Google Calender: Problem Loading Widget - Google Pixel 3 XL Questions & Answers

My phone recently installed the October 2021 security update and with it my Google Calender 2x3 widget has stopped working. I've tried uninstalling the recent updates for Google Calender, I've tried clearing storage & cache, I've also tried turning the phone off and on and I've also tried removing the widget then adding it back to the home screen again but it will still tell me "Problem Loading Widget".
The 4x5 month view widget is working fine, so I'm super flustered why this one widget won't work?
Anyone else had this issue? Did you manage to resolve it?
My phone is still untouched, still locked bootloader & standard ROM.
Current build: RQ3A.211001.001

[2.10.405.2 OTS] friend stream widget

since updating to 2.10.405.2 stock firmware the friend stream widget hangs showing updating on the bottom bar. some times it show new posts other time it does not , seems only to be when manually updating / refreshing.
resting the phone / force closing the widget or removing it and re adding, when it reloads it show all posts and time when updated.
I have tried stopping the services and clearing the data/cash without success.
does anyone has any suggestions?
when this happened to me it was actually a problem with facebook/twitter
if you have the actual apps you might want to check if you've entered the right usernames/passwords etc
if it was working when you first installed the system then a hard reset would fix the problem, meaning either your information is incorrect or even when you reset you re-created the problem.
thanks. i can log in to facebook and twitter no problems and go in to the friend stream app, its only a problem with the widget.
Since i've started my adventure with Desire I have problem with Friendstream widget. It updates itself when it wants and never when I want it. Sometimes it is stuck for 2 days.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
random fix, i installed the Facebook app from the market place and now its working, i was using the stock app that was installed by default

[Q] Google Now Widget gone missing disappeared

Running CM10.1.3 stable on Samsung Galaxy S3 I747 and when I woke up this morning my google now widget was gone, just the widget. not on my home screen anymore, nor is it in my widget drawer. Google Now works perfectly, there is just no widget anymore. I've tried clearing data for google search app, using titanium backup i've uninstalled it and reinstalled google search from play store. Nothing else on the phone seems to have disappeared or stopped functioning.
Anybody else had this issue or have any advice?
Thanks,
Stu

Do you have auto update apps on? There was an update for Google search today. Maybe that is what happened. Try finding the previous version and see if you can get it back.

I rolled the app back to "factory version" and cleared data and cache, erased system and dalvik cache, and still nothing.

[HELP] App Drawer is empty (sometimes 1 or 2 apps)

I'm using the Google Now Launcher which I've used on all my Android phones for the past 4 years.
I installed it on my Note 7 and it was working fine until a few hours ago.
However, now when I click on the App Drawer, the normal white screen pops up but instead of being populated with apps, it is either empty or showing just 1 or 2 apps.
I have tried clearing data and the cache for the launcher. Uninstalling and reinstalling. Switching to TouchWiz and then back again but nothing is working.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I am not rooted btw.
Solved: It was Secure Folder - they don't play nicely together. I uninstalled Secure Folder. Restarted the phone and enabled Google Now Launchers and it works perfectly!
Does anyone know if this incompatibility between Secure Folder and Google Now Launcher is still present?
Brand new S8 - Same Issue
Google Now Launcher is not showing apps in app drawer on my new Samsung S8 with the latest update done today.
Same thing happened for me on my Samsung Galaxy S8 running Google Now Launcher.
Solved: Uninstalling Secure Folder as per OP solved the issue.
Here is the first working Pixel launcher for Knox (Secure Folder) enabled Samsung phones

Title on Google now cards disappeared

The cards on Google now are not showing any words and have pictures only on them, as seen in the screenshot attached
Is it the problem of the recent update to the Google app? Anyone got the same problem?
I have tried rebooting my phone, clearing cache, clearing all data of the Google app but no luck
many posts on google+ about it. had same issue. one person said a reboot fixed it. I personally just rolled back to last version.
I switched to a light wallpaper and it fixed it.
I thought it had something to do with DP2 since I noticed this immediately after installing the preview. Changing to a light wallpaper did fix the problem (not sure why).
I am on stock Oreo without root but there is still such problem
Yes, using light wallpaper fixed the problem, although I like dark more
I unenrolled out of the google beta and haven't had a issue since
I have been running the beta since release. Had the blank Google feed. When I cleared cache on Google app and rolled back updates it would work until app updated. I installed a stock Google wallpaper instead of non stock . Problem is gone... I hope.

General Problems with some apps in auto-sync

Hi,
I have last OOS version, 11.2.7.7 and I'm having problems with some apps besides the know problem of gmail not showing notifications of new emails.
For example in weather apps, in the widget in homescreen I have to force update to get new reading of temperatures. I've already tried two different weather apps. The same with OnePlus Shot, even with auto-update ON for daily images, with wifi and mobile data on, I dont get new image every day. I have to go inside OnePlus Shot and then it updates the homescreen with new background. In rest of apps I'm getting notifications and sync data automatically. Don't understand why in these apps it doesnt happen but seems to me something similar to gmail??? Any one having similar issues?
Thanks!
