Question Rattling camera? - Google Pixel 6 Pro

I noticed my device makes audible ticking noises when I shake it, coming from the camera array. When I got into the camera app and switched to the 4x optical zoom wile shaking it, and it stopped for a few seconds and then continued.
Anyone else experiences this issue?

TL;DR: nothing to worry about, it's completely normal, many phone manufacturers and models do the same thing.

Maybe it took you a month to shake it, when the OIS stops working because you have shaken it to death you'll be able to take solace that it no longer rattles.

We should get a FAQ going that becomes a sticky post, we had this rattle question about a dozen times already.
Then again it's not the users fault, since the new forum UI has become nearly unusable and the search function is nearly useless. It's hard to expect newcomers to sift through half a dozen sites in order to find similar questions.

As I said in my post, I did searches before (and then after) posting and found nothing on the subject. Given my previous phone I really didn't come here often, but with this new baby thought I'd come back.
Now to get back to shaking my flagship phone like a maracas...

Screen has blue green yellow vertical lines

It was perfectly fine for a day and a half until I put it back on the charger for about one hour and then the screen was like that. Tried fixing it by resetting and restarting and turning it off overnight. Still like this.
I'd like to note that it was fixed when I changed to the convergence watch face for about 5 minutes after shutting it off for about an hour but it came back in 5 minutes. I feel like there is a solution if it managed to fix itself even if only for 5 minutes. Has anyone had this problem.
I did contact Motorola and had my case escalated so another question is if this does need to be replaced, how long does it take.
Same issue
I too am seeing the same thing on my silver 360. It just started out of the blue about thirty minutes ago. I have tried resetting charging and erasing. I'm still having the issue. I will most likely contact motorola ASAP.
I would say that either the screen is faulty or there's an issue with the SoC.

Nothing out of the ordinary, just watch faces really. I'm so lost because when I got home today, I managed to fix the problem by deleting the android wear apps on my phone. It was 1 o'clock now it's 9 o'clock and it somehow has come back. ;( I don't know why! And I can't fix it this time
It's definitely a hardware issue (bad memory I think) and software could avoid it if it knows where the bad memory is, but it's hard to know how much memory would be left. If there's not enough good memory then it would be forced to use bad space...
Sadly I think it needs to be "refurbished"

Video optimizer on all the time?

Hey all,
I'm liking my Note 7 fine, but I'm not LOVING it, and it comes down to one thing for me: the screen just isn't as vibrant as past phones (Note 5 and S7). It seems that Samsung has dulled it a bit, the colors don't "pop" in that over-saturated way they used to. Playing with the screen modes it seems the Adaptive mode is the most vibrant but even there it's noticeably duller to my eyes. It's by no means a deal-breaker, but it's my one "complaint" at the moment.
Interestingly, activating the video enhancer works wonders - when watching a video! Which is nice... but I want that thing on ALL THE TIME! I actually mentioned this to a Samsung rep in the store the other day and his answer was "well, nobody's complaining about it". Well, nobody BUT ME I guess. And I totally get that some people never liked how artificial the colors used to look on Samsung devices, and it's why the screen modes were always a great thing. I could turn on the mode that made the colors pop while others could leave it off. I just wish I could do that with this phone, but I can't.
I know there's no setting for activating that video enhancer across the board but I'm just throwing it out here in case there's a hack or app or something I'm not aware of... and if not, maybe get some enterprising dev thinking about it For me, it's taking a nearly flawless device and bringing it down just a hair. Not drastically, but a little.

Camera glass durability and a question?

Hi,
I'm about to get a new S9 Eu version, it's in process by my carrier, but now I decided to look around @samsung US support and saw the gass around camera can break/shatter out of nowhere..
Anyone who reported it said he/she took care of it and it still happened.
Did anyone have this here or is this just a bad batch, from what I saw mostly US models..
Anyone?

I think you're worried about nothing. That thread is a mixture of the back glass is broken, the screen is broken, there's a hole over the 2nd camera lens, etc. Those posts are a tiny percent of the phones sold and I have no doubt that some of those phones were dropped or sat on.
I see, but no one said they sat on, apparently it just happened.
So its not so spread then?
Is this thread, question the only one like that on this forum?
Thanks
I just don't think the glass shattering for no reason is a problem to worry about. I would imagine that it's a tiny fraction of phones that may have gotten damaged during shipment but an even smaller percent that just breaks for no reason.
Ok thanks again, I also asked more around and yeah it looks like user error, they blamed samsung for their clumsiness. In a thought they would warrant it.
I asked one owner of S9 and also linked him that said thread and he said it's not like that, it is durable. Those who had such issue either sat on it and what not.
He also said he didn't use case at first and also bumped the phone in the gym to some weights, accidentally and it's still all ok.
So anyway, admin can close this thread.
I'm relieved now
FWIW, I've got an Otterbox Commuter case on mine and I've dropped it several times, mostly on hard floors and it's held up well. I carry mine in a front pocket and without a screen protector there are no scratches either.

A Microsoft/Nokia Feature phone (Windows 10 Mobile) inspiration, may be something to look at?

Ok before you laugh, have a look about the internet, I was frankly stunned by this old news, as I would have gone all in on a Microsoft/Nokia Feature Phone. I would still drop my Android in a heart beat to have this. As for years I ran an Old Audiovox SMT 5600 WinMo 5 candy bar phone, even with the T9 text it did all I ever wanted phone calls, texts, and music in my pocket. None of the fancy streaming or data collection crap with facebook and it's evil partners
Any way I stray away from the Topic.... Sources for the Microsoft RM-1181/82/83
Windows Central Zac Bowden did a write up of a hands on.....
https://www.windowscentral.com/microsoft-feature-phone-rm-1182-windows
Nokia Power User also had pics and a write up
RM-1182 was a Microsoft-branded Feature-phone
RM-1182 seems to be a Microsoft-branded Feature-phone
nokiapoweruser.com
A YouTube video of it's startup, prototype password stuff
Then to my surprise a few are in the wild and for sale.....
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/295117884704
I would buy one, but I have no idea how much is working, what of the phone works, or how to even start to poke about and look to rip out a rom to see if other newer Hardware in the HMD/Nokia line could be made to run what ever this runs. It comes from China, so I am guessing it will take forever to get one with the world in the state it's in.
In any case just putting it out to see if anyone gets sparked with an itch. I know my itch is sparked and I have no idea how long I can hold off trying to grab one. As I have been thinking of going back to a feature phone for some time as I have no need for all the crap a Smart Phone does, but I am older and not driven by a need for social media junk.

Question [SOLVED] Very strange ongoing camera issue

Hi, I have spent the last few weeks searching XDA, OnePlus and various other forums for an answer to this issue but have come up with no working fix.
The camera on my OP9P works absolutely fine sometimes, but other times it will show the feed for about 1 second and then freeze, completely unusable as the OP Cam app will also become unresponsive. Other times it will work, but the wide-angle 0.6x lens will not be accessible, the button for it will just not be there. Other times it will work 'fine' but the 1x lens will have a very strange overlay on it (photo attached).
I have tried every cam app on the first 10 pages of the Play store and even installed older versions of the OP Cam app and I eventually get the same issue. It happens in every app I use: WhatsApp, Instagram etc.
I have installed various ROMS also and still had the same issue.
Has anyone heard of this issue before, or know what it could be? My gut says it is hardware related but if I restart the phone, it usually works fine with no physical changes to the device.
Device was purchased around September 2022 and is in great physical condition, currently running OxygenOS 13.0 (LE2123_11_F.75).
Any help will be much appreciated.

Is that 100% sure? I thought it could be hardware but a simple reboot usually fixes the issues for a little while.
I've reached out to the supplier who is going to repair it. Frustrating but quick response times so we'll see what happens.
