Yep! I installed it the day it released. Great work to all the maintainers! Very small amount of bugs and runs incredibly smooth.

You have to install magisk and multiple other things, but I made it work! Google Pay, Netflix, banking apps, work perfectly now. You need to install these modules for magisk:
- Shamiko
- MagiskHide Props Config
- Universal SafetyNet Fix
- If you want to use Google Pay install Gpay SQLite Fix
For props config you want to edit device fingerprint to an android 12 supported devices (i used pixel 5) and force BASIC key attestation (i used pixel 5 again). Then just use denylist on GSF, Play Store (im not sure if its needed) and any other app you want to hide root from. Make sure you disable Enforce Deny List. Then you can clear data from Play Store, GMS, and Google Pay (if you need it). Google Pay might not work immediately (took a couple of reboots to get it to work) and Netflix and other apps might not appear in the Play Store at first.
Good Luck!

Why LineageOS has not built in rooted option as like CM

This is disappointing not to have the root option for Apps in LineageOS. I am using this following 'lineage-13.0-20170224-nightly-mondrianwifi-signed.zip'. I installed openGapps and Lineage Downloader none of the worked without root access. I installed the 'addonsu-arm-signed.zip' and it gives access to apps and adb however neither Gapps or Lineage downloader works. Root checker shows not rooted! I would like the developers should keep as earlier builds in CM. Are we expecting to resolve this issue in upcoimng nightlies or stable release. Thanks.

The root add-ons currently on the download site are for LOS14.1 only, and won't work on LOS13. So it isn't a bug, you just simply flashed an incompatible add-on.
I would guess that the LOS13 variants will be along soon. In the meantime, try Magisk, or PHH Superuser - both open-source alternatives.
Plus you have to allow root by enabling it in the developer options menu.

I don't think SU will ever be incorporated directly into the ROM but the bug for the LOS13 addon is now fixed, so it should soon be available.

Thanks for the link. However I don't see the official release of addonsu for LOS13 in extras in lineage download site. Currently back to CMnightly last version which is pretty stable with root permission. Waiting for the final release of LOS14 for Mondrian WiFi . would be happy if some one develop it in due time. I salute those developers for their relentless effort. Thanks

Download magisk, flash it. Install whatever modules you want from magisk manager (available on playstore) i.e xposes etc.
Enjoy systemless root with no complications. You can also hide root and pass SafetyNet.

Yeah, I don't know why some folks are so obsessed about having official built-in root. Open source solutions such as Magisk or PHH Superuser are just as good, or better.

True and now it's even better because Magisk has it's own root so yeah no need for the seperate PHH Superuser. It's very good and simple now.

Download and install the xposed installer first and download zip through it.
- Install Magisk
- Go to Download section, search for xposed
- Install the xPosed installer for Magisk given in the text link
- Install the suitable framework
works and does not get kicked out by ROM updates.
Xposed doesn't work on miui 10 for our device. It gives bootloop.
I believe SELinux has to be _permissive_

I have seen you referring this microG many times with much admiration. The only microG I know is a small app required to sign in YouTube vanced and the older og YouTube. But of course you are talking about something much more complex. So what is that much useful that microG and fake gapps offer? I predict that it might need a lengthy answer so a summary would be good enough too.

Raptorddd, it is not possible using xPosed modules or framework on MIUI based ROMs. I was merely answering the general question if it can be installed on the Redmi Note 5. That question did not ask for MIUI.
To make that clear once again to all other users:
- MIUI uses a special framework that does not allow working with usual xPosed framwork
- Oreo AOSP and LIneage based ROMs do install and work with xPosed.
I have never used Gapps on my Redmi Note 5. I have microG on all my Oreo ROMs based on AOSP and Lineage. The easiest are Havoc and Aosip, these happen to be the two best ones at this time (for me). I have packed the Google Sync adapters and all microG modules in two zip files that I can flash from TWRP. That way the somewhat tedious installation of microG is vastly simplyfied when changing ROM. Nanodroid in the thread includes items I don't want.

well lets say its a lite version of google play services.. means more battery and also i can feel more responsive and snappier once you remove it. the only thing i log in is my google account for playstore.. microg replaces playservices.. that has like 300 services and and maybe 20 are on. while microg has like 7 or so.. on and less then 20 services..
i just want longer battery and more performance.. with microG that guy said on link that he added the signature to miui 10. i have not tried it yet.. easy way is magisk module or in nougat roms that are deodexed... oreo is odexed so cant patch it.. they are working on a patch that woks on oreo.. also 9.0 pie has problems i assumed rom is deodexed.
Gapps is a major contributor to battery consumption, most of the services are calling home functions that ensure Google gets also the last bit of where you go and what you do. Google Play services ensures this still happening in particular when there are non-Google apps running. Over the years it has been developed from an acceptable application framework to ensure location, notification and app service functions to a heavy prying tool. It is important for Google, which that is why it's force updated.
Google is making app developers disabling apps functioning, if no Google apps are installed, even though the app would work perfectly fine without.
That is where microG comes in. It is a not always a 100% replacement, some apps such as Google maps work only partially with microG, though there are alternatives for almost everything. https://shadow53.com/android/no-gapps/setup-guide/microg/
Tried to flash Xposed today only via Magisk 17.1v
Ended up in bootloop for MIUI 10 Developer ROM.
P.S.- Reflash the same zip via Recovery to uninstall and get out of boot loop
Some are claiming Xposed v90-beta3 is working with MIUI 10 but i've tried and it just results in a bootloop or booting to TWRP.
Has anyone on here had any success with xposed and MIUI 10?
Doesn't work, I tried and it too ended up in bootloop.

[q] Gpay on lineage 19.1

Hey guys, has anyone gotten Gpay to work on lineage 19.1? I have done the following and have had very odd results. Firstly, I am passing safteynet and my device is registered as play certified in Google play store. I'm seeing where sometimes gpay won't open at all and when it does it says it is unable to load my payment methods.
Specs:
OS - linageOS 19.1 (latest build as of this post)
GAPPS - Mindthegapps (latest build as of this post)
Steps taken:
Installed magisk, enabled zygisk and rebooted
Installed magisk hide props module then rebooted
Installed shamiko module then rebooted
Installed universal safteynet fix (zygisk) then rebooted
Configured denylist in magisk checking GPS (all), and Gpay (all) rebooted
Changed device fingerprint with magisk hide props module to a certified one then rebooted
Additional steps taken:
I cleared data from GPS, play store and Gpay and rebooted
I tried a different device fingerprint and rebooted (clearing data like above afterwards and rebooting again)
I have done a complete fresh install of my OS and tried again from scratch.
I also tried seeing is renaming magisk would help at all, it didn't
It appears I'm getting nowhere with this. If anyone has gotten it to work and has some insight it's be greatly appreciated!
Nevermind, looks like it was an issue from having the pixelify module installed as well. After I removed it it started working just fine.

Hey deathblade!
Thanks for helping me out on the other thread.
Just wanted to check in, did you use the official build or the unofficial one with the Pixel Goodies? I'm intending/hoping to have full functionalities of Google Pay using the unofficial build, but from your post it seems that I can't have the Pixel experience if I want the ROM to work with Google Pay?

Not that I've found, however I did notice if you install the pixelify module then uninstall it, it does seem to leave some stuff behind. Like I still have the option to use Hold for me and direct my call. So it might work out where you can install it to get the things you want then remove it to get Gpay working

Ok so here is the breakdown:
Zygisk is not a module, but an implementation method used by modules. Magiskhide props is used to change the device fingerprint to a valid one that registers as protected by google play. Shamiko is for hiding root from Google play services, and Gpay (and whatever other apps may need it). Universal safteynet fix is used to help pass google safteynet checks (security). Not listed is the pixelify module used to add pixel exclusive features but of course with it install it cause havoc on Gpay and other apps so once installed it should be uninstalled.
TLDR
Yes all of them

Nope, I didn't. Other than the modules to hide from banking apps as mentioned above, I installed a pixel launch module here to make it for pixel-like: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/app-mod-pixel-launcher.4442077/
Other than that nothing else.
It doesn't;t work in the sense that it does not pick up music, even popular ones. The settings are there though, I can see them. It just doesn't identify any songs

Question Going back to original (MIUI Global stable) after flashing many custom roms

Hello, guys! I have a question for you; I hope you could help me out with this, I've been looking over the web and couldn't find anything.
First some background.
Right after I bought my POCO F3, I unlocked the bootloader and flashed the xiaomi.eu rom, I stayed there for months, but then I wanted to try some AOSP ROMs, so I flashed crDroid, it wasn't what I was looking for, so I switched to Pixel Experience, I was pretty happy with it but some banking apps didn't work even with Magisk and zygisk and all that stuff, so I tried to flash Pixel OS but their recovery didn't work for me, my last shot was Lineage OS, but it was similar to crDroid, long story short, I decided to go back to MIUI global.
I used the official MiFlash tool and flashed the latest release of MIUI global stable through fastboot.
My concern is the following, after flashing the original rom through fastboot with the option "clean_all" is the phone stays the same as before flashing all that stuff? If not, what should I do?
Somehow I feel like there is a huge mess in the internal memory and I just want to make sure that everything is formatted, cleaned and original, like it never had any custom rom installed before.
If you chose clean all it will be like Brandon new, take note if you leave the bootloader un locked it will not pass google play store of certification, how lame right ,they want you to lock the bootloader, that's why I chose Arrow

You don't need to lock the BL.
Get Magisk, enable Zygisk, and use the Magisk Module "SafetyNet Fix" from GitHub. The Module did the job for me.
Might also work on Pixel Experience. ^^
I'm currently just using Stock MIUI 13.

I already did that in pixel experience, but there was just one banking app that didn't want to work no matter what I try. I really wanted to stay in pixel experience but now that I'm back in MIUI 13 with poco launcher 4 it's not that bad either, at least I have Dolby Atmos, HDR and all that stuff.

Yeah because of Dolby Atmos and MIUI Camera I'm also staying on MIUI. ^^
BTW, just to really make sure, you used Magisk Module "SafetyNet Fix" on Pixel Experience, yes?
You can try deleting the folder "TWRP" if existent (some apps check for that folder, e.g. Mario Kart). You can also try hiding Magisk App (apps also check for that app).

if you want the goodies of MIUI but also to pass safetynet without issues i suggest you to try "xiaomi eu"
they are based on the chinese rom which is ahead in terms of features and bugfixes (specially the beta) and have some optimizations to make the experience better

Tried it.. it's oky... I like Google System Apps more. Call Recording Feature was nice. :v
But unfortunately, GSI's didn't work/boot with Xiaomi.eu (Generic System Images). I like to be able to use GSI's, to try out other new OSes from time to time, Dual Boot sorta. ^^

I've been using crDoid with GPay for months now, through many updates. Works fine with magisk deny list (added only google play and play services) and the modded safetynet fix magisk addon.
Mine works out of the box on ArrowOS 13 (no root)
I use Banko OS 13

I use Bank OS too
I run Evo-X V7.5 Build 6 and i never had issues with any banking apps,
i use Google Wallet, Santander, Natwest, Tescos Wallet, Samsung Pay,
you`ve got the gist, i like banking apps ,
Once you do the normal Magisk (hide your apps and rename ect) and hide the re-named Magisk using SDMaid it works GREAT.
As for a great community, there are very few issues with Evo-X and therefore not that much activity,
Aggelos released a minor update on the "Evox alioth Early release" Telegram channel today.
This ROM is Amazing and comes with "SMART CHARGING",
Happy Days.
