anyone tried Moto G6 with LineageOS 18 Unofficial? i would really like to know if is slow or just as fast as LineageOS 17 on the device?
also is Moto G6 with LineageOS 18 Unofficial ali still getting security updates?
are you able to install downloaded updates from lineageOS's own webpage to update the unofficial versions if so could you tell me the webpage to download updates and how to apply them?

It's up to the person who builds it to update all their github.com repositories with all the sources for building and then submit it to lineageos
This has apparently been done but no reply has been received - either because not all the sources have been made available or the request has not been processed

each rom will have its own requirements to become official - check either their website or github for details
Is it likely it will ever get official support? I need a new phone (coming from Moto G falcon with Lineage 14.1), Moto G4+ and G5 are more or less the same price in my country, and if I haven't gone for the G5 yet is because I'm not sure it will be getting that support. Or do you think Moto G5 custom ROM scene will be at some point as good as Moto G4's?

Keep your Falcon if it still works
Cedric is far from being a bad device, but I would have wait a little more if my own falcon had not died too soon.
Cedric doesn't have a big enough community for any efficient dev teamwork.
I'm about to get an OnePlus 5T. I definitely want to use LineageOS on it but since there is no official version for LAOS for the 5T (not14.1 ,nor 15.1) yet I will have to stick to a unofficial or semi-official version. There are two popular ones in this forum:

The second one seems more beta-ish but its from the official maintainer of the LAOS 14 build for the OnePlus 5T. The second one seems way more done with the only two things not working being VoLTE and the weird WIFI turned off after a restart bug. So nothing major imo.
What is your guys opinion? Which version should I use?

Unless someone builds it then no
There has never been an official build of lineageos for this device
There are currently no official builds of lineageos 16 for any device as far as I'm aware as its still a work in progress
Of course anyone can build unofficial versions
Dear Folks,
there're like at least 3-4 unofficial builds of LineageOS 16.0 unofficial. In the past (before christmas) there was the plan of getting one dev maintaining the official LOS 16 build. I can't find any recent information. Any news on that?
I'm interested in LineageOS 16 for MicroG. Their build roaster depends on official LineageOS 16 builds - so without them I can't get that.

Do you have any plans to make an official build of LineageOS 17.1 for Redmi 4x (santoni) at all? If so, what is the expected delivery date?

This is no official LineageOS channel. And lineageOS team never gives predictions about future releases. In your case i would be happy about having official 16.0.
