[Q] Sim/Bootloader Unlock

Hai!
I have a question:
I have a Xperia Play that is Sim Locked and so i cant unlock my Bootloader.
My question is, if i pay my cellphone company to Sim unlock my Play, will i be able to unlock my bootloader after that? Or unlocking the bootloader only works on phones that are native sim unlocked?
Thanks!
It is still possible to unlock the bootloader of your phone as I have a sim locked phone but unlocked it and unlocked the bootloader altough to do this you are going to have to sim unlock your phone with a software like omnius which uses a testpoint connection which gives you the option to unlock the bootloader of your phone it will not work if you unlock your phone using a unlock code.

[q]unlock boatloader

planning to unlock boatloader of my Play, but according to the Sony method, warranty will void, and even faulty hardware itself will not be covered by warranty.
found another way to unlock boatloader using the point-test thing, but seems to be kind of risky too.
may i know most of you guys here used which method to unlock your boatloader?
in a great dilemma now!
why not unlock and relock.
You can unlock and re-lock your bootloader.
Unlock using: http://adfoc.us/423185576865
And relock using this : http://adfoc.us/423185576880
I'm not 100% sure that sony can test that it was unlocked after re-locking but it does indeed work with SEUS after you bootloader is locked back.

Bootloader unlock allowed Yes after official ICS update

I have Xperia Arc LT15 with GB 2.3.2 before & found out using *#*#7378423#*#* that I cannot unlock bootloader. I was disappointed as I was using CM7 & CM9 on my HTC Wildfire & ZTE Blade. So I decided to go with the official ICS update. But when I checked after the update it says "Bootloader unlock allowed : Yes". So the question is can I unlock bootloader now & install CM9 or other custom ROM using this (http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Sony_Ericsson_Xperia_Arc:_Full_Update_Guide) method?
Yup, you can unlock your bootloader.
Prince
Testpoint it and dont loose drm data. Easier to relock also.
Typed down from the sky with sexy LT15i
+1 for the testpoint method of unlocking. It is the safest and best.
Testpoint method advantages:
1. You keep DRM keys
2. OTA updates with S1tool unlock, I'm unsure?? It is safe with SEtool (paid) testpoint unlock, coz I've done an OTA myself after getting SEtool unlock done by jinx13.
3. No warranty loss.
4. Even carrier locked phones can be unlocked, although this is usually a paid service using SEtool instead of S1tool.
Sony official method might be free, but it is terrible because:
1. You lose DRM keys
2. You could wind up with a bricked phone if you are on an official Sony rom and install an OTA update.
3. It borks your warranty.
4. Carrier locked phones can't be unlocked at all this way.
Bootloader unlock allowed : Yes
it mean you can unlock your phone
Whaaaaaat?!!nofake? Updating the arc with official ics unlock bootloader?! Do it works for all the arcs?
Was it a piece of luck?
Plz respond quick I using jj's rom so I wont test before I ll be sure that it works...

How Sony to detect my device is locked or unlocked?

How Sony to detect my device is locked or unlocked?
And a Sony staff told me that if I apply for the unlock key only but not any unlock action, I would not lose the warranty.

Unlocking bootloader without tool

Is there anyway to unlock the Canadian ZL, which isn't unlockable by the tool?
