They posted it on their site and stated it's for TW only. WTF is TW? Global room is WW, origin Chinese is CN. And you must keep the same SKU.
Anyone?

If I get a concise reply, I will let you know.

Considering Asus shoddy history of bugged updates, this one is surprisingly solid, no issues yet.

Got an official reply from Zentalk forum.
WW users can flash the TW version. But I am not sure if you can go back to WW...I think it should be possible.

Still waiting for RAW. Hopefully it'll be soon

Ok, i have updated my phone today. Root still exist, entire update last about 1 minute. Everything works fine. We will see in a couple of days how bad this update is

I upgraded to A11, too.
Seems to run well so far. Better than A10 so far.

Broken 120hz. Was iffy not sure was the update or always been like that, messed with sleeping phone then suddenly ok....

still no update for RAW >.>

With a ww fingerprint, can I use manual update to update my Tencent phone to this version from a10 or do I need to use raw?

Updated link for CN.

Been almost half a year but RAW never came out :*(

True, I've been waiting for RAW too. I'm still on an early version of A9, pretty bad. maybe i should raw flash to A10.

There we go, its eating battery like crazy How do I fix it my friend?
Big amount of users from 4pda report that they don't have troubles with battery.
My phone is running Stable 8.2.3.0 MAGCNDL for a couple of weeks and it's more stable than previous version, at least when I take screenshot, the preview doesn't super-fast-blink.
Hence that my mom phone (Mi 5) has been running that version for about 2 months before my phone was updated. Yes, it's a stable version, not nightly or any kind of experiment...
If your device is rooted, freeze the app com.qualcomm.qti.biometrics.fingerprint.service
If not, try disabling any kind of unlock with fingerprint and delete all saved fingerprint.
After using it since Friday, its a pretty nice update. I liked the new quick toggles animation and the overall smoothness is improved.
i have it on my mi 5s and is good.
I prefer custom ROM like LineageOS because, even if it is official, it is less complete and usable
Hi guys, mi5s on 8.0.3.0 here. Should I flash this or should I wait until the ota comes?
You should wait. There are chances that the version we will get might be 8.2.3.0 (or similar) which includes a few more fixes to found issues.
have you read something about when it will be released?

Regarding update firmwares you can get them from ASUS support page all of them will stay there when they are added. So no need to upload them somewhere else. Unless someone else would like to share the files, i would be happy to add the links to the first page.

Personally i love the Oreo Rom on the ROG more than the Pie Rom of the ROG 2, overall i think the Oreo Rom is polished compared to the half baked Pie Rom. The physical size of the ROG phone is just perfect in hand compared to the ROG 2. Other than that they are pretty much a like except for the obvious hardware differences. I was thinking of selling the ROG since i got the ROG 2 but i am keeping both until something better comes a long and then i might sell the ROG phone. But to be honest out of all the phones that i have bought and used these 2 phones are my favorite.

You can check the photos it's for the CN rom. I am still on the stock CN rom. I haven't tempered with the phone yet waiting to see if flashing the WW rom will still get updates.
But if someone has flashed the WW rom over the CN and still not able to get OTA it doesn't necessarily mean he will not get OTA, generally speaking the CN rom gets faster updates than the WW rom.

Hello,
the CN version is full of Chinese apps as you can realize... there are the themes, yes and also several additional eye-candies but the user experience is really poor for the CN language. Also with that, no updates...
I guess the best it will a custom rom with the spoofed fingerprint to get security patches at least.

WW rom 1910.35 FOTA update

https://mega.nz/#!w0ZHjA6I!hrKmMca42c5798fuqCWZgM8Vcl5V6TAQsHipLhpjC5o
Here we go, WW update, latest rom for us! Thanks to chicken on the Vietnam telegram group. I'll post more later when I get home regarding magisk etc.
For now though, place in root of the storage and restart. But hang fire of you're rooted and want to remain so, I'll post instructions later, unless of course you know what you're doing. I just want to check magisk via ota method works before I post in detail here...
Changelog
WW 1910.35
Added grid display for game selection in the Games Library of Armoury Crate
Added game cover customization in*the Games Library of Armoury Crate
Added AirTriggers slide gesture in Game Genie (Beta)
Fixed the issue where navigation bar couldn't be hidden when playing "Black Desert"
Fixed the issue where Game Genie panel was pulled out easily when Key Mapping was used
Update with root : I was running magisk 20.1 prior to updating. After placing ota in root of internal storage and rebooting, system update should be detected. Click to install. Once completed don't restart the device, just choose 'later', then go to magisk manager and choose install. Then choose install ota. After that, reboot and you should have a fully updated and working latest rom with latest magisk still intact
Root and stock boot img's should you need...

Umm, good question! I just posted the changelog, not sure what it allows to do. Will have a Google etc later if I get a chance...
Perhaps, for instance, when going around corners in a car racing game the slide option allows gradual increase in steering? But that's a complete guess at this point!
Thanks. Btw anyone using Paypal or Bank apps? Not working after rooting right?

1. Have you had any updates without forcing them?
2. These updates are early releases from CN or Taiwan or Vietnam (somewhere along those lines) and the updates for eu and India market will no doubt get released at some point in the future from the main asus website.
3. Although you may have bought a device with WW rom installed, doesn't mean the fingerprint has been changed. You can check with device info hw from playstore. You'll find, under system, your product id and rom plus fingerprint, they all need to match.
4. That said, even then I'm not sure (if they do all match) you'll get the updates without manually installing them. I can't say for sure as I always download the early bird releases from Vietnam telegram group. I've never waited to see if updates to indeed happen automatically here in UK...
Hope some of this helps...

1. Yes, I've gotten the .21 update which is the only one that has come out since I bought the phone.
2. I thought so too, just need to confirm.
3. It's an official Indian variant from Asus, so fingerprint mismatch is unlikely. I think it's just that .25 was never officially released, and I'll probably get .35 soon. Hopefully!
Thanks for your help.

.21 was an official release. .25 still hasnt been updated on the Asus Bios firmware page, so I assume it wasnt official. .35 still hasn't been updated on the Asus Bios firmware page, so its still not available. If you have a genuine WW phone (like my North American WW bought from B&H) then just download, put in the root directory, and reboot the phone to install.

Which is the best version of the Pie firmware?

Hello there!
I'm still running the old Oreo firmware on my note 5 pro (global), but I've been having some issues and I feel its time for a reinstall.
However as far as I can see, every ROM under the sun requires the "new" (well, its not new anymore) Pie firmware, and as I understand it, that firmware brings a slight downgrade in battery life among other things, but it seems to depend upon which version is installed.
So, which version of the Pie firmware is considered the best as of now in terms of performance/battery and all that jazz.
Any advice would be very appriciated!

I've used many firmwares but 9.4.25 is best for me bcoz it shows correct battery specification while charging (4000 mAh)

You should not lose your warranty (at least in Europe bootloader unlocking won't void it).
I would suggest you to make yourself familiar with flashing in general (adb, fastboot, tools, rom formats etc.) before you attempt something.
Recovery Android 11 EU ROM, flashing from TWRP works fine. Notification LED is finally clearly visible with the latest ROM.

It was the same for me, so I just flashed recovery ROM from TWRP (at first from 12.0.8.0 to 12.0.9.0 and then to 12.0.1.0). It should work with locked bootloader and stock recovery as well (some extra steps like renaming file to "update.zip" and putting it to the root of SD card, or using ADB sideload might be necessary).

I think the A11 EEA Recovery ROM got released but you have to be a Beta tester? Something to do with pilots lol
So hopefully that means there will be a full 11 rollout soon
I thought that EU Andoid 11 version is stable, but it seems to be really only beta as mentioned on 4pda. There are some misalignments in message notifications and phone crashed quite nastily once (had to reboot it 5 times until it finally fully started). RAM usage seems to be a bit too high as well resulting in more app redraws/reloads than necessary. I hope that fixed version will be out soon.
And the very same file is out as official "beta stable" now..

2. after successful internal testing, it goes to closed beta
3. after closed beta it goes to public beta
4. if there are no (major) issues, the very same version is released to public in batches as "stable beta" (recovery ROM)
5. if there are no (major) issues, the very same version is released to public in batches as "stable" and fastboot ROM is released as well
So I believe that what we've seen is that "public beta" V12.0.1.0.RJSEUXM became "stable beta" and will transition to "stable" in the coming weeks. However when exactly is it going to hit your phone is impossible to tell, they chose phones by country + some random parameters. Manual installation is probably the best way how to have the latest ROM version.
искам да попитам моя сензор за близост на светлина работи тук спира и го няма никъде В настройките Как да настроя това, за да поправя моля помогнете I'm sorry to write exactly This may not be the topic But I'm still with my ten lite and the sensor doesn't work andЗа съжаление there is no slider for incoming calls where to set it there are a lot of truncated functions why? Sorry I want to ask my light proximity sensor works here stops and is nowhere In the settings How to adjust this to make a fix please help

Exactly this version is now arriving on my German stock phone as an OTA update today. The phone is new and I had never participated in any beta program or anything like that. Thus it should be stable production right now. Is this true?
Did I get this right? Xiaomi is not differentiating beta-version numbers from stable version numbers? In other words: I cannot differentiate the release train between a beta and a stable channel from looking at the version number?
Thank you!

Yes, it seems to be considered as a "stable" now.
And yes, there is no difference in the version number between beta/stable. ROM is not being re-released, it's always the same ROM with the same download link and with the same hash. Beta/stable beta/stable is just a naming convention which changes over time. There is no special beta channel in a traditional sense as you might be used to from PC/ mobile applications.

Thank you, _mysiak_! This is more clear now.
What is disappointing for me is, that now, after I have thoroughly decided to install the OTA update, it has disappeared again and is no longer found by the Xiaomi updater. How strange.
Maybe there were bugs and it is set back to beta status?
You probably never know the algorithms how Xiaomi distributes updates...
Maybe they just save bandwidth right now. ;-)

I've read exactly that explanation - if you don't install the update when it's received, your "slot" is released after few hours/days and offered to someone else. It is supposed to save bandwidth and prevent overload of Xiaomi servers. But I have no idea if it's really true..
So the update will shortly be arriving now as stable update via phone updater. If someone has a link when it arrives you should put it here
