Question V4A not detecting custom DDCs after update - OnePlus 9 Pro

Basically what title says.
Since I updated my phone to 11.2.9.9 (BA), V4A (legacy, 2.5.0.5) won't detect custom DDCs. Has anyone encountered this problem and/or does anyone know what may be causing this and how to fix it?
Help appreciated.

Update: if anyone faces the same problem, uninstalling the app that is automatically installed with magisk module and manually installing the apk that's in the folder with Viper stuff seems to have solved the issue.

I tried to install v4a many times and I did it, however for some unknown reason v4a has no permission to read presets folder. Maybe you did some trick?

Could you please give me a hint. I just followed instructions to install v4a using magical module. Again, it works but I am unable to save my settings and to read presets from the folders.

Which version of V4A have you installed? During installation it should ask you whether you want it to install as a system app or a normal app, did you install it as system app?
Also, have you installed audio modification library and ainur narsil before installing v4a?

I installed installed audio modification library and ainur narsil prior v4a installation.
I don't recall any question asking me whether want it to install as a system app or a normal app. Again I used magisk module. See attachment.

I have no idea why it doesn't let you save presets, sorry. Mine let me from the get go.

Can't log in Snapchat, problem (Marshmallow)

"Oh no! Your login temporarily failed, so please try again later. If your login continues to fail, please visit support.snapchat.com/a/failed-login ".
This is the message I have, I can't resolve it, I tried reinstall, uninstall whatever.... I'm not banned or anything.
They told me it could be because of the xposed.
Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk
What is Xposed ? I'm not root at all.
So, no one know this problem ? I'm not root, and I've never been root.
This IS because of Xposed. Your only solution is to log into snapchat with xposed uninstalled then reinstall xposed. In a nutshell:
- Disable all modules > Reboot
- Uninstall all modules, then uninstall the Xposed installer App > Reboot
- Flash the xposed uninstaller via recovery or flashfire
- Log into snapchat with your xposed free phone
- Reinstall Xposed and NEVER log out of snapchat again. Or else the same thing will happen
I believe there's some shortcuts you can take in the uninstall process, but I prefer doing the cleanest method.
There is an alternative fix. And that's only if you have a backup of SNapchat with Titanium Backup. If the backup is from a time where it was working properly, you can restore the data only to get back in.
If you don't then I recommend making a backup so incase you happen to accidentally log out, you'll have an easier time getting in

So I still don't know what are you talking about, if I'm not root, it's still because of Xposed ?

Did you buy your phone brand new or was it a used device? If it was a used device the previous owner may have rooted the phone and installed xposed
Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk
My phone was brand new and to be honest I know what I am doing. Since this is not my first device that I rooted and/or installed custom recovery with any modules

Me brand new too
Hmm. I had this problem but it was because Snapchat did detect xposed. After i flashed a ROM without xposed, Snapchat works.

That is correct. If you can, if you try to log in through another phone that is confirmed working for someone else (Such as an iphone or another stock android), does the same error message appear?
The only two potential choices I can think of is to do a factory reset, or contact snapchat support if you cant log in anywhere else as well.

I've just resolved the problem last night, I actually made a factory reset, and after I create a new Google Account when the phone asked you, and after log in to Snapchat, but now I'm using my older gmail account and my Snapchat still works, so it's cool !

I know the thread has pretty much come to a close at this point but as a person who uses Xposed and flashes many roms, all you have to do to log in is not have xposed installed when you log in. Modules (including snapchat modification modules) don't cause login issues!

Can't Get Viper4Android To Work

Hey guys,
I just installed 13b and have it rooted. I installed busybox and installed it and I have my SELinux set to permissive. I have also checked use awesomeplayer in dev options. I have installed the driver for V4A and set everything up. However, when I play music there is no effect. I have tried forcing enable and also using compatible mode. Nothing seems to do the trick. Funny thing is I had V4A working perfectly on 11A firmware. Does anyone have any ideas or anything I can try to get it to work? Thanks!
Sounds like you've done everything right... I'm on 13B as well with all of what you mentioned with the exception of setting Awesomeplayer; mine is off.
What player are you using?
What are you using, SELinuxModeChanger? setting on boot as well?
Are you using the play store app or the flashable ZIP?
Otherwise, you made need to start over...you're doing it all correctly.
delete Dalvik, cache, remove V4A, busybox... and reload it all.

It will work if you log in before xposed is installed or if you use the system less xposed (works with Android pay too) and the material xposed installer. Just have to toggle xposed off and restart before you log in to snapchat or use Android lay
thnx i will try to first log in then install xposed

here's what I do to make snapchat let you sign in. you need TItanium Backup for a backup and xposed uninstaller to temporarily remove xposed framework. snapchat doesn't want xposed framework.
1: uninstall xposed framework via recovery
2: clear snapchat data then sign in.
3. once signed in, you can back up the app+data using TitaniumBackup ( for future uses. like when xposed is running and if you're moving into a new rom or whatever )
4. you can now flash back xposed installer into your device. = profit

This is what I do every time snapperfs has an update. It'll help you log in as well.
Uninstall xposed framework. Clear cache, log into Snapchat. Take a backup of it using titanium backup and then re-install xposed framework. Restore Snapchat from titanium backup and viola you're signed in and working like it should.

I'm not sure about the patched versions of xposed, never used them but you can try to use the uninstaller found in the link below.
dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/
I use this and it works like a charm. Just put it on your SD card and flash it from twrp and xposed framework should be removed.
Note: you will still see xposed on your phone, that's the installer. It should say xposed framework not active when you open it up.

I believe that's the latest version for xposed. I personally am on version 87 and have had no issues so far.
I'm running the last cm13 nightly build that was available for Z00A.
The last file you see there is the uninstaller zip that's what you flash to uninstall xposed framework. Like I said before, you'll still see the app after you reboot but the framework won't be installed and Snapchat should sign you in.
What version of Snapchat are you on? Are you using snaperffs on xposed too? You might want to uninstall that before signing into Snapchat.

Control Notification volume seperate from Ringtone Volume

I have tried some apps and some searching and cannot find something that allows controlling the volume separately. Is this possible? I have seen apps that it would seem would let you do this but when you change the one volume the other follows it so you cant turn one up and the other down.
This was my favorite thing about PA and cyanogenmod ROMs. I have been searching for something like this since 7.0 no luck
Never knew how much it would bother me until I got a phone that didnt do it. My Galaxy s7edge had different volumes for each.
I've actually preferred it consolidated the way it is now. I used a Note 2 before I got my Pixel 2 XL because my Nexus 5X died on me and seeing ringtone, notification, media AND system volumes did not bring back good memories. I don't want to micro manage volumes. LOL.
Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
This is one of the features I need in a custom ROM or xposed module, can't wait to be able to adjust notification sounds separate from ringtones! Honestly, i wish there was a way to adjust notifications per app instead of just general, but that's pushing it I know..
I am rooted is there anything that can be installed to separate them now?

No it's a custom framework you put on your stock ROM that installs modules sort of like the ones in magisk. But GravityBox pretty much has everything you can imagine it. Most of stuff that comes with a custom rom normally, is in that gravity box. So you would install the Xposed Framework and then you would install gravity box.

You want the arm64 one. first install the APK 3.1.5 on your phone, and then install the module SDK 27 for Oreo inside magisk , just search it in the downloads in magisk you'll find it. After installing module you'll have to reboot. Then open up the app on your phone. Hit the little cloud and have it installed via TWRP it'll do it by itself. You actually don't have to do anything in twrp once it boots there just boot back to system. Now when you reboot back to system you open up that app it should be green then you go to downloads and search for GravityBox for Oreo. You'll have to change 2 Beta so you can find the right version to download. When you install it check the box next to it and then restart should be good to go
Also breaks safety-net I don't use Android pay but the few apps I do use that need safety-net I set them up before I install Xposed and they still work after I install Xposed
Edit. Also I don't think we used to have to install it inside the APK. When you did it in magisk it took care of it but that's not working for me anymore so I don't know if it's actually still systemless or not. I'm by no means am ia pro at the Xposed.
