both the nightly official roms of the 6th and 7th of June. Formatted the data and wiped the cache and system, followed by a adb sideload of the signed nightly roms. Both versions returned a signature error of the zip file. I had the sha256 verified without error.
Can anybody explain what went wrong.
I am currently back on miui 10 eu rom (latest weekly) through twrp recovery.
Issue is solve. Lineagos does not support zip verification. Zip verification to be turned of in TWRP.
Kind regards, Henk

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 13, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

Same as 19.1.
Nice New Years present, thanks! Just sideloaded it without any hiccups whatsoever and it seems to work perfectly. (Just be patient when it is 47% finished, it takes some time.)
So just to confirm, if I'm on 19.1, I should be able to just sideload lineage 20/gapps/magisk, and I'm good? Don't have to wipe my data, or worse, revert to stock and upgrade stock to whatever their latest version is (I assume an update from android 12 to 13)?
Still going to use Swift Backup to backup as much of my stuff as I can, just in case. Hopefully I won't need it.

Correct. Very smooth upgrade experience without loosing any data on my device.
Can I flash this over latest OOS 13 ? Does it already have firmware. Please don't tell me it is same as LOS 19 because I don't know about LOS 19 instructions.

how can i activate the wifi icon ?

AOD seems a little wonky on Lineage 20 with the full size double-line clock... Like it's offset too low on the screen, so it overlaps with the battery percentage overlay.
Also some apps like FX File Explorer aren't allowed to enable notifications (even though I had never disabled them in 19.1).
Haven't figured out any workarounds yet.
Edit: I've disabled double-line clock for now until the AOD offset gets fixed.
And turns out the disabled notifications issue is an Android 13 issue which some apps are afflicted with, but it can be fixed on the app side, per this MalwareBytes forum thread: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/290668-android-13-blocking-notifications/
someone the same bug with the icons in the status bar ?

Any plans to upgrade Los 20 to oos13 firmware? Or just when los21 will be released?
Is there a reason why devs stay with a12 firmware? Thanks for your work on all op devices.

Cool! How is Magisk working on the latest Android?
Anyone know why you can't sideload Magisk in recovery or even use twrp to install it? It freezes and does nothing? I patched the boot which is a alternative but it's longer that way.
