Hello,
i have an Samsung Galaxy A40s (SM-A3050) , and i would to install LineageOS to remove GAPPS (Google)
i find only a Rom LineageOs for Galaxy M30,
And i read that the Galaxy M30 is named Galaxy A40s in other country
Samsung Galaxy A40s (Galaxy M30) - Full specs
The Samsung Galaxy A40s is a different beast from the Galaxy A40. It drops the full HD screen for a much bigger battery. It is also sold as the Samsung Galaxy M30 in some countries and regions.

Hi,
Yes, A40s and M30 are almost identical but please do not follow those instructions.
Unlock and root and TWRP are not the same, will need specific builds.

Hello, thank you for your answer.
What do you advise me to do? Because I'm really going to remove all proprietary google services and tools, and use only open-source, currently all my installed applications for my daily use are from F-Droid, but it's not easy to remove google applications and services, so I want to have Lineage OS on my Galaxy A40s.
- Do I have to wait for a Rom to be made for my model ? checking from time to time the topics here and the Official Lineage website ?
- who should I contact to talk to him about it? apparently you are a Galaxy m30 maintainer.
I wish you an excellent day

Hello again,
I inform you that :
- I have unlocked the bios. ( and it is still the case now, I have a message at startup that informs me)
- but could not install TWRP recovery, trying to do so I blocked my phone for several days and then I was able to repair it I think by flashing the recovery and the Samsung stock rom.
For the moment I'm waiting and searching on the forums.

[Q] Newbie Question: Chinese Galaxy S4 i9500 and MIUI ROM?

Hi Guys,
I am new here and not yet allowed to post in all forums and threads.
I got a a Chinese galaxy s4 i9500 and first wanted to install cynogen mod which is not officially supported for my device. But since I used to have a XIAOMI 2A, I love that GUI.
So my QUESTION: Is there an actual MIUI Version for my device (chinese i9500 WCDMA) and how do I install it. Will any of the sensors, like the IR-Sensor be affected, I mean will I still be able to use it ?
Thank you in advance

These are all stock versions from around the world. No root needed.
Where can I learn how to install this new rom?
Thanks for uploading these. Back when I had Galaxy S7, I was able to flash the F firmware on a SKT variant (Korean) S7. I wonder if I can do the same with G965N. Specifically, I'd like to install G965F firmware on G965N. I know that I probably would not flash CSC, Modem, or BL from the F firmware but I at least want to use G965F's system, without tripping KNOX. If anyone had any luck on this, please let me know.
download N version, unzip, no luck odin fail to flash

May security patch for SM-G960U, will pass SafeNet. Yes I know it says Galaxy S9+. Trust me it's not.

Where did you get this? Where is it from? I'm downloading it now, but it will take a few hours.
I didn't upload it but this is the same version Verizon is pushing right now. Works on all US carrier S9's though.
these won't work on F/FD
tried to bypass the eom lock but just couldn't boot up
So How do I go from this to a functionnal, "as new" S9 not in "factory binaries" mode ?
Thanks!

The "unofficial" way would be to install a GSI using a custom recovery. Unfortunately it does not appear that one has been ported to this device.
Thanks a lot for the help
