Does POCO M2 Pro has Google Dialer in October 2021 ? - POCO M2 Pro Questions & Answers

I want to purchase a phone with MIUI Dialer. I saw that POCO M2 Pro is the best one now in my budget.
But I was wondering, if, just as Laptop Companies are now selling their older models with Windows 11, will POCO M2 Pro come with Google dialer if I buy it now i.e October 2021 ?
Also, is it possible for it to be updated to Google Dialer in a future update ?

Further updates are in Xiaomi's hands but till date Google dialer has not been added and it won't be added anymore I think.

Recently purchased this device . The device comes with MIUI dialer with automatic call recording . So you can go with this device.

HDR on Amazon Prime video app?

Hi there!
Some of you can play hdr content on Amazon prime video? The 7T is supposed to be certified but the maximum quality I can get is fullHD.
Back on November the option was there (settings-quality-streaming) which was 5.8GB/h but it disappeared three weeks ago. Now, the maximum is 1.8GB/h (fullHD).
Thanks.
Nobody with Amazon prime video? Really?
I am happy to check, but I honestly don't know how?
Not present
Just checked it's stuck at 1.8GB/Hr ! Any way to bring it back to 5GB / Hr ?

It's quite simple. Play a video with hdr option (the boys, the man in the hight castle, Jack Ryan, carnival row...).
While you are playing it (over WiFi if you can) touch the screen and under the duration bar you will see the resolution (hd, hd 1080 or hdr).
Or you can go to settings-qualitity-streaming (or download) and you should see something above 5GB/h.

I think is related to Amazon. This happens since they updated the app back on November (blue icon instead of white).
I cannot find the APK corresponding to the October version.

I just tried installing last 3 builds from Apkmirror and can confirm all 3 had same 1.8GB / Hr.
Sep build was worse as it has 460mb/hr.
Everytime I tried installing a new build, deleted all the cache and trace files of previous installation and proceeded. No luck
Update on 27th January 2020
I recently purchase the OnePlus 7T - HDR works on Netflix & YouTube. However, doesn't work on PrimeVideo app.
I had a chat with someone from the Amazon Support, here's an excerpt from that conversation (AgentName redacted) -
AgentName: Right now, Phones which has the Widevine L1 certification are able to access the videos in HD format only.
AgentName: Currently, HDR is not introduced in Prime Video app.
Me: Is that a region specific thing?
AgentName: We're adding the support for the phone one by one.
Me: Okay. Is there a list of phones that have already received the support? Something that will keep getting updated so that we can figure out which devices are now compatible
AgentName: We are working on this to adding the support for the phone one by one.
AgentName: To help you out, I've forwarded your expectations to our Prime videos Development Team so that they will look into this and may come up with HDR support for your phone in future updates.
Me: Okay. Thank you for your time AgentName. That's all I needed.
I think OnePlus should've done some work with these companies to ensure that their devices get HDR on these platforms before they mass produce and sell them. Hopefully this issue will be resolved soon. :fingers-crossed:

Please help decide - MiUI dialer and messaging + Camera on PM2pro vs RN9proMax

Hi All
I have ordered Poco M2 pro recently (6/64) at a pre-exchange price of 12339 INR (Post exchange 11339)
I have the option to order Redmi Note 9 Pro Max (6/64) at approx. 12610 INR (Same phone not available for exchange here)
Two main questions and opinions I need from you please:
1) How much better is the Redmi note 9 pro max camera compared to Poco M2 pro? Is it worth spending extra for Redmi Note 9 pro max over Poco M2 pro?
2) Although, noone is mentioned it specifically, looking at some of the videos in youtube of Redmi Note 9 pro max post MiUI 12 update, it seems it retains the Mi dialer and messaging app. Is it correct or it also loses these and gets the google dialer and messaging apps? I guess Poco gets updated to google dialer and messaging apps. Please clarify on this. It is important for me to be able to use Mi dialer and messaging apps.
I am not much concerned about ads as I will anyway debloat both using MIUI debloater and disable all ads.
Please help decide which one I should go for.
Any other difference or something which I should consider?

Is Sound Assistant only for Android 11?

I have a Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite, and my twin brother has the Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro.
He suggested me to turn on "Allow media sound in multiple apps".
It's a great feature but it's in Sound Assistant and I can't see Sound Assistant in Sound & Vibration.
Although it has MIUI Global 12.0.8, it runs on Android 10.
But my twin brother's phone, the Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro has that feature and runs on Android 11 so is Sound Assistant only on Android 11?
Yes.

Question Google Phone App - Call Recording

Hi,
is there a way to enable the call recording feature in the native Google Phone App outside of India?
It looks like to be available starting from v63
OnePlus exploring adding automatic call recording support in India
OnePlus devices don't support automatic call recording, but this may change in future in India, at least according to a staff member.
