Question X30 with under display camera - Moto Edge X30

does anyone know if this version, the special edition version of the X30 came out already? I thought when the punch whole version came out that the special edition one would release as well but, I haven’t been able to find it anywhere.

Lumia 900 UK Update?

No question sub-forum, so I'm posting here.
So the AT&T and Rogers have got a update for the Lumia 900 to:
OS version: 7.10.8779.8
Firmware revision number: 2175.2301.8779.12223
I'm stuck on:
OS version: 7.10.8773.98
Firmware revision number: 2175.2101.8779.12201
I was just wondering what all the other UK users are on? Or anyone else in Europe.
I want the Camera Enhancement they've made in the Nokia Firmware! Unless we already have it?
I'm on the same version and Zune says its the lastest for my phone (Lumia 900 T-mobile NL).
Same as you mate, I'm in the UK. I guess we will have to wait!
Sent from my Lumia 900 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Hi, i got bored and used the Nokia Care suite to update mine to 8779. Just followed the instructions on xda for At&t version and swapped the files to the UK versions. Worked fine.
Camera improvement was what i was after... didn't make any difference at first glance. Also had a slight issue with the date changing to 1980!! after initial flash quick off/on sorted that.
i'm no expert so can't support anyone.
cheers

Where did you get the 8779 files from for the UK?
RM-823 is our model name right?

This is the guide I used. my model is RM-823. the Nokia care suite tells you which you have. The downloader has all the files for all countries and versions.

Phone is allot snapier, I kept getting a scrolling issue which has now gone. Camera still crappy but then I am coming from gsiii and iPhone 4s so may its not that bad.
Just like me, I still have my Galaxy S3, but Window Phone 8 looks really interesting so I wanted to get used to it first with Window Phone 7 and cheers, hopefully I can find the update.
EDIT: I'm only able to find this update for our device ' 2175.2101.8779.12201' not '2175.2301.8779.12223' along with not able to find the Window update 7.10.8779.8.
Just curious what you did? I followed the instruction.

I can't remember now... I just know it was 8779. I am back to the iPhone atm but might check for you this weekend. I thought as long as I was on 8779 I would see the benefit on the camera.

Nothing about the T707...

Hello guys, I made the mistake of buying the at&t version of the S 8.4 and would have like to either flash a light rom or at least debloat the thing but can't find anything here. Is that model persona non grata around these parts? Or am I missing something?

Not currently rootable, therefore no roms and no de-bloat.
Return and get International version.

That's what I did... international version was cheaper, has more functionality, and is nicely hackable. Only tiny downside is the slightly bronze color doesn't perfectly match the silver casing of the AT&T keyboard case I bought. Loving this thing though.
I believe SM-T705 does not work with Tmobile LTE.

Official Chinese ROM vs Official Global vs EU ROM

What are the differences among the Official Chinese ROM vs Official Global and EU ROM? Which is best for someone living in NYC?

China - bloatware - no need
Global - useless - no need
Eu - everything global has and more regarding updates, root ability, and twrp working without issues.
EU. Plain and simple. Anyone tells you otherwise, they haven't tested enough.

Hi opasha,
Appreciate that. But I need to touch on something I asked you before. I researched the xiaomi mi a2. It works on verizon flawlessly even when verizon implies it may not work on their network. In like manner and the fact that both phones are xiaomi, do you think the mi max 3 can still work on verizon?

Yes. I'll have to test it out. Will let you know when I get the phone. Thanks again for your help opasha.
I've got to be honest , with the options for Miracast ( built in) and Chromecast ( using apps) i would have thought plugging in a phone these days is a bit superfluouse. I've been using both to cast my phone to a Projector ,TV and Speakers, and have not even thought about USB 3 leads now.

Mate 20 X - Flash China version to internaional / Europe one?

Hi guys,
I will get very soon my first china handy - the Mate 20 X - 8 GB / 256 GB - china version.
Now I read that Saturn / Mediamarkt will bring the Mate 20 X to Germany. Therefore I expect that an international / European version is on the way.
Is it possible to flash the china version with this international one?
No idea til now.
wbr
Johannes
I know only the china version can be unlocked and just now I saw this news
https://9to5google.com/2018/11/15/google-android-pie-project-treble-expectations/
Highlighted text from Google
"Going forward, all devices launching with Android 9 Pie or later will be Treble-compliant and take full advantage of the Treble architecture to deliver faster upgrades. Thanks to Treble, we expect to see more devices from OEMs running Android 9 Pie at the end of 2018 as compared to the number of devices that were running Android Oreo at the end of 2017."
What this means is that, whether Huawei likes it or not, Pie is already treble ready and there's a good chance that we are able to flash aosp on the device.

I think it is as safe as can be. Just follow the instructions properly and you should be good. I just did that. I removed the browser and a few other apps such as Hivoice and Hiboard etc. I didn't remove everything chinese as many of them do no harm.

Question How to convert ROG Phone 6 CN to Global?

Hey everyone,
i have a new ROG phone 6 tencent CN version, id like to convert to Globla firmware, can i anyone share steps to do so? i have the global firmware zip downloaded from Asus, but not sure if i need to unlock bootloader, and how to flash that zip.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
Use the phone with cn rom for a while until official files are released don't do anything without making sure or you will brick your device we don't know asus plans for now

Thanks for the reply mate. I can see the bootloader Unlock tool and global firmware as well as source code on Asus website for rog 6, what other files do we need to wait for ?
Also, I would use the phone with cn firmware but problem is google / firebase notifications don't work on that firmware , as is the issue with many Chinese phones with google services manually installed.

You'll have to excuse me for being so blunt, but...
You're not asking for help and offering a donation. You're asking if you can pay someone to convert your phone, which is a violation of the rules.
The rest of the original post is also irrelevant, as it was posted in the ROG Phone 5 section. What appeared to be a typo was actually asking about a different phone.

You're not asking for help and offering a donation. You're asking if you can pay someone to convert your phone, which is a violation of the rules. There are two guides already here on how to do it (one for each series), along with hundreds of posts where people hastily attempted to fly through them and wiped their IMEI. Of the three threads you spammed this message on, one even happened to be the guide for yours.
Repair ROG Phone 5S through edl firmware, no need to unlock Bootloader to modify COUNTRY CN to WW
Success is disgusted by some people, and will not share any files for free in the future.

Hi Mr Twisted Umbrella
I Appreciate your response. I think there is a misunderstanding. I offered a donation for someone to create a guide for ROG phone 6, which can be posted on XDA so hundreds of others can benefit as well. Sorry if it sounded like i wanted to pay someone to do my work.
I have already read through all of the forums that i have spammed (apologies again) and also the link you just sent above. All of them are written for ROG 5 and 5S. All the batch files and etc reference ROG phone 5 and 5S, hence why i wasnt sure whether i am safe to use the exact same guide and files with my ROG Phone 6.
I didnt want to brick a brand new rog phone 6. hence why I asked for help here, apologies if it came off the wrong way.
Anyway, id appreciate any help anyone can give me. i currently have a useless rog 6 sitting with me as push notifications dont work with CN firmware

Part of it could be that you made all of your posts in the ROG Phone 5 section, making it appear to be a typo. Hundreds of others won't benefit from having to look in the wrong place to stumble onto it.

Just wait for someone to post a guide rog 6 isn't available in my country yet
Could you please tell how much ram and storage is tencent rog 6?
And the price?
Tencent ROG 6 comes in several variants:
8GB RAM/128GB* Flash(~700 USD)
12/128*(~700-800 USD)
12/256(~900-1000 USD)
16/512(~1100-1200 USD)
18/512 Pro(~1400+ USD)
All regular models are available in black or white, Pro is only available in white. *=AFAIK, the 128GB models are exclusive to the Chinese market, all other lines should be starting with 12/256 as the base model.
This is based on what I found looking around on AliExpress at the time of posting, prices may vary.

I think i will either have to find a way to get Google services running properly with FCM notifications (currently have google services installed but can not register for push notifications), or sell the device as its currently useless with no proper google services or global firmware.
I purchased from Giztop, check out their website. i always buy new devices from them, it takes ages for retailers here in New Zealand to get these sorts of exotic phones in if they ever do.

Hi, I bought rog 6 from Alibaba. The Tencent 256gb model. I asked the seller to flash global ROM. He did it for me. The phone arrived today, works perfectly. Only thing is, I'm getting that "hardware stub" notification which says "the installed firmware does not match the device, please note you may not receive OTA updates"
Any idea how to remove that annoying message?
I purchased a ROG 5 last year from wondamobile. They too flashed global ROM for me and somehow the Rog 5 didn't have that annoying hardware stub message.
Anyway, my rog 6 works perfectly with ww global ROM, except that annoying notification
The method is out. Update your #1 post to a tutorial?

I sent the phone back. But there's no solution as of yet. You can uninstall hardware stub services to remove the notification but then you won't be able to change your refresh rate. Im sticking with my rog 5 , it's got better speakers & battery life is the same. Also, speakers have been downgraded on the rog 6. I think asus didn't do a good job with rog 6
