Themes / Apps / Mods [Magisk] Google Assistant button remapper mod - Sony Xperia 10 III

This is a Magisk module that remaps the Google Assistant button as a camera button, made for Magisk 20.4+ and stock vendor (does not work for all camera apps, so try a few).
If you use stock rom and don't want to root you can probably use something like Shouko/XPERI+ instead:
Shouko/XPERI+
Before installing, remember that unlocking and rooting can void warranty and cause certain apps or features of your Xperia to stop working. I don't take any responsibility for problems associated with or caused by the usage of this module.
To install:
Unlock bootloader and root with Magisk
Download Google Assistant Remapper Mod
Install the module zip file in Magisk
Reboot
Say cheese!
To uninstall:
Remove or disable the module in Magisk
Reboot
Ok Google!
Enjoy the mod!

Changelog:
v1.0: Initial release for Magisk 20.4+

You can try this module and report back if it works.
Try more than one camera app because not all of them support using a camera button.
If it doesn't work I'll need a dump of the /system/vendor/usr/keylayout/gpio-keys.kl file + value of getprop ro.build.product.

[z1 z1c z2 z3 z3c] - Xperia System/Camera Package and Guide on clean installing a ROM

Hey guys, I would like to introduce the packages I've create for the CarbonROM (might work on other roms) using Magisk systemless module to get the Sony look and apps back again on Oreo, Pie and 10.
Also, I've prepared a comprehensive guide on flashing a CustomROM on z3c but it should help with the install process on other phones as well.
Code:
/*

- Support icon on setting is buggy on CR6.1
- Camera seems to be recording videos with 60fps instead 120fps
- HDR and Manual Exposure doesn't seems to work
- 20mp 16:9 labeled wrongly, it is actually 15.5mp 16:9
- Album recognize photos on SD card, but deleting them does not work.
*Not all features of Cyberian Camera are present in Magisk Version [z3c]

I've thought on providing a user friendly clean install tutorial here (assuming that you coming from stock):
1. Get the last CarbonROM, the last Gapps (OpenGapps ARM or MindTheGapps ARM), the last stable or beta Magisk (Installer, Uninstaller and Manager) and the last TWRP.
2. If your device is D5833 get .575 and .291 roms (however you just need the kernels), if it is D5803 skip this step.
3. Follow this tutorial to root your phone.
4. Backup your DRM keys if you want (I personally like to backup them)
5. Now unlock your Bootloader using Flashtool (get the unlock code from here if you don't have it)
6. After get your bootloader unlocked flash again .291 rom
7. Get Minimal ADB and Fastboot
8. Copy the TWRP that you download to the Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot)
9. Run Minimal ADB and Fastboot as admin
10. Connect your phone in fastboot mode (press volume up and connect the usb cable)
11. In Minimal ADB and Fastboot type fastboot flash FOTAKernel <"twrp_name">.img and hit enter
12. If everything were OK type exit and hit enter
13. Now press volume down and the power button at the same time to boot in the recovery, when the phone vibrates release the power button, when the light came out release the volume down button. thanks @casouzaj for this post.
14. Click on Wipe, Advanced and select and clear Everything (Dalvik/ART Cache, system, cache, Data, Internal Storage)
15. Go back and click on Install, find and install CarbonROM
16. Go back and click on Install, find and install Gapps
17. Go back and click on Install, find and install Magisk
18. Go back and click on Install, find and install Image Enchament and Smart Technologies (Optional - I installed but not sure if it is doing anything)
19. Go back and click on Install, find and install Oreo-XZ2-DisplayMod-for-XZ-XZs-XP (Optional - I installed but not sure if it is doing anything)
20. Reboot to system
21. Upgrade Magisk Manager (Swipe up on the main screen, find and open Files app, click on the on top left, select SD card, find Magisk Manager apk)
22. Open Magisk Manager and install SONY XPERIA XZ2 SOUND SYSTEM™ by @sirdoha (v1.35 Magisk recommended) (not necessarily anymore)
(Quick guide: Open Magisk Manager, click on the on top left, click on Modules, click on the "+" button on the center of the screen, give its permissions, search for the file and click on it).
23. Remember, after install any Magisk module, reboot your system, otherwise it will not get installed properly. (At least I've tried to flash many modules at once and it didn't work)
24. Install the right Sony Stock Camera Magisk Module on your device (Camera button acts just like in Sony Stock ROMs).
25. Install the right Xperia System Pack Magisk Module.
26. Install Xperia Camera Add-on Package Magisk Module.
27. If you want to boost your torch get the Magisk Module from here
28. Reboot. Done!
*If you reboot your system and didn't see the modules, just reboot your phone one more time. All done!
Congrats, welcome to the CustomROMs world. Now you need to set somethings up: 3rd Post

Could you give it a try and let me know the outcome? I suppose yes since z2, z3 and z3c are very close devices... Cheers!
Minor Update Up:
- Fixed FCs on system package - now everything should install and run smoothly.
- Added Smart Connect apk on system package.
- New Stock Camera Module - now combined with Cyberian Camera Mod (better features)
- Introduction of Xperia Camera Add-ons Magisk Module (good option for those who want to add the add-ons only).
- Minor update regarding Timeshift - It actually saves the video, but only when device is rebooted (still looking on it)

You on CarbonROM yes? both Cameras Modules (v1 and v1.1) does not work on Z2?
I got a similar problem recently while messing with camera files, you coming from a clean install ? If not, have you previously installed Sony Camera?
I see what can I do mate about z2 but as I don't have one it's kinda difficult to test, btw do you have cyberian 7.4 for z2? the last version 8.0 isn't fully working when combined with stock camera at least on the tests I did on my z3c.
Cheers!

Hi,is it possible to do the same job for xz premium and create a stock camera module for carbon 6.1 ROM?
Hello, I have Z3 Compact D5803, Carbon rom 6.1. I have all the camera modules installed. I do not have all the Cyberian Mod functions. I miss 20px in 16: 9 resolution.

v1.2 fixed this. Now 20mpx 16:9 is present as well as 12mp and 10mp. However, have to look at 8mp resolutions that dissapeared.

You welcome sir, you can add - Xperia Z3 Compact running CarbomROM | Android 8.1 - to you compatible list when you got time for it
Also, I saw that in the 1.4 Magisk version of your port XZ2 media was removed, and also noticed that Music apk is with a weird name in system "artist..." and not just 'Music' so I made a Magisk module combining both 1.3 and 1.4 versions, could you add that in your post? or allow me to add it here?
Cheers!

I can't guarantee you that it is possible, since xz premium is from a complete different architecture and I don't know nothing about it.

[Magisk Module] Call Recording Enabler in MIUI Roms for Coolpad Note 3/Lite/Plus

This module edits build.prop to fix call recording features in Miui ported roms for coolpad Note 3/Lite/Plus. In MIUI ported roms call recording is broken and everytime we need different-different call recording patch also sometimes it creates mi account login issue which needs to install rom again. Thats I why came up to make a universal patch so that it can be used in all roms also mi account login can be fixed jut be disabling module.
Installation
Download Module attached into post.
Simply flash this module through magisk 17+.
Important Notes
If you get mi account login error. Simply disable this module, reboot, login into MI account after that enable module and reboot
If bootloop occurs just uninstall magisk and reinstall magisk.
Report bug in this thread if you get any.

[Magisk] Debloat Script for Xperia XZ Premium

Hello,
I've created a Debloat Script to systemlessly Debloat the Xperia XZ Premium via Magisk.
Tested on following Devices/Firmwares:
Xperia XZ Premium (G8141): 47.2.A.8.24, 47.2.A.10.28, 47.2.A.10.45 (Pie)
Xperia XA2
If you try on other devices give feedback. It might work on most actual Sony phones.
Attention!
The module removes Sony Home Launcher and Swiftkey Keyboard, so be sure to have another launcher and keyboard installed before you enable the module. (You can download Swiftkey regular from Playstore again)
I recommend Xperia keyboard from here.
Version Infos:
Debloat_vX.X Regular Version
Debloat_vX.XYT Doesn't remove YouTube (due to conflicts when using Debloat + YT-Vanced Magisk Module -> vanced won't show up)
If you find Bloat-apps not included in this Script just tell me and I'll add them.
Also if you succesfully use the Script on other devices/firmwares give Feedback.
Enjoy your clean XZP
Thanks to @Pointless816 for providing a huge list of Bloatware apps in his adb script (here).
Changelog:
v1.2 Fixed Property in Magisk
v1.1 Fixed apps not included in @Pointless816 Script
v1.0 Initial Release

Can you add the contrast reducer aka qualcomm assertive display feature to the list? Im entirely not sure which apk is responsible for this feature, but I'm pretty sure it's an apk and not a system file. I recently saw a display booster apk uploaded on apkmirror, some old version of it is present in the xzp.
P.S. - It's the feature responsible for turning the contrast down so low and makes everything look very light with low saturation when outdoors .

No problem mate, glad to help.
Well I've been trying to debloat my Sonys for a while now using Magisk and Titanium Backup and also another Magisk debloat mod using Termux and neither method worked. At best they would disable apps but not remove and moreover cause boot loop on restart. This mod works!!! I was sceptical at first and thought it would just remove the apps from the primary user but I added a second account to my phone and the apps were gone there too. Also I used this on my XA2 along with my XZ Premium and works for both. The only apps it didn't remove from the XA2 was Amazon Kindle and FM Radio. But I am ecstatic. Thanks alagga!

"Upon further review..." The mod doesn't actually remove the apps it merely hides them, which is OK, but I was able to still see the "deleted" apps with recovery and going into system. I then deleted them there and the few the mod doesn't touch. When it comes right down to it, it's merely a matter of aesthetics as the apps don't take up a lot of space to begin with. I just like complete control over what's on my phone.
It's still a good mod and a fast and easy way to disable and hide those unwanted apps.

This module is especially designed to do it like this. If you use this systemless removing (hiding) of the apps, system stays unmodified and so you're still able to get official OTA's

Use apk analyzer from playstore (or search for the paths manually via a filebrowser) and pass me over the paths of the apps then I'll add them to the script
(should be located either in /system/app/XXX or /system/priv-app/XXX)

tested by me on One Plus Nord - Working like charm!
It's working only the clock style is not change I have word now but when I select default it stays at word??
Any idea if i can get it working on non-rooted Nord? :?
There is no way to make it working un-rooted. This modify your system app system UI and there is no way without root permission. Why just not unlock bootloader and flash new boot image ..?? ?
