Recovery_ramdisk EMUI 10 with access to patched eRecovery (with TWRP installed on it) - Huawei P20 Lite Guides, News, & Discussion

For those who want keep the erecovery as a fail-safe.
Fully functional on our device except for OTA updates (logical).
If you enter Recovery from TWRP or through the extended reboot menu, it is almost the same as on our EMUI 9.
But if you enter with the Volume Up + Power buttons, then an additional menu will appear from which you can enter other modes:
- Updating via dload method
- Updating from a computer via USB
- eRecovery mode
So you can enter eRecovery even though TWRP is installed on it , that could be very useful.
It works on stock recovery as well as on magisk-patched recovery.
( How to enter magisk-patched Recovery:
Boot into Recovery, when the yellow warning appears on the screen, press and hold Volume Up for ~ 2 sec,
release the button and immediately press and hold again for ~ 2 sec. Repeat it 6-7 times, the device will reboot into Stock Recovery ).

How you did that? I've got the same problem
To enter in stock recovery you must press both volume buttons (if you are on Froyo) or the right lower corner of the screen (if you are on Eclair) when the Android with the exclamation mark appears.
If screen show droid and exclamation mark, you must pressing the Volume button twice to enter Stock recovery menu
use Volume up / down to select and then press the Power button to execute the selected command.

wipe data/factory reset, then wipe cache partition and reboot
After that, access bootloader and flash a new (2.2.2) sbf

Stock Bootloader loop, can't go into recovery mode, tried everything

I wanted to downgrade to 5.0 to unlock the bootloader and install a custom recovery and ROM. Used the official FW from the Asus page, installed it from within the OS (android MM stock). It all went as expected until at the end of the install it rebooted and got into the bootloader screen instead of booting normally. It won't go into recovery.
Phone will NOT turn on with power button + volume down button, not ever.
Power button + volume up does nothing, it turns the phone on just like the power button alone would do.
Once in the stock bootloader if I select [recovery mode] it will simply reset and go back to where I was. I never get the dead android error, it just go back to the bootloader select menu
I get this screen

What can I do? all the tutorials I seen either asume I can get into recovery or use power button + volume down button which in my case doesn't works
Find images of system, ifwi, recovery etc. and fastboot flash them. you can try first with recovery only. the adb command will be "fastboot flash recovery recovery.
img" just search the forum plenty of guides here

I looked at the guides, most require recovery on the phone to work (it doesnt here, just reboots back into the bootloader) and for some reason adb can't find this phone, tried on 2 different computers
BTW I tried with another android phone and adb worked just fine
How is it possible no computer can even tell this phone is connected at all?

Flashed corrupted boot image and now can't can't boot into bootloader or recovery

Hi all.
Did a stupid thing.
I downloaded firmware file for my Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G (SM-G988B) Exynos as an MD5 file and extracted the file which came out as a .img file instead of .lz4 (which I overlooked until the damage was done!).
So not noticing the file was the wrong type, I used 7-Zip to tar it, copied it to my phone's SD card, then patched it with latest Magisk manager app. After this, I copied it back to my laptop and flashed this file using Odin.
Result: Phone goes to insecure boot warning screen but of course here it goes wrong:
It won't proceed to booting up
Power+volume up key combination or power alone do nothing no matter how long you hold them in
It boots to to same insecure boot warning screen if you use either power+volume down, or power+volume down+volume up key combination with cable unplugged. With cable plugged in it restarts to a charging icon, which promptly freezes, and stays on the screen even if you unplug the cable.
I have managed to get it into stock recovery by holding power+volume up+volume down randomly once in a while (usually it goes to insecure boot warning screen as usual), but if I select Reboot to bootloader, it does not manage to open download mode, and hangs on red text that says "entering fastboot mode"
QUESTION: If I can get it back into recovery, is there a way to re-flash stock firmware without download mode on this device using ADB (or any other method)?
Or is my phone a brick for good?
FIXED!
I managed to flash an Android 11 One UI 3.0 Beta via ADB sideload. While it didn't finish properly due to corrupted boot image and possibly not the prerequisite firmware, all was not lost. It ran okay right to the end, when it said "installation aborted".
Once I had got this far Download mode was working again, THANK HEAVENS!
Opened Odin, and flashed away. I'm now back on Stock firmware and didn't even lose my data thanks to the vbmeta_disabled file I flashed in USERDATA section.
Talk about getting out of Jail!

HELP SM-T805 DOESNT BOOT

I TRIED TO FLASH LINEAGE OS WITH TWRP, BUT I DIDN'T EVEN MAKE IT TO THE WIPE STEP! I USED THESE INSTRUCTIONS: https://www.howtogeek.com/348545/how-to-install-lineageos-on-android/ And I made it to Step 4 without any problems. When I pressed the reboot button, however, it said “OS Not Installed” or something. The guide stated that it would automatically reboot to recovery, but it is currently not booting at all. The battery charging icon doesn't even turn off, and it's just stuck on. The only option I have is to use the power button+vol down+home key to enter download mode. When i try to choose the reboot button, as it takes me to the Samsung boot screen, and I'm stuck there unless i press the download mode button again, in after which I'm taken to the battery charging icon AGAIN. I attempted to boot into recovery mode, but it was unsuccessful. Please assist me!
Edit after much searching i finally booted into twrp recovery but when i was doing that i got this error "recovery is not seandroid enforcing". but i could finally get to twrp. the only problem is that when im trying to install crdroid its giving an error a pic of which im attatching. i tried 2 customs roms still dint work...
pls help its very urgent idec about custom rom anymore i just want the official rom but i cant find it online i need the uae version

Hello. I want to ask about entering the SkyHawk recovery, because the key combination, that You supplied only applies to injecting the Magisk to standard Android boot sequence. Pressing the "Power" + "Volume+" key yields the same results every time, leading to replaced "Stock" recovery. Can You explain this? Thank You.

1 question: there is magisk, 25.2, I updated to 26.1, but I'm unable to root with patching the boot.img
.... but Just got to know what Ramdisk: NO does mean from this article:

Rooting your phone is still possible — and fun — these days. Here's how to do it on your Android device.
