LG G4 Bootloader Unlock tool/Trich(TEST/Experiment) - G4 Android Development

I know you'll be wondering weather this tool can unlock the G4 bootloader(even the H818 variant) . Well the answer is "YES", It's a test so I'll need some devices on which i can test on it.
If you have an useless device(LG G4),Broken then only share with me. I don't want your fine device to be bricked. If you have an International model(H815) then only send me or if you have H818 variant (only Europe) then only share with me this. Other models can be unlocked check on the development section of LG G4 this thread is specifically focused on LG G4 H818 variant

i can help you brother, check dm.

[Q] will LG G4 Comes with a option of unlocking bootloader

I should be getting LG G4 given that the specs they are using, my question is LG like Samsung which release varies same model like they did with S4, S5, also does LG G4 approve of unlocking bootloader etc?
Too early to know. The tmobile variant will likely be unlocked like the T-Mobile G3. LG could put an updated version of Loki on the G4.

Many H815 owners (Europe) have already unlocked their bootloader.
Visit LG.com , register as a developer and follow the unlocking process outlined by LG.
Back in May when I unlocked mine there was only the H815 on the list.
LG are rolling out the service to other G4 devices.
Monitor the list to see if the code for your device is available.
LG repeatedly warn you of serious issues that unlocking a bootloader may cause but will in the end email you your unlocking code.

I have a question about the LG G4 US991 variant.
Is it the same in terms of development, modding, rooting etc.?
Can you guys shed some light as to what is the major difference compared to the H815?
Can the H815 developments, rooting, modding etc. work on the US991
thanks in advance guys...
*bump* i am wanting to put cyanogenmod on my LG G4 US991 (US Cellular variant bought unlocked at Best Buy for use on TMobile network which works just fine) but also cant find any info over the H815. Help?

If you are still on Lollipop, it can be rooted with Low Effort root and you can install Xposed through Flashify. That's it, since there's no bootloader unlock. If you're on Marshmallow, you can't root.

I'd swap out your US991 for a T-Mobile H811 (which comes with an unlockable bootloader out of the box). You can only unlock the bootloader on International (non-US) H815s and the T-Mobile H811.
Hey ecaslak, I accept that deal. I have a two weeks old g4 US991 and I happily swap with yours.

US Variant H815 rooting question

Before anyone asks, yes I've searched, but have not been able to find any solid answers. So here I am. I just bought an LG G4 from ebay, I was listed as a T-Mobile model but when it arrived, I discovered it was a US model H815. It's running vx10b-eur-xx. These apparently have locked bootloaders. My question is, is there any method I can use to root this device and run a ROM like CM14, or am I stuck with what it's got? Like I said, all my searches never really come up with a for-sure answer. (hopefully this is in the right spot)

Apparently there is a US Variant H815, when I attempted the unlock the bootloader the LG developer website stated that the device could not be unlocked because it was a US model. Not the exact quote, but close enough. Thanks for the reply though.

The Canadian LG G4 model is H812. If you have an H815 it is not a Canadian model - likely European or Australian.
Some H815's can be officially unlocked - check out LG's site for the how-to or search XDA for H815 unlock. Other H815's have to be unofficially unlocked, as does the H812 if that is what you in fact have. For those, check out: [UNLOCK][UNOFFICIAL][G4] Unlock **ANY** LG G4 device with UsU by steadfasterX.
Ah, ok, got the model number mixed up, thanks though.
