This matches module also kept your frame rate to 60 FPS or 120 FPS if supported.
Personally tested this on several Exynos devices and you can also tested for snapdragon and other chipset devices hope it works for you.
This module replaces your device model and device name so that game remembers as this is a high-end device and the options are well for the high-end devices as you already know.
Sure just scared of change the device model and name you can just remove this matches module and your whole device name and model will be restored immediately after reboot.

no not at all. BECAUSE its only performance tweak

Wooohoooo thanks so much! I'm getting stable 120 fps on my OnePlus 9 Pro. This is what I call flagship level call of duty!

Just out of curiosity. Did you get banned and both ultra fps or ultra graphics at the same time are not possible?

[TOOLS] Screen ColourControl, Camera Enhancements, Screen Density, Boot Anim + MORE!

GALAXY NEXUS PHONE MODS
This is all part of the Galaxy Nexus ToolKit but I have made a new Thread for people who may not have noticed it, people who didnt need the ToolKit but may find some of the Mods useful or just people who want to talk about the Phone Mods specifically.
FUNCTIONS OF THE PHONE MODS SECTION V1.4 [GSM + LTE][13TH MARCH 2012]
Change the Screen Density (DPI)
CWM Recovery, Only 1 No in the Confirmation Screen
Camera Sounds (Disable/Enable Camera Shutter, Video Camera Shutter, Focus)
Camera Enhancements (Increase Video Bitrate, Sound Bitrate, Photo Quality)
Change WiFi Scan Interval (Time between scanning for new Wifi Access Points)
Startup Boot Animation Screen (Disable/Enable which affects Boot Time)
Screen Colour Control (Change Gamma Offset and Colour Multiplier)
--------------------------------------------------------------
DOWNLOAD
The Phone Mods are part of the Galaxy Nexus ToolKit. You can download the latest version *HERE* (no need to install drivers if you already have adb/fastboot drivers installed) and select option 18 in the Main Menu to enter the Phone Mods Section.

--------------------------------------------------------------
USAGE
STOCK ROM users will need to enter the Mods Section via the Galaxy Nexus ToolKit as most functions need an insecure boot image which is set up from the Model Selection Screen of the ToolKit. If you are running a CUSTOM ROM (with insecure boot image) then you can run the ModsSection.exe directly if you wish.
ALL Mods Section functions require you to be booted into Android and connected to the PC via usb with adb/fastboot drivers installed. If you havent done this already then refer to the Galaxy Nexus ToolKit Thread for setup instructions.
The Galaxy Nexus ToolKit and Mods Section are very tightly integrated and so is impossible to seperate the 2 parts unless I want to cut out Stock Rom users (which I dont) so please dont ask if I can split them up. I could but its just not worth it.
Lastly if you have any ideas for functions that can be added to the Mods Section or just want to discuss a particular function then feel free.

Hmm, I like the idea of being able to disable the boot animation, and I'll give the camera improvements a go and report back.
I've always tried to beat something into my geeks when I'm teaching IT classes, and that's the idea of "Do it right, make it easy". You sir, have done a great job at putting together this toolkit in a way that makes things simple, and with great documentation. Nice work!

Thank you im sure your geeks learn alot from you lol
Disabling the boot animation knocks about 5 seconds off the bootup time and there are a few Roms with not very desirable graphics lol.
Please do report back I always welcome any feedback and ideas for additions.

What Rom and kernel are you using?
Are you booted into Android and connected via usb cable before starting?
I dont know where the fast usb charge option is but as the previous user posted you can try to disable that and try again.
Also if you go back into the main ToolKit are you seeing the serial number under adb at the top?
Mark.

I do want to have versions of the ToolKit for Mac and Linux if I can get some testers and/or people who can help me convert the scripts. Im guessing most of the scripts should work fine as they are just adb/fastboot commands but there may be differences with pauses and some search replace routines.
Do linux bash scripts work on unix?
Mark.
Wow.. that's more handy..
Thanks for the nee options being included in your tool..

I also would like to know this. Very intriguing. Also, what are the chances of it screwing up the camera app? (Considering custom roms have modified versions)

The enhancement does exactly what it states on the screen when you select option 4 in the phone mods section:
This mod focuses on the media_profiles.xml file in the /etc/ folder on your phone.
The x2 Quality Settings doubles the standard camcorder bitrate for 480P, 720P and 1080P [8M, 16M, 24M] as well as change the quality settings for the camera to 100, 85, 75 [from 95, 80, 70] and the memcap setting to 25000000.
The Medium Quality Settings push the camcorder bitrate up even more for 480P, 720P and 1080P [10M, 20M, 35M] as well as change the quality settings for the camera to 100, 85, 75 [from 95, 80, 70] and the memcap setting to 30000000.
The High Quality Settings push the camcorder bitrate up to the max for 480P, 720P and 1080P [14M, 30M, 50M] as well increase the Audio bitrate up to 128k and increase the Audio channels to 2. The duration setting has also been changed to 60 from 30 for the above formats. All the quality settings for the camera have been forced to 100 and the memcap setting has been pushed up to 40000000.
These 3 profiles are for testing and I hope you get improvements using them but if you want to you can customize either of them from the mods folder and push them back to your phone.
Click to collapse
As for proof that the mod works I havent taken tests shots/videos with each mod but the stock bitrates for the camcorder are a bit low so increasing it can only benefit the quality of the captured image. Whether the highest setting is neccessary or not doesnt really matter as it is upto the end user to decide if they prefer it but I would definitely recommend applying at least the 2x setting .
frenccw said:

I put a compulsory backup step in every mod section so that even on custom roms the original file can be saved to your computer before it is altered and pushed back if you dont like the changes. There is absolutely no chance of screwing up the camera app as only bitrates and quality settings are altered.

A NAND backup isnt needed as the file to be altered has to be backed up by the ToolKit in order to proceed so it can be easily and safely restored if the user wants to.

Does noone bother reading my posts properly lol
If you read my above post the camera quality (stills) is pushed up by pushing the modded settings.
The 2x and medium profiles pushes the 3 quality values of stills upto 100, 85 and 75 (instead of 95, 80, 70). The high quality profile pushes all 3 values upto 100 (meaning there is no compression in the images taken).
Mark.

A User Review
Ajay GovindMay 24, 2012 3:15 AM
A9 is a great phone. I am using it for past one week. Bought it from local store in Mumbai for Rs. 9200. So far..No problem...everything is great.
Pros:
- Camera 5MP produces great pictures, even in the dark. You can record video with the flash on in the dark. Quality is decent.
- Front camera is good to have
- Processor 1GHz...It has reasonable speed.
- Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Many software/apps to download from Google Play Apps. Plays Adobe flash, pdf, Office, Hindi text, Siri, Voice assistant.
- Flashlight
- Screen resolution and body quality is good.
- Tethering, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth works fine...
- Has Accelerometer.
- GPS Maps
Cons:
- Battery, though 1600mah (larger than most Smartphones in the market), is still weak to support features. It drains out within 7-8 hours..I guess that is with every phone.
- PC suite, manuals, Phone accessories (such as Scratch Gurad, Case, Cover, etc) are not available yet..
- Display goes blank when calling or receiving calls. You have to press power button to wake up the screen. (After investigating, I found, this problem exist in almost all smartphones). May need to install Screebl.
- No Gyroscope. Compass will not work..
- Sound quality is fair (could have been better & louder), but sometimes it seems Mono when loud, due to speakers at the back of handset.
- Qwerty keypad during calls & SMS does not rotate to landscape by default...Need to install Go SMS & other Go Apps to make it work.
- Available only in White colour.
- Few service centers.
Overall, its a great buy. It blows off all the phones in the market with the similar specs...specially in Price...Any other phone with this spec would cost around 14k. But this one comes for Rs. 8999 from Infibeam. Adexmart show Rs. 8590 but is out of stock there.
I would recommend everyone who wants to buy this phone. Yes..it is not branded like Nokia, Samsumg, HTC, but looks like a solid phone having acceptable quality & performance. I am sure Karbonn will try to improve their support and will give tough competition to other phones..just like Micromax already has..
Hope this helps others in their buying decisions.

I also bought this phone replacing my spice mi350, karbonn A9 its better phone in its league, much better than sammy's galaxy y duos in every aspect. battery life seems good to me,15hrs with both sim active normal use still 41% remaining...my rooted custom rom spice mi350 used to last for 2 days .A9 lacks options for managing dual sim calls, messages. even go sms pro dont detects it as dual sim, which I miss. but skype with video call is supported, besides that everything is fine. I would recommend this phone!!

This fone has spec's of the mobiles in 15k to 17k range.
Galaxy ACE or ACE+ lacks many features this mobile has.
How is the stock launcher and touch, as some say touch is not very sensitive? is it true?

we need someone to develop a CM7 for this mobile
it has so much potential
Sent from my Dell Venue using xda premium
I will develop
I will develop, if i get my answers..
How is touch sensitivity in this mobile?
and
Do we get all necessary softwares with the mobile?
or get them free at service center?
(I need PC suite, ROM backup software & other related software to develop CUSTOM ROMs for this mobile).

touch sensitivity is decent & acceptable, one of my friend got galaxy y duos. I found A9 display, reso. and touch superior to Y duos. I think stock Rom is not well cooked, a bit unstable at times. another of my friend who bought this phone yesterday after looking mine has random reboots 2-3 times since purchase(this may be due to some app). overall build quality is very decent. I may arrange stock rom if you can mod that. as this phone has potential if paired with good rom. this is phone from Chinese manufacturer called K-Touch & model may be W680. we dont get anything like pc suite, drivers etc with it.
I would suggest if you like it go for it!!!

Excellent info on this.
Thats what we wanted the original name of the mobile.
As for the reboot issue, I had the same in my A8
This is how I solved it--
The screen time out that we set in the mobile to put the mobile on standby after a certain period. Make it to manual or 30 mins (most preferred you put your mob on standby yourself) this will solve the reboot issue.
Settings>display>Timeout> 30 Mins or MAX what is there.
It worked for me, but you can try and revert.
Its a cooked ROM so chances are it will work.
Dictionary installation & Drivers
This is what I found:
http://www.utisoft.com/live-dictionary/for-mobile-phone/compatible-mobiles/i-4396-k-touch-w680/
Drivers:

Various Downloads:
http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=zh-CN&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.k-touch.cn%2F
Its a Chinese site so make sure you use proper translation
Make sure the drivers are right for this handset. Not sure if they are same.

Proximity Problem Suggestion
Can't we disable the Proximity sensor option in Karbonn A9? (please search for such settings in phone )
Some tips i got from internet:
1) You can disable the proximity sensor. After you attend the call, you press lock button to lock the screen. After the call ends, Press Lock button again.
2)Hit volume up or down and it should turn your screen on while in a call? Quick fix maybe..
3) Some people asked to try Screebl Lite app.
Try this App and tell whether Proximity Sensor is the actual problem or not!!

Samsung Galaxy A71 Working MODs

Hello, XDA Community!Welcome to my thread, where I'm testing out quite a few things for the Galaxy A71. My end goal is to make a ROM or IMG that can be flashed that contains all these MODs I'm testing, but right now I'm finding it a bit difficult to actually build a working IMG to flash.
So, I guess I can use this thread as a log of things I'm testing out and for anyone who wants to try them out too, you are very welcome to use them. So, here are a few things that I've tested:
Code:
Your warranty is now void.
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about any of the modifications
* in this thread! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. HARD!
Floating_Feature edits! These are features you can add in floating_features, which is located in system(root)/vendor/etc
Add full edge lighting features:
Search for the following line in floating_features:
Code:
<SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_COMMON_CONFIG_EDGE>
And remove the '-basic_lighting' line. It should look something like this
Before:
Code:
<SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_COMMON_CONFIG_EDGE>people,task,circle,panel,-edgefeeds,edgelighting_v2,debug,cornerR:6.2,search,phonecolor,dot_bottom[COLOR="Red"],-basic_lighting[/COLOR]</SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_COMMON_CONFIG_EDGE>
After:
Code:
<SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_COMMON_CONFIG_EDGE>people,task,circle,panel,-edgefeeds,edgelighting_v2,debug,cornerR:6.2,search,phonecolor,dot_bottom</SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_COMMON_CONFIG_EDGE>
Activate Dolby Atmos without earphones:
This is taken from the tutorial here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77100856&postcount=404 but simplified for the A71
Add the following line in floating_features:
Code:
<SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_AUDIO_SUPPORT_DUAL_SPEAKER>TRUE</SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_AUDIO_SUPPORT_DUAL_SPEAKER>
Search for the following line:
Code:
<SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_AUDIO_CONFIG_SOUNDALIVE_VERSION>
It should say something like the following:
Code:
eq_custom,uhq_level,karaoke,adapt,dvfs_700000
Replace it with (these were taken from S9+):
Code:
eq_knob,eq_custom,uhq_switch,uhq_level,adapt,spk_stereo,dvfs_860000,tube,concert
Save, reboot and you should now be able to activate Dolby Atmos without earphones
Show music information (now playing) in AOD:
Search for the following line in floating_features:
Code:
<SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_FRAMEWORK_CONFIG_AOD_ITEM>
Delete "musicoff" from that line
Code:
<SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_FRAMEWORK_CONFIG_AOD_ITEM>aodversion=7,clearcoveroff[COLOR="Red"],musicoff[/COLOR]</SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_FRAMEWORK_CONFIG_AOD_ITEM>
Save and reboot. You will now see the song information in AOD when it's playing
Add AOD to lockscreen clock animation:
Note: This only works on OneUI 2.5, does not work on OneUI 2.1 and below for A71.
Search for the following line in floating_features:
Code:
<SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_FRAMEWORK_CONFIG_AOD_ITEM>
Add clocktransition in this line, like this:
Code:
<SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_FRAMEWORK_CONFIG_AOD_ITEM>aodversion=7,clearcoveroff[COLOR="Lime"],clocktransition[/COLOR]</SEC_FLOATING_FEATURE_FRAMEWORK_CONFIG_AOD_ITEM>
Save and reboot. Done, there will be an added animation from AOD to lockscreen clock.
Camera-feature edits! These are features you can add in camera-features, which is located in system(root)/system/cameradata
Add Pro Video:
Tested in OneUI 2.1. Add the following line under the SHOOTING_MODE lines:
Code:
<local name="SHOOTING_MODE_PRO_VIDEO" back="PRO_VIDEO" enable="true" more="true" [COLOR="Yellow"]order="10"[/COLOR]/>
Make sure your order=## doesn't affect the other existing lines. If your last mode said order="9", change pro_video to "10". If the last one said "11", change pro_video to "12" and so on and so forth
Reboot and you should have pro video on your shooting options
Add 60fps video recorder (1080p):
Tested in OneUI 2.1. Search for the following line:
Code:
<local name="BACK_CAMCORDER_RESOLUTION_FEATURE_MAP_1920X1080"
Under it, add the following line:
Code:
<local name="BACK_CAMCORDER_RESOLUTION_FEATURE_MAP_1920X1080_60FPS" value="true" hdr="true" hdr10="false" preview-size="1920x1080" snapshot-support="true" snapshot-size="4624x2604" vdis="false" effect="false" object-tracking="false" seamless-zoom-support="false" external-storage-support="true"/>
Reboot, go to video settings and you should now see the option to set resolution to FHD (60fps)
Note: For 60fps to work, you have to disable video stabilization. If it is activated, your video will not record (it will just record a bunch of nonsense, like black and white screens).
Edit: Updated line, it now disables video stabilization by default to avoid issues.
Enable second editing in Singe Take:
Tested only in OneUI 2.5. Search the following line:
Code:
<local name="SINGLE_TAKE_USING_SINGLE_LENS_ONLY" value="true" />
Under it, add the following line:
Code:
<local name="SUPPORT_SINGLE_TAKE_EXTENDED_CAPTURE" value="true" />
Save, reboot and you should now be able to switch how many seconds you want single take to last. From 5 seconds all the way up to 15 seconds
If you guys have any edits I should add, let me know. Feel free to give suggestions or edits you've done yourself, even in build.prop
Thanks!

If you guys have done any edits, let me know so I can add them and we can keep them all in the same thread
Nice to see someone doing these mods!
Is there any way to enable system blur in our A71? I mean blur in app drawer, folders, recents, blur options in goodlock etc.

Native blur. It may be possible, probably will need to swap out some libs and quite possibly have to port flagship firmware.
It'll take me quite a while before I can port something like an S20 ROM, because system works a little differently.
Who knows, will try sometime in the future.

Thanks for your effort and wish you good luck with your projects! I'll try your mods or rom in the near future.
Edit: I don't think you need to port a flagship fw, e.g. A90 isn't a flagship but it has native blur because of snap 855. Samsung just didn't add it for A71 because of "performance" but I doubt it'll be a problem for snap 730.

Well, what I meant to say actually is that I would need to port a ROM from a device that already has blur, like of course you mentioned the A90.
This is because sometimes, blur is not just dependent on libs, it also depends on certain framework methods
Samsung is known to completely rip them out of mid-range devices, so it's likely that A71's stock framework has it disabled by default and I would need to completely port the system from another device with blur.

It can't be done with adb as far as I know. You need root and a root explorer app that will let you do these modifications on the files specified.

Got it! Thank you for the fast reply!
ShaDisNX255, these are exactly what I was looking for, thank you!
Last thing is is there anyway to get slow-motion in 1080p from back camera instead of 720p?
It's ridiculous because the selfie camera allows slow-motion in 1080p, and the back doesn't. If this is possible, that would fulfill all camera wishes!

Sorry to say, I just tried to change slow motion to 1080p and recording fails, it's not capable by doing simple edits. Would probably need more in-depth modding, which I am not capable of doing.

Are you maybe in touch with other devs?
Technically A71 should be capable to record slow motion in 1080p as even older A70 was.

No, I don't speak with other devs. I don't invest a lot of time on this and am too lazy to look for help anywhere else. If I can get it to work, great. If not, then oh well I just move on.
I don't really feel like looking through A70 firmware and/or looking through custom ROMs to see what can make it work. I personally just leave it as as and move on, something like slow motion recording isn't that much worth my time, in my opinion.
Any other user is free to do the research themselves if it's something they truly want, they have all my support
Other than that, I can do no more for this.
That is ok, I am very grateful for what you have already done Stay safe!

Does it rely on AOSP or CAF or LOS?
Does it support Sunlight mode?
Does it support Wifi Coverage Extend Option?
Does it support whitelisting apps from dark mode?
Does it support MIUI Camera with the same stock 48MP quality?
Does it support adjusting freeform windows despite the manifests?
Does it support skipping unlocking the device with a PIN after a reboot
Does it support invert-nav-bar (force close back button)?
Does support Game Mode?
Does it kill apps in the background for just switching between them?
Does Mi sound work for wireless and wired headphones?
Does it support pop-up?
Does it show internal shared adopted storage on TWRP?
And does it have ADB over network/NTFS File format/Soft Reboot/Advanced Power Menu/Quick actions via pop-up notifications.
If it does all of these, I will pay the time and effort to change into your ROM even though I only have one phone and despite that I need to resetup Magisk and Edxposed and System Settings.
Good luck with development

And does it have ADB over network/NTFS File format/Soft Reboot/Advanced Power Menu/Quick actions via pop-up notifications.
If it does all of these, I will pay the time and effort to change into your ROM even though I only have one phone and despite that I need to resetup Magisk and Edxposed and System Settings.
Good luck with development

Cann you stop with the bombarding of questions on every single post you make.
Stick with Stock MIUI.
DO NOT install a custom ROM.
Great rom! Thanks!|

Aggressive power management like that is generally frowned upon. And if the ROM does that you will probably shout "Ser my music stopping after switch app and alarm not works too please fix!!!!!!!!!!" at the dev.

And you're not the dev to talk on behalf of the dev to make fun of me while I want just for them to develop the ROM for better user experience.
Melt in your hatred and don't expect from me to make you whole again.

Well, the moral of the story is, if you want to know what features a rom packs, then try it. Stop asking 69 questions and expect me to write an essay just to answer to you. It's impolite and incoherent. The answers you got are the ones your question deserves. And, as I saw, you do this on multiple threads.
To somewhat answer to you, Awaken is a highly customizable rom, I guess most of the features one wants are there.

And is it polite to force someone to try something before find proofs on what is on the something denying the fact that he has only one phone to test and it's hard to set the phone each time just for seeing what is inside another brand ROM. I have to see good reasons before believing in the ROM. This is logistian way. I'm not fancier to make me believe before finding the proofs.
And what is wrong with writing an essay when you are going to help me with instead of hardening stuff?

Did I point a gun at you and yelled "flash my ROM"? I guess not, so no, I didn't force you. When you dive in to custom roms, it's about trying things. I spend time and energy in making the rom, you can spend some of these, since you're interested in it, to try it. Yes I'd like to help you, but I'm not going to spoon-feed you. If you read the main post, it already mentions many of the features. Also, I would write an essay for something which would require it, not to give an exhaustive list of every single point of a rom to anyone who demands it, that's not how it works. I'm doing this as a hobby in my free time, I'm not an employee. And as a last point, I've been a flash-o-holic and tester for the last couple of years and I don't remember my life getting ruined because the rom I flashed lacked a feature I wanted. I found some good backup methods and created a backup/restore flow which worked fast and easy to save my time switching.
I made a mistake.

There's a probability it comes back, but I can't say with certainty.
Got my first touch on Android 12 with this wonderful ROM and I think it should not stay so far from the first page. I'm running it since yesterday and it performs quite nice so far.
I'll leave the direct link here (since community seems a little lazy):
Awaken a12 Luna (vanilla only)

Thank you. I found it works great. Now we have one option other than LOS for nora. nora was not abandoned (lol)! Where is android_device_motorola_nora? I cannot find it.
Edit: What I noticed is about data connection. Phone and SMS seems okay but internet access via SIM does not work. Is it my personal issue?

I will confirm your problem with the mobile network later.

I flashed the ROM on my device today and most things seem to be working fine, inclidung mobile internet. However I'm having the exact same video/audio recording issues that I had with the LineageOS ROM for Nora. (see here https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-e5-nora-recovery-64bit.4235721/post-85658449 )
I have noticed both ROMs use the same kernel. Could that be the issue and does anybody know who to contact to make the issue known?

Yes, I checked both the default app and used Open Camera. The problem is exactly the same in both cases. I have also found that the problem only seems to start appearing after you turn off the phone for the first time. Still worked fine on the very first boot up and generally I think the phone might have to be running for a while (15 mins or so) for the problem to appear.
I also took a quick look at the gitlab link for the vendor files and as the most recent commit it mentions "Nuke useless camera blobs". Any chance those blobs might not have been all that useless after all?
Edit: the gitlab also says something like "Lineage 17.1" at the top, so I assume those vendor files are also shared between both ROMs?

@G.Kart or anyone else who might know: Do you think the missing camera blobs innthe vendor files might be a probable or at least possible explanation of the issue? If so, is it possible to just flash an older version of the vendor files on the current device or would that require a reset or recompiling of the whole ROM?

This one produces completely broken videos (photos are fine). I can only find them in the gallery app (not in VLC) and play them in neither.

The camera in devices where it usually fails with that camera is fixed but in your case I do not know what is happening
for other models the camera works so the blobs are not the problem (or at least I don't think so)

If I'm reading the gitlab correctly, it's only nora that seems to have some camera blobs removed. The commit is only mentioned in the nora folder.
If it's easy to put in the old vendor files, I'm willing to give it a shot either way, but I'm not sure what would be the correct way to do that.

Need rebuild
That's unfortunate. I did manage to narrow down the problem quite a bit more though which might also help with reproducing it. The problem actually doesn't occur with the first reboot, as I first suspected, but rather it occurs after you turn off the screen/put the phone to sleep.
So immediately after you boot up the phone the camera still records video fine (sometimes the app crashes after reboot though and cannot be opened, another reboot fixes it). But after you put the phone to sleep by pressing the power button (probably also if it goes to sleep automatically) the discrepancy starts showing up. So if you put your phone to sleep for five minutes and record a two second video, the resulting video will be 5:02 with the sound at the beginning and video at the end. If you put the phone to sleep again, the video length of the next video increases by about the same amount.
So the video length = actual video length + (time phone has been asleep since last reboot - 10 seconds or so). If you only put the phone to sleep for a few seconds, the discrepancy doesn't start yet, it has to be asleep for ~10 seconds or more.
So if anyone has the same device, they can try reproducing it by booting up the phone, taking a 5 second video, putting the phone to sleep for a few mins and then taking another 5 second video. The second video should then be of excess length.
So my guess would be that either the audio recording and video recording functionalities use different variables for timekeeping in the first place (time active vs time turned on) or that putting the phone to sleep kills some sort of time keeping functionality (maybe to conserve battery?) that the audio recording relies on while leaving the video equivalent untouched or vice versa.
Additional information: This is the crash report I got when the camers app crashed on me before I even opened it the first time (usually doesn't happen). Not sure if it's related to the other bug or whether there's a pattern behind the crashing:

These are some error reports I got when trying to record a video with "Simple Camera App" from.the F-Droid store. Also not sure if it's related because that app doesnt even work for taking pictures.

The default app, Open Camera and Focal all record photos and videos, but the videos all have the length/timekeeping problems. The app you that was linked here also crashed when trying to take a video.
