No TWRP was made by developer yet so kindly wait when it develops

This is definitely not a recommendation or guide and chances of success are low, but If you're adventures and 200% sure you know & have what's required for flashing the device back from a bootloop/soft-brick if things go wrong, you can experiment booting into TWRP with one of the unofficial TWRP versions that comes closest to and matches how Recovery is setup on this device and see if you have luck, then do a permanent install if you find one that works. If not and in general - better not going this route and wait until someone makes & test a proper version for this specific model.

Thanks for the answer. I prefer not to risk it and wait for the official. I would like to use gcam on this phone but so far I haven't found one that works

Possible root for official 2.1... (Confirmed not Working)

EDIT: It doesn't work, let's move on.
Just saw this now, apparently it works for all HTC 2.1 devices using the 'fake ota' method.
I will rewrite the guide here once someone has confirmed it works.
I can not and will not test this as I wasn't stupid enough to flash the official 2.1 RUU.

Once you get to clockwork mod recovery you should be able to flash a custom rom!

Reports on the guide website suggest that this will NOT work for HTC Hero users or in fact any phone which did not originally ship with v2.1 of Android.
I'd love someone to prove this wrong so keep trying but don't get your hopes up.

I just wan't to make it more clear to my self. If I understood you ppl right, there is no possible way to root official GSM 2.1? Or am I wrong?
And does anyone know, how fast we will get rooted GMS EU 2.1 after it is released? Fast thing to do?
Also first part of OTA (YouTube update), i hope it didn't take ability to root from me?

There is no known way, yet.
There are already rooted GSM custom rom's based upon the 2.1 releases which have happened so far. It takes dev's a few hours from release usually to get them into the public domain.

If you installed the latest ota just downgrade & root.
For rooting the europe 2.1 I aim to be as fast as last time but it depends on when it is released.

Well then IMO you have to add to your guide.
"First, you need to downgrade your ROM to 2.73.xxx.x"
Like: "Also downgrade 2.73.405.93, even if it starts with 2.73...".
Btw: If I would flash Part 2 OTA update, 2.1 andoird, would it be as easy as now, to downgrade?

You can't downgrade once you flash part 2 as the version will change from 2.73.xxx.xx
Yeah I do need to change that, I just couldn't remember it when I was writing it!

What about theX9007 platform?
This is great news about a new, stable release, but everything says it is for the X9006 only. Myself and others have the X9007. I use my X9007 in Europe and the USA... and have no intention of using LTE in China. If I flash this, will I essentially have the X9006?
I am currently running the last X9006 beta that was OK to flash on the X9007. All my cell networks are working fine, including LTE. If I do this, will I need to perform a special modem flash for baseband... or only if I want a "Chinese" phone? Everything I have always heard is that both phones are exactly the same hardware.

B002 Firmware for M2-801L

Hello!
Similar to other people in this forum I have installed TWRP recovery and now decided I actually want OTA updates. Of course I forgot to do a backup before I replaced the original recovery.img with the TWRP one .
Now to my problem; I cant seem to find a download site for the firmware version which I have installed :crying: .
Model number: HUAWEI M2-801L
Build number: M2-801LV100R001C100B002
Custom version: CUSTC100D002
Could someone here be sitting on a link or maybe been smart enough to backup this specific recovery.img ?
Thanks in advance

I struck luck with the B002 firmware for M2-801W, that recovery seems to be working fine for my M2-801L. Thanks for the link toxic_garden :good:.
Also, can confirm that huawei extractor (v.0.9.9.3) did a good job of retrieving the OEM recovery.img from the downloaded .zip. I don’t have much faith in Huawei servers though, crazy slow download speed .

I just rooted the new android 11 update.
The only difference from android 10 is you should now use the newest magisk v23 rather than the older one
I followed this guide exactly except skipped all the magisk workaround stuff and just used the latest version of the magisk app to patch the boot.img

To be honest with you, I don't know if this will work for At&t, it might but I don't have the at&t model so I cannot verify for you. You can try flashing via adb sideload in recovery and see but non of us are responsible if things don't work lol

After a bit of experimentation I managed to get it to work. Although you can't just `add sideload` it since the verification will fail. You'll have to unlock the bootloader and dd some partitions manually. Then once it thinks it's the global variant you can `add sideload`. I made a thread about it https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/turn-at-t-into-a-the-global-variant.4393631/

General A WARNING TO ALL A32 4G/5G USERS (very important)

As you have seen in the title, this is a warning. DON'T root your galaxy a32, as it can take some time but the phone will lose fingerprint unlock and sim card/internet functionality because of UNKNOWN BASEBAND and IMEI error.
You can't get it to work even reflashing stock firmware, and you can't downgrade because of samsung bootloader lock. There's no TWRP for the 4g variant so you can't backup important partitions. Many people are having this problem with both 4g and 5g, as seen in the forums from those device.
If you don't want to turn ur galaxy into an AndroidPod with no sim, then don't root it, atleast for now or until magisk people bug fix it.

I posted in the Magisk support forum.
I haven't opened a bug repot in github yet, cause they require the bugs to be tried on their alpha "canary" versions.
I found very old bug reports of people having the same problem with older samsungs. IDK if related. I'm still investigating and talking in the support forum.
Maybe soon I'll try flashing their canary version. I don't thinnk it will fix it but It'll help me investigate further into the partitions and such.

I have TWRP for the 5G version: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=325796 (not my code)

OK, so if I boot TWRP what do I do next? Do a backup? Erase the NVRAM?
Also I don't wanna be rude but are you sure it's for any A32 model? The tutorial says something about it being only for Q models.
Check your SM- model, if it's not a Q then just find another ROM.
Boot TWRP and install the stock ROM for the 4G version of the phone.
It should be a Q at the end.
