Question OnePlus 9 Pro LE2123 - Wireless Charging no longer works - OnePlus 9 Pro

Discovered my 9 Pro's wireless charging no longer works at all, tested on my belkin 10w charger, and my in car qi charger with nothing at all, tested the chargers with a galaxy s8 and works fine.
Has anyone else had an issue like this and has a possible fix? i live in Australia and had to buy this from overseas so returning it will be a pain.

Try

Try with OnePlus wireless charger and report back, since all of those are lower watt that's theirs

Unfortunately it's pretty hard to get in Australia so i don't think i'll be able to try that.
Worked from April when i got it until last night/this morning though on my Belkin 10W BOOST↑CHARGE (and my Kia in car charger), haven't had any new updates in that time either.

Yep tried to reboot and adjust charging settings not that there are many, reverse charge doesn't seem to work either, tried on two other devices and they wouldn't even detect a wireless charge signal.
Phone is stock.
I've contacted OnePlus directly, those chargers are over $100 AUD and wont be delivered for weeks so i'll see what they say before i commit, i'll have to also get an appropriate wall charger or good conversion plug too because the one that came with the phone is type G plug for UK.

I would try downloading oxygen updater from the play store. Download the full update zip from it for your device. Go to settings system updates. Then touch 3 dot menu button select local update then pick the one you downloaded. Let it do its thing and reboot. This will not make you lose data

Not solved.

Problem resolved, ended up fully resetting my phone which fixed it, oneplus couldn't tell me how it could have been caused.

Funny that. I have had similar things from earlier OnePlus phones, where funky erroneous behaviors were only solvable by either a full reset or a full reflash. I guess they still have "issues" in that regard.
My own OP9PRO arrives in a couple of weeks.

Besides this random little issue i've had no problem with the phone and am super happy with it in every aspect... except for no headphone jack, coming from LG was otherwise a smooth transition and a very similar feeling phone all 'round.

Yeah it was downloaded to there by default but it couldn't be found still, i moved it to a few other directories but it would never find it.
All good now though, thanks for your help.

Is there any reason this car charger wouldn't work?

This OEM Motorola micro-USB charger is supposedly rated 4.75-5.25V 950mA. Is there any reason it wouldn't work for the Vibrant for a high-draw situation (in-car display-on with navigation)?

Should work. Some posters say that 1amp is not enough for in car nav and charging. They recommend getting the dealextreme 2amp blackberry charger.

I use that one - it works. It couldn't keep up with wardrive last night though - drained 3% during a 20 minute drive. Haven't checked the charge current yet, maybe it's not pinned out properly for high-rate charging.

Two meanings -- the app I was using, wardrive and the actual activity -- driving around, logging wifi access points with GPS. Very battery intensive, with the constant GPS updates and wifi scans. Here's the outcome -- https://wigle.net/gps/gps/Map/onlinemap2/
Anyway, probably a good comparison to running Nav and maybe some music at the same time.

Got it, thanks. So you're saying a 950 mA isn't enough.. hmm. I have a power inverter, which has a 5V USB output providing 1A. Wonder if that would be a little better.
I was going to recommend this charger, since when using nav and music at the same time, my battery pretty much stayed the same or gained a few percentage, but now I wouldn't recommend it at all since it started burning today. Just my opinion.
I'm gonna buy this charger from Amazon. It's basically the same one you posted, but from Amazon themselves. Since I got prime membership, might as well buy from them and have a piece of mind sine they got good customer service. Oh, there was one reviewer that had this charger with the Vibrant and said it was good, so yeah.

I was going to ask the same thing. Not encouraging for me, since I have that charger too... Bought from Amazon of course, but unless the ebay auction was for a fake then it doesn't really matter where it came from.
Anyway, it seems like a decent inexpensive charger to me. I'll have to try nav alone on it next time -- wardriving is very battery intensive, so not really a fair test.

Regardless of what these charges are rated, my guess is the phone will pull around 800mA. 1.1A if the phone thinks it's a wall charger.
Open the file /sys/class/power_supply/battery/batt_chg_current with Astro or some other file manager and you'll see the current being pulled.
In the same location, the file charging_source gives the following values:
0 - no power source
1 - usb power source (with limited current per batt_chg_current)
2 - wall power source with higher current in batt_chg_current)
The car chargers I've tried are recognized as USB sources only. Even when taping off the data pins and plugging into a USB port on a computer the phone will still recognize the source as USB. Which means the charge rate is lower, regardless of the charger's rating.

I've got two noname QI chargers, which worked with a Nexus 4, Galaxy S4 and Nexus 5, but don't seemt to work with the LG G3. Really annoying. It starts charging for 3 seconds, then stops and starts again. Also the G3 is really picky on how you place it on the charger. If its off by half a centimeter it complains and tells you to center it correctly.
The best one I've used, and the one my phone is on right now, is the Tylt Vu.

As far as I can tell, there is no way* to place it on the stand and not have wireless charging working properly.
* within reason

$70 or $100 on Amazon.... both a bit more than I'd like to pay.
I bought an "Expower(R) QI" of Amazon, arrived yesterday, sent back today. Same problems as other people mentioned above.
I also bought an "DiGiYes® 360 Qi" car charger, this works great, no problems with positioning at all. It does say on the box that it's an uprated 3 coil version, so I'm wondering if that's what you need to get to work with the G3, and that single coil Qi charges will be a waste of time.
I have this 3 Coil wireless charging pad bought from ebay and I can't charge the G3. I get the start charging loop. It's working well with Nexus 7 and my former Note 3. I really wonder if LG WCP-300 can charge the G3.
http://www.lg.com/us/cell-phone-accessories/lg-WCP-300-wireless-charging-pad
I have the LG WCP-300. Encountered disconnects and constant notification to "place phone in charging zone" messages.
I've tried the official samsung Galaxy s4 one and it doesn't work.
Got this two days ago, works fine.

On offer on amazon uk:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00KD6HTAK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
One thing though if you want your phone to charge when vertically tilted, you will need to raise the base by about 20 mm
I don't want to make a new thread, but can anyone recommend a good wireless charging pad that can charge the g3 and eventually moto360 simultaneously?
Aren't they all the same like an universal chargers?
Or some models have more ampere and charge faster?

Impossible to know.
I got the following:
http://list.qoo10.sg/item/QI-WIRELESS-CHARGING-PAD-RECEIVER/413308734
the A6 model which I believe is a copy of the Tylt Vu and it works flawlessly. It charges the phone vertically or horizontally even with my Spigen Slim Armour case on. Never had issues with phone placement as well since the design of the charger ensures you get it right.
http://www.ravpower.com/ravpower-qi...mah-capacity-power-bank-white-us-version.html
Got this, nice with an integrated battery , is large but less then G3, I ordered in amazon the base model without battery but they sent me this one, then good price!
Charging is slower then original cabled ( output 1 A )
I have the Nokia DT 910 and the LG WCP-300 charging pad. The LG pad charges the device but triggers this weird "place device in center" message (see other threads). The Nokia DT 910 (and guess all Nokia chargers) don't trigger that message and charges the g3 nicely (but slowly, I believe it's 0.7 A)
Has anyone in the US tried this one? amazon |.| com/Aukey-Wireless-Charging-Qi-Enabled-Blackberry/dp/B00JW9S3KE/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1405001468&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=Aukey%C2%AE+Swiveling+Wireless+Qi+Power+Charger+Pad (sorry, not enough posts to have links)
Also, amateur hour question here, but what else would I need to purchase for the wireless charging to work on my AT&T LG g3?

This one, it was basically the cheapest one I could find June 2014. Once the phone is charged you can see the light cycle on and off just maintaining 100%. Works fine for a bunch of devices and I don't notice if it's slow as it has 8 hours to charge when I sleep.
CHOE UPGRADED Qi Wireless Charger Charging Pad https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DRBFMZM/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_WNViwbW7EJTDK
I purchased this plastic replacement back that came with a qi sticker. I used it mainly with this CHOE 3 coil charger, but also tried it on this Yootech one, and this one as well. On all three chargers, the phone got super hot while charging. So much so that at one point my phone even froze up and I had to pull the battery. It may have been the qi sticker that came with the back I bought, but I stopped wireless charging after about a week, because I just didn't like how hot it got.
I'm thinking of picking up another qi sticker, but just can't decide which one is the best.
I'm using the official LG qi charger and the quickcircle cover with qi built in. All working but i find plugging in faster so basically just end up using that instead..

I've found that exact placement on the charger can affect the charging temperature dramatically. I think if the sticker is a little ways off from the center of the qi charger (wherever that is, not sure how that is determined on the 3 coil), it heats up a lot more.

Yeah I tried my best to make sure it was right in the center, but it seems no matter where I placed it it would get hot. Plus what's the benefit of having a 3 coil charger if I have to place it in exactly the right spot? I think there is definitely something wrong with the qi sticker I'm using. If not, many others would be having similar issues. I'm using fairly widely used chargers.

I never felt comfortable using the Qi charging after hearing the noise my phone made when I set it on the charger. I have multiple brands of chargers and all produce the same noise from the phone's speakers (youtube link below). I've tried with cases and without cases on all my chargers.
Here are my qi chargers:
1. Itian Qi Standard Wireless Charger
2. Axiong Qi Wireless 3-Coils Stand Charging Pad Stand Dock Wireless Charger for Qi Phones
3. Tmvel T2 Wireless Charger Charging Mount Cradle Stand for all Qi Phones, with Wide Charging Area for LG G3, Nexus 5, Nexus 4,Nokia Lumia 920, MOTO Dro
4. Tmvel Qi Wireless Car Charger Dock for Qi-Enabled Devices
5. Nillkin Energy Stone For Nokia Lumia 920 1520 Lg Google Nexus 4 5 LG G2 HTC 8x DNA Simple Fashion Wireless Qi Power Charger Charging Pad + Leevin® NF

7. Ruix Wireless Charger -Qi Enabled Charger - White

So an impressive 50% of folks on the poll at this time have had it crap out.
Wonder if the V10 will have this issue too? I'd consider switching to that, but the G4 is big enough already for me.
1. Works as expected
2. Have it for a week now
3. PowerBot

Wireless charging was removed from dual sims because the circuitry for wireless charging is replaced by that of the second sim.

2. I only use the wireless charger at work and I started noticing issues after the 12th work day. Today is the 13th day and it is no longer working at all. The T-Mobile store can put in for a warranty exchange, if you initially bought it with them. But then you get a refurb. It's $20. Alternatively, you could send it in for a factory warranty, but it'll be out for several weeks. And then after you get it back, the wireless charging will break down after a week or two. Ridiculous, right?
I think it's endemic with our H811 model. I wish this could be as big as Antennaegate, forcing LG to admit their poor design+engineering, but there aren't enough users to raise a stir.

I just had an online chat session with LG Support and since they only officially brand their Qi case for Verizon phones they are telling me that the T-Mobile model is not compatible with wireless charging and there's nothing they can do. I got this phone off CL so going to T-Mobile is going to be difficult. I purchased the LG G4 back on release day day but returned it so I was going to use that receipt with LG Support but it looks like that's a dead end.
Another question you should ask in this thread is which model people are using since this is a general G4 forum and not carrier specific. It does look like this happens with Verizon phones too though: http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-g4/help/wireless-charging-stopped-t3226231
Thankfully the battery life is good enough on this phone where I can probably live without the wireless charging at work. To be honest It was more of a must have when I had the S6 since there was no way I could make it through the workday without leaving it on the charger.
Wow, really? The function that works (at least initially) because all the hardware is there, on T-Mob, is "not supported?" That sounds like LG support has their heads up their butts, just like the QA department on the wifi charging.
I'll add the question of what version G4 do you have on the questionnaire. Can't edit the poll anymore though I wish I could.
1. Locked up during the night, multiple times a week.
2. Randomly started working perfectly for 3 months. Replaced phone. Worked for about 1.5 months. Now stops charging and locks up during the night again.
3. Nokia puck + Samsung + several chinese ebay units
4. Absolutely no idea why it magically fixed itself and now magically broken.
5. Verizon G4

1. Did you ever get it to work to your satisfaction? If not, what was not satisfactory about it?
Yes, but not for more than a couple weeks at a time.
2. How long did it last? Or how long have you had it working?
About 2 weeks, sent in for RMA, came back not fixed, sent back, worked for a little over a week, stopped today.
3. What qi charger do/did you use?
LG Quick Circle case purchased from Verizon, 2 tylt vus, one samsung puck.
4. If it broke down, what happened and did you ever get it working again?
No idea what caused it to stop working -- today it stopped somewhere between work and home.
First time, mailing it in twice helped.
5. What model of G4 and/or carrier do you have?
Verizon
Also, there's a quick poll associated in this thread.
Using a Yootech sticker with a Yootech puck. Both work well. I originally had a sticker from the Fone company...the colorful one in blue and green, iirc. The wireless charging worked but the NFC was unusable with it. (not that I myself use nfc

Anyone find a good charger/headphone jack combo adapter?

Havent found any good reviews for oneplus 7 pro compatibility.

there's at least 3 of us with working ones and the compatability seems pretty wide
I bought this for £2.45! Works perfectly fine for me ??

I bought Ugreen adapter from AliExpress and it works like a charm. Quality is also very good.
I ended up getting this one and I can confirm it works. Good enough for my overnight charging.

Also check the 6T thread on the same subject.
I have the one from my 6T and it's working fine.

So I ordered this based on your recommendation but I can seem see get it to work with my OP7P. I tried it in my macbook pro and the dongle itself seems to working fine but the phone does not detect it. Are there any special set of setting that I need to do to make sure the phone see it?
More about my phone, US version:
ROM: Oxygen 9.5.11
Rooted: Magsik 19.3
Recovery: TWRP 3.3.1-4
No additional kernels and a few Magsik modules added, see attached image.
Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.

I didnt do anything other than make sure the plug was pushed in all the way to the adapter then it shows as charging. By the way, its starting to fall apart on me already so not the best quality but didnt expect it to be.

Will the adapter play audio only if it is being powered externally? And by that I mean the male USB-C port.
Does it support warp?
Anyone give this a try yet: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S33GV3...colid=EQZ8ESZ25EY7&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
Looks promising...
Ugh. Why can't a manufacturer figure out that warp charging is one of the main selling points of the OP7 Pro and the whole reason it doesn't have stuff like wireless charging, because it's all about fast fast fast charging? They would make a freaking fortune on a warp charging capable usb-c/3.5mm combo adapter.

Because the real reason there is no wireless charging is the same reason there is no 3.5mm jack. It is corner cutting and you can not cut corners correctly if you actually replicate the function in a new way. Then you would be creating something new and no longer cutting corners thus defeating the purpose of cutting the corner in the first place. lol

No, it plays audio even without it being powered externally

Question Does your pixel charger 2 work as intended?

My pixel charger 2 arrived yesterday and isn't working at all with my pixel 6 pro. I pairs with bluetooth and gives me all the controls and features, but the phone won't charge as it should.
It charges for 3 seconds and then disconnects.
It charges for 3 seconds and then disconnects.
It charges for 3 seconds and then disconnects.
And this the whole time. All my other devices work perfectly with the charger and my pixel 6 pro works perfectly with all other wireless charger (for example in my tesla model 3).
Does anyone other face this issue and found a fix?
Thanks for your help!

With Google's 2nd-gen wireless charger now arriving, some are noticing that they're not getting faster speeds. A Pixel 6 Stand update...

Is your issue caused by old software?
No, I have the latest December update installed.
SQ1D.211205.016.A1
I got my Pixel Stand 2 and charging works without an issue. Maybe you got a defective unit. Best try to get another phone and put that one on the charger, if the problem persists, it's probably a defect.

Other devices work perfect with the charger. And my phone charges perfectly with other wireless chargers. Only Pixel 6 Pro + Pixel Wireless Charger 2 doesn't work

Well, that's just odd. Did you ensure that all Apps are up to date? The Pixel Stand App is a standalone app that is updated through the Play Store.
What about the case. Maybe too thick?

I'm convinced mine is charging at a higher rate than 15W.
Working absolutely fine here.
Testet at night with low ventilation. Tested daylight. Everything as it should.
"Realign phone for faster charging". Yeah, what crap is this. If I use any of my cases it says this. What bull****. BTW I have the december update installed.

I had that message with the Spigen Tough Armor case, but when I switched to the Spigen Liquid Air case I no longer get that message.
Maybe your cases are too thick? I know I had issues with the Tough Armor on my OnePlus 8 Pro and now the P6P.
Should it say charging rapidly when on the charger or just charging wirelessly? Mine says the later.

The Pixel Stand 2 has three charging modi: Slow, Adaptive and Fast ("boost") - which one did you chose?

It's on the max setting. I just thought it would charge faster so not sure if it's meant to say charging rapidly or not, like it does if you use a rapid cable charger

Alright, I tried it out on my stand and even though it charged rapidly (looked up the Amps going in with AccuBattery), the AOD just says "charging wirelessly" - I guess Google removed the "rapid charging" notice with wireless charging.
Update: ignore that realign message. I'm using a case that is of normal case thickness (2-3mm) and using the Ampere app have verified I'm charging at 23W , the max allowed by the stand. Pow. Done.
Mine works fine apart from adaptive charging, charging the phone well before the alarm rendering it pretty much pointless
