Question any custom recovery - Moto G30

hello friends
can you give me recommendations for a custom recovery
I have seen in this forum that TWRP is not yet available for the motorola Moto G30.

There are no custom recoveries.

So what is the use of being root on this device?

How long do you think it would take to develop a Custom Recovery for this terminal?

It's essentially a modified cebu (G9 Power) for which a TWRP exists. It's Android 11 being the release OS that's blocking recovery development.

Yeah. MIght be the sole reason that development for this device to never take off

i might consider building a recovery for the device (i have managed to successfully build twrp for a mediatek device)

ok weirdly the files that need to be extracted arent being extracted but i have found the kernel source code for caprip https://github.com/MotorolaMobilityLLC/kernel-msm/releases/tag/MMI-RRCS31.Q1-3-34-1-4

I had the same issue attempting a GSI overlay; without the framework "glue" the kernel sources are pretty useless. I'm sure we'll get to grips with Android 11 devices eventually, hopefully in time for Lenotorola abandoning us on the obsolete pile.
On that note, it may be worth delaying the "ooh shiny" moment when 12 is released for this device. You can always apply an existing upgrade if needed but manufacturers have a habit of making backtracking, particularly RIL and bootloader, incredibly and unnecessarily difficult.

Do you know why it doesn't let me modify the "Build.prop" file in some way?

If you're rooted, if you need a file browser that allows you to mount "read/write" on that directory. I heavily reccommend against doing that if you don't know what you're doing.
And since you didn't already know that you had to mount Read/Write, i assume you don't know what you're doing. Don't mess with it.

What would the difference between a European stock rom and a Bell Canada stock rom? I look forward to the stock rom. Thanks

In order to avoid potential Force crashes amongst other issues it's generally advised to wipe via clockworkmod.
Well for a proper link to it, we'll need to know more like is your Wildfire S GSM or CDMA?

Q
If you have lost root, there is a tutorial very easy to follow on how root your phone just look in the android development section
Flash "root.zip" located in this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195275 This should hopefully resolve your issue of losing root.
Actually i see no differences between EU and others other than the languages ... and why not flashing any RUU ?

I've edited the app description to clarify this. I thought I had made it clear on the xda post and at the top of the app description for giving credit to bliss. The bootloader is still very much locked, but we have this working exploit thanks to loki. What I did was just build loki into cwm, so instead of the rom dev or kernel dev having to run the loki patch on their pc, now everytime someone flashes a zip or uses adb sideload their boot and recovery partitions are checked and lokified if needed. This just automates the loki process slightly. Freegee also makes it a little easier to flash these modified recoveries and disable the wallpaper (lge security) if someone wants to stay on a stock rom but just debloat it.
So please do not misunderstand, I just re-implemented loki. Please edit he thread title to indicate it was loki.

i guess i dont understand? you guys could have had roms ages ago with 2nd init recovery. you could have had true cm ports with loki recovery. nothing has changed, there is two ways a device has development on it, either teh people who have it step forward or they find a dev who is interested.

Shabby is right. We could have had roms from the get go but no one either knows or wants to build. I was in the process of learning but LIFE showed up at my door and I had to take care of that first. Now that I'm single and living alone, I could get back to being a creep that lives in a basement(literally in a basement apartment), and try to learn how to build Roms.
Shabby I have a question: Is building Roms pretty much the same for all phones? Generally speaking that is. Because I will no longer have this phone much longer.
Please Help

yes, for the most part building is building. get your build machine set up, sync a repo, edit some manifests and makefiles, configure, compile! obviously there are device specific things when you are trying to debug but the process is basically the same for any cm based rom once teamlgog has the cm bugs worked out for camera, by, etc. once our cm is pretty stable I'll start putting together some roms if someone else doesn't beat me to the punch.
if you want to put together custom roms based on stock there are a bunch of guides in various places across xda on deodexing and using the kitchen, etc to modify resources and add/remove apps and features. and if you want to play around with custom kernels, there's a thread in here to get you started. good luck!

You can download NuSense and locate HTCExtremePowerSaver.apk in /system/priv-app and just push to your priv-app and should have it.
R u saying to install the rom to get it or just somehow pull the apk from it and put it in priv-app? Basically most custom ROMs have it.
My Bonestock ROM has it as well..

I'm really not all that familiar with adb and fastboot (I know I need to learn) the only things I've ever really flashed is in recovery and I didn't really want to flash any of the other mods because they weren't specifically for our phone and I don't really want to screw anything up considering im pretty new to this

Regarding Root I have used phh's modified boot image from somewhere in XDA the link of which I forgot and fastboot flashed. With that I have installed phh superuser from Google play store and root works. However, some apps doesn't approve the SuperSU and busybox doesn't get installed. Meantime, there are multiple boot images for rooting N. If interested you can try the images one by one and post your results here

I'd suggest keeping twrp. Make a full device backup with it to sdcard. It's your safety net should anything ever go wrong. You'll be glad you did one day.
