Is Xiaomi Mi Max Compatible with T-mobile 4G LTE?

I called a tmobile rep who said that the Xiaomi Mi Max is compatible with tmobile's 4G LTE. Meanwhile a few users have said that it may not be compatible. So I dont know who to believe. Could you guys who own this phone and who are on tmobile tell me if its compatible on tmobile's 4G LTE?

I dont understand your comment. Did you mean to say that there is no LTE form any provider in the US or that the phone isnt compatible with any 4G in the US?

A tmobile rep emailed me the LTE bands that tmobile currently uses for New York City. He said the phone is compatible. Look below at the tmobile bands. Compare those with the bands on the Xiaomi Mi Max, which is linked here:
http://www.devicespecifications.com/en/model/4ea93be4
Let me know you think!!!!
T-mobile network frequencies in New York are:
2G (GSM)
4G/3G U2100
4G/3G U1900
LTE 2100
LTE 1900
LTE 700A

Well if that's the case it should work, the 2100 & 1900 LTE band's are covered but both of those are short range, long range one LTE 700A is not covered but same situation is in EU regarding LTE band 800. Still I don't guarantee you it will work, it should & close to the towers with those two short range bands if you're info is correct (phone side is correct and same as listed on GSMarena).
Best regards.

No LTE in USA for any provider... with Mi Max.... T-Mobile rep doesn't know a thing about this phone.
check this out "will my phone work .net" without spaces
I've checked myshelf, no support for T-Mobile 4G LTE in New York. Only 2G and 3G
I have mi max on t mobile and only have hspa+, but it's fast enough in my area (30mbs down)

I live in NYC and I get about 5 mbps down using tmo. In comparison, using my note 4 I get around 30mpbs. In NYC you will be using the refarmed 3g network, not LTE. My phone switches between 3g and h+ but it's essentially the same thing

I've driven from upper new york thru Canada, to Chicago. Never without data for long. All bigger cities fine, smaller cities 3g, it's a great device.
Probably not stream video but Google maps worked fine.

Just released Mi mix 2s LTE bands??

Hello, I heard a rumour to use the new mi mix 2s in the USA you need to buy the 8gb ram/256 model?
Anyone know if that is true. I would prefer to use the lower versions of the mi mix 2s on T-Mobile in the USA but worried it won't work.

I doubt that's true. The bands are the same and the Mix2 works on both gsm and cdma (Verizon) lte. Since the new T-Mobile bands (band 60?) aren't widely deployed, I don't think you'll have a problem.

You should be fine...like the post above stated, the main T-Mobile frequencies are present. However, you will be missing band 66 and 71, the latter of which is becoming more and more important (the state of Wyoming, for instance, is almost exclusively band 71 on T-Mobile). Unfortunately it may take a while for Xiaomi or similar phones to support band 71 as it's been really slow in getting manufacturers to adopt this band, excepting Samsung, LG, and Moto. But in any case, all variants of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S do have the vast majority of T-Mobile's network covered vis-a-vis LTE banding.
It looks like all global versions of the Mi Mix 2S are compatible with T-Mobile LTE. But only the 256GB version of the Mi Mix 2S is compatible with Verizon. So if you're only worried about T-Mobile you should be fine.
I'm also in the same doubt..
Here in France we get the new b28 lte band, which is perfectly supported in the mi mix 2 whatever version, but in the 2s, it seems to be only supported on the 256 go/international version which is very very expensive!
But on some merchant (gearbest, aliexpress, etc...) the description of 64go global version say b28 lte band compatible...
Both 256go and 64go get the same cpu, snapdragon 845, and then the same lte modem...
So is there a chance to get a 64go global version compatible with this lte band, or could it possible to unlock the missing band with some tweaks???

Hello..
I own a China "Global" Edition Redmi Note 5.
I'm on MetroPCS (T-Mobile towers) and I get LTE in the Urban (City) areas and HSPA+ on the outskirts. It NEVER drops down to 3G or (Heaven Forbid) 2G.. I'm pretty sure AT&T provides the best overall coverage.. but MetroPCS has the best cost for my needs.. hope this helps if you have a Global Edition.

How can I find out with certainty that LTE is covered

In my location considering the li ited amount amount of 4G Bands the Mi Max 3 handles? I don't mind using ATT or T-Mobile but I am less then confident relying on their sale person's answers.
Thanks!

I use Cricket which is part of AT&T...so for 3G and LTE, both signals is quite spot on. I just got mly Mix Max 3 yesterday and i switch my sim from another Xiaomi device to give you an idea that Xiaomi Phones can handle that company, but you can go to Tmobile and have them test it out.

Global, but have tried Chinese Rom.. there is no difference.
Celmapper uses data collected by volunteers using the cellmapper apps for Android and IOS. It will show you LTE and GSM bands used in areas where volunteers have collected data. https://www.cellmapper.net/Index

I have exactly the same question:
According to official Mi Max 3 website:
LTE band support: B1, B3, B4, B5, B7, B8, B20
I just bought a Global version model: M1804E4A:
The user guide indicates band support: 1/3/7/8/20/34/38/40 (Bands 4 & 5 are missing !!??)
WIthout Bands 4 & 5 - I'm guessing I can't get onto AT&T and TMobile ?
ALso is there a code dialler to check what LTE band is being support by model: M1804E4A?
For folks using mi max 3 in USA successfully - may I know what is your model number?
Thanks !!

Question Gsm Bands for Europe

Hi
I bought a 11x from India and I trying to use it in the UK. The coverage is very poor due to the bands being use by India rom. Do you think there is a way to improve it.
Thank

The bands are picked by your sim card not the phone. If I stick in my AT&t sim it always uses band 4 for LTE. I have the Poco F3 global edition working in America and I have the international Samsung S10 lite working same thing band 4.
Then using the same sim .. in s21 and m11x why do I get two different data speed. My understanding was Mi11 was using a different band to s21.
