Question Reaching EDL mode - OnePlus 9 Pro

Think I screwed up some ordering when installing LIneage and now my phone only reaches Fastboot. What's the correct way to reach EDL? The internet says to hold vol up + vol down for 40s then connect to a computer while holding. This seems to consistently boot fastboot for me instead, regardless of what computer I connect my phone to. Otherwise my phone goes to Qualcomm Crashdump mode

I get it to work by turning phone complete off, hold vol up and down, plug phone in and immediately press start. That should do it

Collection of mode entries with hardware key combination (maybe for most LG models)

This thread only introduce hardware methods to enter specific modes, however, if possible, use software method like advanced reboot, adb reboot, magisk reboot, etc. instead for stable entries.
Force reboot: hold both volume- and power keys for 8 seconds (maybe reboot at the 9th second, so hold until the screen changes). This can quit any other mode. Somebody says if you can count time accurately, you can just shutdown the phone instead of rebooting, but I have never succeeded
Normal boot: when your phone is off, hold power key until your phone vibrates (if your phone can boot to system).
Safe mode: during normal booting, when you see the dynamic animation of LG (not static monochromatic logos), hold volume- key until the phone vibrates (you can start holding it even earlier, but make sure holding it until you really enter the safe mode). In this mode, only system apps, default settings and basic functions are enabled. Any reboot quits this mode.
Recovery (stock for master reset or custom twrp): hold volume- and power keys until the initial boot screen of "LG V30" with "powered by Android" displays. (If you have unlocked the bootloader, this screen would display twice, but only the first time is what we are talking about.) Immediately release the power key and hold it again (in other words, pause holding the power button for less than 1 second). Then after the screen changes, release all keys and do further steps according to the instructions displayed.
LG download mode: shutdown your phone first. Hold volume+ key and connect the phone to a working computer via USB. Then the phone should boot to download mode.
Fastboot/Bootloader (if any): similar like the download mode, but use volume- instead of +. However some firmwares may miss this mode. If it works, it should boot to the fastboot interface immediately and you can power off the phone there.
Information screen (I don't know what it's called exactly): shutdown your phone first. Hold all the three of volume+, volume- and power keys, and this will lead you to a screen listing MEID, IMEI and S/N of your phone with corresponding barcodes.
Qualcomm 9008/EDL/QDLoader mode (sometimes even called Qualcomm download mode, but not Android download mode) (mentioned in One way to force shutdown your phone, try this if other modes do not work): connect your phone to a working computer via USB. Hold volume- and power key, around the moment your phone force reboots press volume+ for multiple times (with holding other keys). In device manager on the computer, see if a device named something with "Q" like QUSB_BULK (no proper driver installed) or Qualcomm EDL HS-USB 9008 (proper driver installed) other than anything containing "Android" or "ADB", the phone enters the 9008 mode. If not, unplug the cable and try it again. This can turn off the screen. If you find difficulty to perform it, you can also try other more general methods like test points shortening (see test points lg v30 plus for 9008 mode) or engineering cable (not tested yet).
Yet there is no way to shutdown the phone directly with simple key combination, but you can refer One way to force shutdown your phone to make it if you cannot use regular methods to shut your phone down.

T-Mobile 7T Cannot Enter EDL Mode its Entering to Fastboot Mode Always

I tried ton of time while pressing Vol Up+Down Always T-Mobile 7T entering to Fastboot Menu.
Please someone help me.
Sorry for my English
Thank you
Your phone has to be off for it to go into EDL Mode. turn phone off then try again.
The commands ur using is for fastboot it sounds like.
Follow these steps:
Hold down Volume Up + Volume Down buttons for few seconds and plug in the USB cable, which is already attached to the computer from another side. Keep pressing until you see EDL mode. (Note: Make sure you have USB connected in PC before connecting it to the smartphone while pressing both the buttons.)

Relock Bootloader

Trying to relock boot loader. Have flashed stock and OEM is live but greyed out. Have tried to get back to bootloader screen as per rooting instructions, hold down both volume up and down buttons, hold down power and plug in USB, just goes into start boot loop not getting past the first powered by android screen.
Can boot into download mode but no options there, tried holding the up volume button but nothing happened, tried both up vol and power, nothing, tried both up and down vol, nothing and of course do power and down vol and reboots phone.
Tried vol down, hold power button and USB cable and boot power up loop again.
Tried ADB but phone is not recognised when connected to computer and in download mode, works with Odin so not sure why not with ADB.
Any idea's on how to get to bootloader screen so I can relock?

Question Why wont my S22 go into Download mode or recovery mode?

So I have spent hours now looking around for an answer the phone is find my phone locked and I can't remember my pin code. I have done all the tricks with the combination keys.
The usual way to get into Recovery mode is Hold V+ and power until the phone vibrates and you should be in recovery mode release the keys. (Doesn't work)
Iv read that you should have the USB cable connected from pc/laptop while you do the same holding V+ and power button... (doesn't work ether)
and download mode should be very easy just hold V+ and V- plug USB cable from pc/laptop and you should get into download mode by pressing V+. Will only show charging Icon and that's its.
So is it possible to turn off this modes from the manufactor? Or is this a completely new security future? How can you use odin? How can you wipe the cache? If you end up having some issues.
Im going nuts....
No way to get into fastboot ether. So if anyone know why this is happening to me or got any solution I would appreciate it.
Plug in your cable with the phone turned on. Hit Power Off and wait for the phone to fully turn off. The charging logo will show up so let the animation do its thing. After maybe 20 seconds, press Volume up + Power and keep them pressed until you boot to recovery. If the command wasn't recorded in the first place and the phone is still off after more than 15 seconds, let go of the buttons and press them again and keep them pressed until it boots in Recovery

This is so strange even paying for a frp reset but not even he does know what wrong??? Can they turn off fastboot, recovery mode and Download mode on this new phones? Is it because its locked with find my phone? 1 week researching now. It will only vibrate. And my PC cant find my phone anymore worked fine 30min ago nothing has changed... So annoying never seen this happened before every combination with buttons to get in any mode doesn't work only vibrates and go to pin lock screen...
Take it to a Samsung Experience center at best buy. Or send it into Samsung for repair.

thats a solid advice assuming his bootloader/recovery/download mode is fully functional then this advice works, in his case and in mine too it does not work and trying to get to the root of the problem is the key. In my case recovery mode gives error on screen so it may have to do with the way firmware is installed as these modes are not accessible.
have you sorted it out? Its nearly a year onwards =)

This, at index 2:48 minutes.
It needs to be connected to the PC. Another screwy quirk Samsung added recently. Your button timing/sequence matters as well.
On my N10+'s you can go into recovery directly with a restart if you do it right. Otherwise they will puke on you.

Bricked lg g820UM

I've bricked my g8 a long time ago.
If i recall correctly, custom rom caused it to bootloop.
And i accidentally wipe all of the partitions.
Could anyone share a copy from their phone?
Also it doesn't react to pc anymore, drivers doesn't help too.
Well...com6 appears for a few sec when booting, but quickly disappears.
I am not sure if i forgot how to enter edl mode.
But if not that's not working as well.
neither is download mode.
Any ideas?
Sorry, no backup to share, but a couple of suggestions...
1. Recovery from a brick, including a scenario with totally wiped out partitions - this should guide you step by step through the process:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/tutorial-rescue-from-hard-brick.4351389/
2. EDL mode (saved if from one of the guides a while ago, both options worked for me):
Hold Vol- and Power together, when the phone screen turns off to restart begin quickly pressing the Vol+ but keep holding Vol- and Power.
Here is a youtube video of how to boot to EDL:
Alternatively, with phone off, plug in usb cable and wait for the charging symbol to start flashing, then hold Power and Vol- together and start tapping Vol+. Sometimes it's easier that way.
