Huawei P20 Lite Transparent Back Glass - Huawei P20 Lite Themes, Apps, and Mods

Thought I might share my DIY transparent back glass mod for the P20 Lite.
I just removed the back glass and fingerprint sensor and scraped all of the paint with a box cutter and I think it turned out pretty good looking.

Camera vinyl skin or protector?

Does anyone know where I can buy a skin for the camera or a full camera tempered glass, not just the circles?
Sent from my LG-H918 using Tapatalk
Here you can find a camera skin
https://dbrand.com/shop/lg-v20-skins
Slickwraps.com has a skin for the camera as well. You can't buy it separate like you can on dbrand.com but after you factor shipping in... You might as well grab the full skin. Slickwraps seems like they are always having a flash sale so you can grab a full skin at a decent price. That and slickwrap has a sticker for the fingerprint sensor that I don't see on dbrand.com.
I got the matte black from slickwraps. What I ended up doing was tracing the camera skin on another sheet of paper. That way I can either cut plastic covers for the camera lenses myself that will fit in or just over the skin if I cut the circle a little larger. Or you can just cut a larger plastic screen the size of the camera skin itself. I know it's not tempered glass protection but it's something and can look pretty clean if you know how to use some scissors. Maybe I can post a photo of how mine looks later.

replacement glass glued on top of original one ?

yesterday i replaced the glass on my father's samsung s8 curved screen(with uv glue) and it came so nice and smooth and no bubbles on edge, etc just perfect, no pain in the ass with black borders covering a portion of the screen (like glass protectors does with our oneplus 7t). Now i cant just stop thinking what it's stopping me from gluing an oem replacement glass over the actual original glass from my phone? i can just think that it might be too wide and infonfortable (if i can manage to glue it on the edges too ) )
Any thoughts? sorry for my bad english

I bought these. You get two in the pack and it seems to be pretty good quality-wise. I just installed it today and am not currently using the phone, therefore I cannot attest to how well it'll hold up to daily use- but initial impressions are good.
I'll wait for the Whitestone screen protector.

This actually looks good for now. Thanks for sharing!
did someone try a tpu hydrogel film screen protector? I think I will go at the shop where they cut it on demand and fix it on the phone
I use Mocolo UV glass and it is really good. Had it on each of my one plus. It sticks with UV glue and covers the full screen even on the curved edges. It's also really cheap - 9€ in the EU. And it's even better than dome glass as it is harder to break. The only disadvantage is that the attached UV diode is poor. I always use that one from the dome glass.
I went w/ this, and was pleasantly surprised. One caveat, it doesn't have a cutout for the front facing camera.
Interesting install as well - they give you a tab that slots into the USB-C port to hold the film in place while you press it smooth/remove bubbles w/ the included squeege. No spray needed/involved either. Feels good to the touch.

I guess I didn't check all the films. Just noticed when installing the one I was using it wasn't cut for the camera.
It went on so nicely, that I didn't bother to pull it off. Seriously easy, no bubbles, creasing, or rainbowing.
Not sure if I'll keep the OP9P or go to an S21 Ultra, so I wasn't worried about the cutout for now.

This. After not ever trying one before, I bought one last year for my 8 Pro.
Best screen protector hands down, the touch response, protection, and overall quality are just unmatched. Expensive, but worth it
Do we know if white stone is even working on it for this phone? I see no mention of it coming.

Haven't seen any confirmation yet....
I've seen articles that state that with liquid glass screen protectors, you still run a risk of shattering the display itself, as opposed to tempered glass ones, though obviously with the latter you run the risk of the damn thing popping off....
So it's like... you're damned either way, lmao
Easy solution... just don't drop your phone (5head).

LOCA screen protectors are still tempered glass, just glued on.
Or if you want to be the safest just don't use your phone. Leave it in its box and move on. Everything has a level of risks. Temper glass, films or liquid. Whatever makes you feel safer.

Question Should I replace the stock screen protector?

So I was just going to buy a tempered glass protector for my new Poco F3 and then I saw they have one on already. What do you think? Should I just buy a thicker one and replace it or will it be good enough?
I replace it within 5 minutes i got the phone... Bad quality compared to those that is used on s21 series

Oh okay then will do. Thanks a lot man. Hopefully the one I choose isn't that bad.
There isn't a really need to change default screen protector.
Glass screen protectors are a commercial thing. It breaks every time you drop the phone and then makes you buy a new one thinking it protected the phone.
Just change the stock one if you have too many scratches on it. Or if you don't like fingerprints.. I feel it takes it a lot :s if I change, it's for thin plastic film not glass.
I replace the stock screen protector with a tempered glass and now the touch is a lot better. Also the feeling is smoother now. Stock screen protector is cheap.
I replaced mine. The stock screen protector is more vulnerable to scratches than a tempered glass. Mine had some scratches after a few days.

It comes with frame so it's really a piece of cake to put screen protector perfectly in place. I have it, everything ok so far. Oleophobic coat is also here. They also add a back plactick sticker. Nice thing, can cover your glass backplate too.
I just took mine off, screen protectors are kinda useless

The stock screen protector was peeling off in a month for me, so I switched to Gadgetshieldz screen protector which I've been using for 6 months and It is very efficient and gives good protection against scratches.
A good case should be your primary display protection from impact. Slightly raised guards on all sides.
The display needs protection from scratches otherwise it will get scratched. Sand easily scratches any display. Keep the factory one on until it gets ratty and/or you have a replacement.
Hydrocell wet apply TFF ones like Gorilla IQ Sheild work well, are dirt cheap, relatively easy to apply and can last 6+ months.

[Q] Protective film on main camera glass?

Hi, I'd like to ask if Mi 10T Lite has already factory applied protective foil on the main camera glass. I've noticed little weird spot on one corner of camera that looks like peeling off foil. I'm almost sure that this phone has factory applied protective film on screen but I'm not sure if this exist on rear camera as well.
I thought to. But when I look closer I dont see anything , no foil no nothing, just glass. The only protection is the ring around camera that when you put your phone on table, not screech glass
My one had a soft screen cover. Recently I removed it and fitted a glass one. Much smoother action on screen now. Well worth replacing.
