I recently got galaxy SM-A325F/DS and realised what a terrible mistake that was. Its on quarterly schedule and due to mediatek SoC its laggy and those slowdowns are really noticeable. There is a update for this phone in peru with september security patch. I don't even know if it's gonna come in my region. Is there a way I can trick phone into thinking that my region is peru with vpn and taking sim cards out? I have seen some toturials about this but no one has done it on samsung phones. How to do this. Yes I am aware I can flash firmware with sep patch but I need OTA updates and they will be disabled. So how do I do this or do I wait. I also want to mention I don't actually care about sep patch. Samsung adds optimizations and stuff to their phones and I want it on my phone. Samsung even makes me regret my choice as I see ads of galaxy A52s and A52 everywhere even on Google discover. Well for a 5-6 years I m stu k with this phone. So it is possible to get this update in my region without flashing any firmwares? Thankyou
Yes you can but your phone won't work correctly with SIM Cards because you are installing a version for another region SIM Cards

Some countries have not irreal (?too strong?) customer protect rules, they are the firsts (Sweden, Norway, France, Holland). I think we will get totally same OTA.

A brother Geordie , thanks for the links, I really want to wait a couple of days after it is released to make sure it`s safe before i upgrade, I usually use a wifi app to transfer files to my 10.5 but cannot do it at the moment and i dont like plugging and un-plugging all the time.

I downloaded the French version and installed using Odin. I live in the UK and I really don't know what Samsung's issue is with having a worldwide release that is a hell of a lot quicker than this . It's not like they are releasing 5.1 is it? This is probably the best Android tablet you can get at the minute and the support it is getting from Samsung is a travesty.
Has not v5.0.2 that is rolling out in France got the memory leak problem, and v5.1.1 has the leak fixed.

This is my first and last Samsung device. I cannot understand how they can postpone Lollipop update to Unlocked devices with no Carrier related connections. Why in ^&*()^ half of Europe need to wait months for Lollipop and other half can already use it? Where is difference between (for example) Norway unlocked and Sweden Unlocked? And there is more - many carrier locked devices already has Lollipop. Usually unlocked devices get updates first. But in Samsung world it's all around. Other manufacturers divide their updates in "unlocked" and "carrier related". Samsung divides them in "I'm drunk and I want to mess everything up" :cyclops:

If you're European, just flash any European firmware through Odin.
The OS is the same. Only the freebies are different (extra apps, free six month of some services) as they may be tied to local market.
It's no harder than an OTA update.
If you must, you can flash your local firmware over the top later when it's out. Without loss of apps.
Upon moving from 4.4 to 5.0, a factory reset may be recommended. Opinions seem to differ on that and it may dependent on what apps you're using
Disclaimer: I haven't updated my 8.4... Was also waiting for my own local 5.0.2 and/or a bit of free time, whichever comes first... But on my old Galaxy Tab 1st gen, I installed American, Indian and Austrian firmware... It doesn't matter much.

You could say that the one's who get it last will have a newer version as it does get updated.
I'm in the UK and I flashed mine with the Taiwan version as the build date is April, for most it's March. Very easy to flash.
Kitkat work's great, with Lollipop I haven't noticed any performance benefit.

Well it came in and has CSC G960USQU7CSJ2 from CCT (Comcast) and won't go past Android 9 security patch level October 1, 2019. I'm not very happy and they aren't responding to emails. I've never flashed firmware on a phone but have been reading everything I can find. My question is can I just change the CSC code to VZW (see link below) and it will then pull the firmware/security patches OTA or do I have to flash the full firmware? Thanks in advance for the advice guys..

first things first, please dont post outside links like that one on the bottom of your post.
now thats out of the way, all you need to do is flash the VZW firmware with Odin. I bought 3 Cricket S9's and flashed all of them with the U1 firmware and have also flashed the VZW firmware on them just for s--ts and giggles. Technically speaking, the firmware likely already has all the VZW stuff baked in, it just needs to be told which CSC to use, but since youre behind on FW anyways, just flash the newest G960U FW for VZW, reboot, profit. When flashing, be sure to use the HOME_CSC to not factory reset it and the CSC if you want a clean slate.

It says it is the latest s/w (the latest should be July 2020)
I checked Sammobile and discovered 2 firmware updates : USA(TMK) and USA (T-mobile)(TMB)
(tried to include sammobile link here but was disallowed due to new user status)
Which firmware is suitable for my phone?
Is there a way to unlock ATT and receive the normal monthly security update over the internet automatically?
(i saw Odin in youtube and have basic idea how to flash it)

Fellow Malaysian having the same problem as you. But my problem now is that I have Odin and the latest firmware (XAA) but Odin is showing failed to establish connection. How did you do it with yours?
Am using the AT&T version of the Note 10+.

Never experienced the failed connection before.
Have you installed the SAMSUNG-drivers ? The Samsung Smart Switch PC installation might help to fix the drivers.

Just want to share my experience in this. Bought an ATT N976U from the US and using in Malaysia. Phone came with XAA/XAA/ATT and never received OTA updates.
Downloaded Google phone app and changed CSC to TMB/TMB/ATT using *#*#27262826#*#*
Voila. Received the OTA updates one by one since May2020. Am now on N976USQU5EUC2.
Volte is also working on Celcom.
Did not have to flash firmware. Data not wiped. Everything seemed to be working normal apart from "Tips and Help" in settings crashes every time I click it. Also phone boots with T-Mobile logo now.

By searching online I realized this seems like a theme in these kind of issues. The only option I feel I have at this point is to install the upgrade myself. I'm more concerned with Android 11 than security patches. I still got for security patch from June 2020 and One UI 2.1.
With this context can you please help with the below questions:
1. When I try to look up the firmware using Model:SM-G986U and CSC:ATT in Frija or SamMobile nothing comes up. I'm looking for G986USQU1CTKH. Am I missing something?

AT&T doesn't allow their firmware to be publicly available for any of their devices. Have you attempted updating your device with Smartswitch? Flashing T-mobile's firmware isn't an option to receive updates on your device. This post has information and answers to your questions.

Hello is there any free way to debrand Samsung A52s on Android 12 One UI 4.0? I also dont want to trigger the KNOX flag. My current CSC is PRT (Poland (Play)) and I want to make it XEO (Poland). I already tried some methods with phone call codes and none of them work. Is there any way to do this?
If by debranding you mean removing bloatware and changing your bootanimation etc, just root your phone and do those things. You'll easily be able to find tutorials on how to do all that for your device.
Now, if by debranding you mean that you want a stock android feel, then sorry but your device doesn't have any custom Android development, so you can't install a stock/custom ROM.

By debranding I mean get full stock Samsung firmware which CSC code is XEO, and my current CSC code (PRT) and both are in OXM - multi-CSC so I need to change the CSC code, but tools that can do that are paid, like SamKey so is there any free way

There is nothing about how to do it just link to ADB
Then there's probably no free way to do what you're trying to do. Also in that post the person claims to have the same csc code as you (prt), and samkey did not work for him.

Want from DTM to DBT. My attempt to simply flash DBT and then use dialer codes to switch the CSC failed all.
SAMkey is no option for me, as i don't have any idea about the background and don't want to ;-).
Also: don't want to trigger KNOX.
Since i use a different carrier, i just want a stock SAMSUNG and don't have to wait for weeks for my updates.
If you found a way in the meantime, that would be good news.

Actually, there is a way that was created in the meantime. Around may 2022, developers of samfw.com created the SamFw Tool. It can change the csc of phone through ADB without root, so it does not trip KNOX or wipe data, which is awesome. It worked for me really well. Just make sure to use the non-root CSC change.

Can you accidentally tell from experience, that the [provider] CSC change work without need for rooting? My impression so far is that the provider CSC can not be overwritten by flashing, even after having removed the filesystem, so may be stored somewhere else? Or is the SAMSUNG server telling it to the phone, based on it's IMEI?

Answer to your question is very simple, samsung has multi-CSC roms, so flashing one or another won't change anything on the newer phones. There still are single CSC roms, but there are really few of them. And yes, I think it's based on IMEI, because you can't change the entry for the factory CSC, it will always remain there, but you can change the current CSC of the software just by using this tool.
