[Q] What the hell is this dip in my battery life?

So, at some point I turned off my phone and I -think- the sudden spike down in battery life is around that time.
Anyone got any explanations?

Mine has done that as well a couple of times. One time I had a charge of around 75%...rebooted my phone, and the battery was down to 15% percent.
Maybe it's just another bug we'll have to deal with until they come out with a fix.

thats strange mine doesnt have that much of a dip

every samsung product I have does this, gt 7, gt 10.1, droid charge, and this one. I don't recall my og droid, evo 4g or 3d doing this.

All phones show a dip when there is a battery pull while the phone is on....

Wasn't a pull, just a shutdown and reboot.

well if your phone was rebooted then that bald would have been reset because it displays monitors since last power-on.
there seems to be a bug where the cpu fails to underclock after a certain amount of usage and/or load. rebooting after intensive apps and/or before leaving the phone idle for extended periods of time seems to solve the problem for me. yes i get that too.

just press on top after you press battery usage on the screen that shows you the battery usage.

(TIP)Possible battery drain solution for LTE devices.

Like many here I've been having battery drain issues since the day I purchased the Galaxy Nexus. I also purchased the extended battery since day one. I've been reading through every single forum on how to reduce the battery drain and none seems to have worked for me. I've tried switching to wifi, 3g only, no email push, no google+, etc and my phone at 100% battery would lose almost 30% within 2 hours idling. Then I was looking at the settings and I came across the Developer Options/Background process limit and limited my background process from Standard to At most limit to 1 process and my battery has improved tremendously. Prior to making the change the Android OS was using 80+ % on idle (Wifi or 3g didn't make a difference), now it's uses around 20 or less. On idle I'm seeing around 4% or less an hour vs 15% battery drain.
Please remember this may or may not solve YOUR battery drain, but it has definitely helped mine and I just wanted to share with the community on what else you can try.

I've had pretty good results with my battery. I think some of ya'll are either just playing around with it too much or have some energy-sucking apps out there.

Or that you don't have a connection to the data network.
Just say'n. (I do the same thing at night)

I had Wi-fi enabled for 12 hours, and the battery only dropped to around 85%. I have been on 4G for 5 hours now, and the battery is now down to 13%. I'm going to use a Wi-fi/3G combination tomorrow. Oh and I also have my phone rooted/underclocked to 900Mhz.

I've been using it for 3 days and have had no issues. Anyways its as easy as checking the standard limit if you ever wanted to revert back.

Used the phone alot during the lectures today, tested this halo stuff (really don't like it).
But ~9h is just too little or?
System is just 2 weeks old, so pretty clean i think.

It was about 2.5 hours screen on time.
My stats for today are attached.
Screen on time is 3h 5min. The almost horizontal line at the beginning is in airplane mode but with wifi on.
Is this okay? It feels like that this is way too little runtime :/

seems fine to me.

That's about average battery life for me. If I stand right in front of the wifi router + good 3G signal I can maybe get 3.5-4 hours screen on time. Else its usually about 3 hours on full wifi. Or 1-2.5 hours on full 3G or mix of 3g/wifi depending on the day and the brightness.

3hrs is my normal. Just go out n buy a separate charger and another battery or two (that's what I did) and u just have an extra battery on hand when u need it

Hi guys it's me again,
NOW I think my battery drains way too fast, I don't use my phone that often but I can't make it over one day!
Here are some screens, i know i've got 30 % left, but thats gone pretty soon
I'm running on Purity 5.7.1 (Android 4.2.2) and Fancy Kernel r36 extended version for quite a long time now.
Is my battery too old and damaged, should i purchase a new one?

[There is a very small part where the battery charged while attached to a computer due to syncing over a few songs. I only seem to recall that battery going up by 1% at this time]
Anyone have any suggestions?

After installing snapdragon battery Guru i mentioned verry low speaker audio during phone Calls. uninstalling fixed the behavior.

That was with about 3 hours of gps on and using Google maps and a route planner for my deliveries today. I don't know if that's good as I've yet to use it like this before.
I have all off screen and on screen gestures turned off except the 3 fingers for screen shot. Auto brightness and wifi was off today as well.
The other day I let my phone idle for 9ish hours while I slept and I lost 4%, that was also putting the cell data to edge though.
I also use the greenify app, not the built in greenify. Haven't messed with the built in greenify does it work the same way?
Tapped out on my beastly OPPO Find 7a

This has got to be a bug...
Unplugged, drove to work and noticed no drain on the monitor.
The phone was trickle charged by my router though overnight, not through the OEM charger

I disabled the gestures, that helped a lot.

Battery drain on note 10 plus

Hello everyone, so I bought used note 10 plus 5g two days ago, and the battery life is bad, its between 4 to 5 hours screen on time, and losses battery when I am sleeping or screen is off , do I have to change my battery?

I had this battery drain after the latest update. Wiping cache solved the problem completely. Try it.

I don't update my N10+'s, one's running on Android 9, the other 10.
I will likely never upgrade higher than 10.
Security is simply not an issue. Updates tend to break things and will make you have to find work arounds -if- they exist.
After 1-3 years the battery should be replaced. Replace with a new OEM rear cover seal. It's not a big deal if the repair person knows what they're doing. Got mine replaced for $50 and learned how to while watching. Replace it before it fails which can heavily damage the phone. Any battery swelling ie rear cover bulging is a failure, replace at once.
Once optimized with a good battery I get:
7-12%@hr SOT
1%@hr AOD always on, phone/internet connected

I use a package disabler to kill about 80 bloatware packages. Google backup Transport and all cloud storage are known hogs. All carrier, Google and 3rd party app feedback is disabled.
Google Firebase is turned off, Playstore and Google play Services are disabled unless needed. Try just disabling Google play Services at night and see the improvement (Google backup Transport is a dependency of it).
