Proximity Sensor Problem - MI10T 5G - Xiaomi Mi 10T / 10T Pro Questions & Answers

I have been having a lot of problems with the Proximity Sensor on my MI10T 5G.
When raise the phone against my ear to take a call.. the display does not go off and i accidentally keep pressing mute and other buttons by mistake.. this has become a big problem.
Xiaomi has told me to do a complete factory reset once and set up my phone again and test it.
If it's still a problem, then could be a hardware issue.
But I searched and seen that many people are facing the same problem... Any solution out there ??

i was having that issues with the default google phone app at mi 10t pro.
i am using true phone now instead of google and i have 0 issues

Xiaomi Mi5s Plus touchscreen issues

The multitouch with 3 or more touches goes crazy
I would understand if it's a hardware or software problem, until now I have tried any rom for this phone and the problem remains.
Maybe the problem is in all Mi5s Plus.
The phone also has problems in Google maps pages (see the video)
You have the same problems?

touchscreen issue..
Yeah I have the same issue and another person on another forum reported this also.
I guess xiaomi went budget on the touch / digitizer or something. Might be ground related also?
I have not reported it to xiaomi or the store I bought the phone from..
I think this issue is software related instead. This maybe due to Glove Mode is turned on automatically and I cannot find any options in settings to turn it off (I found it somewhere in my previous Mi devices).

Xiaomi Mi5 proximity sensor died

So, I've moved to LineageOS with my Mi5 at lineage-14.1-20170620-nightly-gemini and everything was fine.
About a week ago I've updated to lineage-14.1-20170704-nightly-gemini and all worked well still.
But yesterday proximity sensor on my phone gone wild: it stopped to work in all situations, but started to work wrong for WhatsApp: if I press play on voice message, screen goes off and WA plays message in main speaker (top one).
Right now I've updated firmware to this (Developer 7.7.6 Firmware from https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-5/development/tool-flashable-firmware-twrp-easy-t3474898) and updated lineageOS to lineage-14.1-20170711-nightly-gemini but it didn't help.
Proximity sensor now looks completely dead: tried Sensor Box app from GoolePlay and it permanents shows 5.000305. Proximity sensor doesn't work during any calls, etc.
I found some topics with similar issue on Mi5 on miui forum, and sensor calibration seems to solve this issue on stock MIUI, but can't find any info about how to calibrate sensor on lineageOS.
Requesting any assistance, and especially from @bgcngm and @h2o64.
Thanks
Same problem here. Have you found any solution?
Best,
g.

OIS problem

Sometimes (actually almost every time) when i start the camera, the image on the screen is 'flickering' and i can hear the camera making a noise. When i shake the device, the picture gets clear and the sound goes away. Especially when i want to make s movie i can hear that sound. Also, I'm not sure if the OIS works since i don't see the option to activate or deactivate it (I'm on 8.2.23.0 xiaomi.eu).
Any ideas?
No one?
My. Ois it totally silent
For me it looks like a hardware issue. Like the sensor was stuck.
I don't think OIS can be turned off. It's mechanical so it's always there.
no problem on my mi 6, might be a hardware problem
after flashing a new rom, the problem is gone. seems it was rom related after all.. thanks anyway...

Proximity sensor stops work Android Pie

Does anybody has problem with proximity sensor in Android Pie?
For me it stops work after half day and only reboot helps. In Oreo I haven't this problem
I've gotten this problem during calls
Update: proximity sensor stop work in phone app. With other apps its works without problem.
Interesting. Has worked for me but I've only made a handful of calls since going to Pie.
Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
new update: looks like I found why proximity stops work. I use Cube Call Recorder and this app after a couple calls "kills" proximity sensor in dialer app. I removed Cube and now everything ok.
I'm having this problem too, but I don't have any sort of call recording app. Randomly it just refuses to put the screen to sleep when I'm on a call. Really frustrating.
Same issue here, since few days I have notice that the proximity sensor during phone calls will not turn off the screen, only reboot restores sensor functionality that's annoying, also I have this pixel 2xl for 2weeks this is an irritating issue. Hope help comes soon.
P.S
No new software has been installed on this phone that I have not used on my previous phones essential ph1 and Samsung Galaxy S8.
Cheers.
Couldn't find this thread earlier.
I'm also facing the same issue now. Android Pie.
Anyone found a Solution?
#5 was my problem

Redmi Note 8 Pro Gyroscope Problem

As some of you guys might already know Redmi devices have Gyroscope issue but it get fixed with Calibration (in my case temporarily)
previously in Android pie, while playing pubg Gyroscope was working fine with no issue, but i had the issue with my gyroscope while charging where my aim was moving on its own even on a flat surface. but it used to happen while charging only (& my Gyroscope setting is always on with 190 sensitivity just for the info)
And now in Android 10 it happens after every 10, 15 minutes doesn't matter how many times i 've calibrated my device but it never get fixed permenantly.
But I know the temporarily solution:
About > All Specs >Tap 3 times on kernal version > Press on the top right corner & go to additional tools
Acc Calibration Tool:
Accelerometer ( not all values are zero) just calibrate your accelerometer, & your device should be on a flat surface
Gyroscope Calibration Tool:
Gyroscope (all values are zero but some are in (-ve) zero don't know why ?)
Calibrate Gyroscope - also device should be on a flat surface
check your Gyroscope issue with 'Compass app' and values should be constant on a flat surface
You can also use 'Gyroscope Test App'
in my case:
mine only gets fixed after calibrating and waiting for 20 seconds at least. i use Gyroscope test app to know whether my Gyroscope issue is fixed or not
and mine never get fixed after device reboot.
seems like this is the Hardware issue. i tried to hard reset changed rom to miui 12 came back to miui 11 but the issue is still there.
and calibration is the temporarily solution for me until i don't reboot my device.
didn't tried custom rom yet.
Did any of you guys have the similar issue, or any of you know how to fix it? Please Help!
Strange seems like no one is facing this issue
I am facing the same problem from past two days on my redmi note 8 pro . It can be fixed temporarily by rebooting the device . But after opening CIT by tapping kernel version my accelerometer is not showing anything it's blank

Sorry to say that i cannot help ??
Facing the same issue. Screen doesn't rotate, accelerometer and gyroscope values are blank in CIT
On a steady table using the built in level function in the compass app was showing 1 degree (table not perfectly flat) for a couple of minutes and now it`s changed to 2 degrees and has been showing that for over five minutes, The only problem i have had is if i am on the home-screen in portrait mode with the phone on the table and click on my browser (opera) the screen will change to landscape mode, Then if i lift up the front of the phone the display will change to portrait mode, It does this with a few apps and it can be a pain, I could download a screen rotation all to fix the problem if i needed, So no major problems and i am not phone gamer, I prefer my 360 or PC
i hope this work for you
If your gyroscope is temporary work after restart you can fix it with my guide:
1.restart your device
2.open the cit test (multiple tap on kernel number)
3.calibrate your gyroscope in flat surface and make sure your gyroscope is still active
4.follow the other sensor calibration until you complete the compass calibration .
4.you can exit cit and check all your sensors
note:do this as fast as you can

:::my note8 pro also has same issue
i also tried all the tricks, calibration and all stuff but it only worked temporarily. if i place my phone on flat surface, it stops moving for some minutes but starts moving again.
i even tried changing my miui version from global to indian varient but the problem is still on. these days when i press the phone on top left corner, the gyroscope moves even more faster and when i press it around middle, it starts moving in opposite direction but never stops. somewhere i have hheard that this may be due to hardware issue, because of heating.
