Question which oneplus 9 pro version do I have - OnePlus 9 Pro

I have oneplus9 phone.
Oxygen updater says my phone is India version
when I look in setting->about phone the model is LE2120 which is CN version AFAIK. thats what the Oxygen updater also present.
But the OxygenOS version is 11.2.10.10 LE15DA which is India version according to google
so which version do I have?

2120 is the Chinese version, but you can flash Indian or EU/Global firmware anytime, hence why the Oxygen updater app thinks you have the Indian version. Afaik, it doesn't affect the functionality of the phone.

Right, model number and firmware version are two different things because the model number (LE2120) is your hardware, and the firmware version (DA) is your software.

There are only 3 firmware versions for OOS released by OP as far as I know: AA (Global), BA (EU), and DA (India).

I don't know a lot about ColorOS or its differences, but it's probably just a matter of personal preference. The two are going to be unified at some point in the near future anyway.

Right?
I am from Germany and I have
phone LE2120 (Chinese) and
build LE15 DA (India)
So i can flash the Europea build...
Will this reset my data?

What OOS version do you have right now?
If you download the full update (not incremental) that is the same version or newer than your current version and install it via system update, that method does not wipe the phone.
If you have to downgrade/rollback due to no full update being available for your version or newer, that would wipe the phone. Or just wait for the next full update to be released.

Actually i have

Buy oneplus 7t hd1900 Chine version in France

Hello
I plan to buy a oneplus 7t. I am in France and the only model sold is the hd1903 8gb ram 128gb.
I would like to buy the hd1900 Chinese model.
This model has 256 GB of storage.
According to the technical characteristics, the hd1900 model has the same technical characteristics, especially at of the LTE bands.
It comes with an oxygen rom of the French language and playstore installed.
I have several small questions to ask you.
1 / is this version of oxygen a version benefiting from updates via OTA?
2/ Is this model perfectly suited for Europe?
3 / buying a Chinese version, must you install a global version of oxygen os ?
4 / to root later a Chinese version hd1900, it is done in the same way as the European version hd1903? Or should I install a particular firmware?
Thank you in advance for your replies.
cordially
Ola,
while i do not live in France, i can help answer some of your questions as i order also from china and has the same model ordered.
1. Check what rom they flashed on the device. mine shipped with the indian rom. U can flash EU rom as long as the EU rom version is higher than the currently installed. So dont update when u first boot up ur device
3. some sellers, they are flashing oxygen version before they shipped it. In my case, i flashed the global rom after i receive it as i noticed that i'm using indian version (has cloud storage option in gallery).
4. there shouldn't be any issue rooting the device later.. that's what i think

thank you for your precise answer.
Coming from Xiaomi, I will start in the world of Oneplus.
To update in a version of Oxygen adapted to France and Europe.
Once you have downloaded the firwmare file, do you have to put the file on the phone in the update directory and force an update from the Oneplus settings?
Or should I use a particular software for this update?
Just put the whole rom in the root folder of the storage then update in the settings-system-system updates -"click gear icon" - local upgrade

Thank you for your reply.
For example if the version of oxygen os installed is the Indian version and I want to install the global version. I just download the global version I put in the phone and update as you indicate?
Should it reset the phone if updated to a version of oxygen os that is not same as that installed on the op7t?
No need to reset,. Ur only problem is if the version of oxygen os installed is the latest. In that case look for the thread in guide section on how to flash

But it is unlikely that this oneplus7T is equipped with the latest version 1.0.0.6 released a few days ago. I would normally have a newer version to install.
3 last questions:
1 / In my case in France, it is better to use a global firmware (faster update?) Or a version of the firmware EU (European)
2 / Oxygenupdater is a useful utility later for future updates?
3/ And can we make updates via Oxygenupdater if the oneplus 7T is rooted?
Thank's

1. Looks like global recieve faster updates, dunno what benefit EU firmware has as i'm not from there
2. Yes, for global 10.0.6, i have used oxygen updater
3. Oxygen updater will detect if ur rooted and will advice u to download and install the full rom.

Hellou,
I ordered this one ( https://bit.ly/343MpgU ) and it's comming to germany... its an "international" Version... what does that mean? ^^ And does it have an european plug?
Hi, also French, I received my OP7T 128GB beginning of this week and as far as I can tell everything is fine. I unlocked the bootloader easily, I updated OOS through integrated OTA system as OOS was already flashed. I did a reset after the update (just a bit paranoid ).
I'm still trying to root it as I couldn't achieve it yesterday. I fastbooted the phone with a magisk patched boot.img but then I couldn't install magisk from magisk manager. I begin to think my phone is actually with international rom and not EU. I have to check again but now I'm stuck with my OP5T as I don't have that much time to tweak my new phone. Feel free to ask anything...

@Zayatoshi: J'ai reçu aujourd'hui ce modèle 256 Go HD1900. La mise à jour 10.0.06 OTA m'a été immédiatement proposée et s'est effectuée sans problème. Le transfert direct des applications de mon Oneplus 5T au 7T s'est effectué presque intégralement. Sorry for my post in French but as I address a French...... Cordialement.
I bought my OP7T on Gearbest and it's Chinese 1900 variant, but it's running Oxygen OS. I assume that it was manually flashed to use Oxygen OS. How can I determine is it global or european software? Now I have 10.0.7.HD65AA
And can convert it to 1930, so system info would indicate it's 1930?

10.0.7.HD65AA could be indian or global rom, EU is something like HD65AB. Indian Rom has some cloud storage from oneplus so if you don't have that, you have international rom.
I don't think you can convert to 1903 (there's no 1930), it's most likely some hardwired value that firmware just displays.

Yes, read instructions but I think you have to be in fastbootd first. Then double check the model number of your device and which ROM it comes with - it may be that the Indian ROM and global are the same or can both be installed on the same model, but I can't say for certain, I have global model with global ROM

I'm not 100% sure what you're referring to as it's been a while since I used the stock ROM flashing package but maybe the below will help? It's my understanding Global will work for Indian, Europe and North American models (mine was Europe, I used global) and Chinese / HK and T-Mobile have their own images. Sorry I can't provide these.
VariantsEdit
Both OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro have several variants. The differences are usually with the supported bands.
ModelVariantRegionOnePlus 7T
HD1900 Chinese/HK
HD1901 Indian
HD1903 Europe
HD1905 North America
HD1907 T-Mobile

Question Can I change my Indian Software OOS to the International/European OOS?

I posted this on OP9 forum but OP9 Pro forum looks more active, sorry in advance.
I bought a OP9 chinese model LE2110, my software is oxygen OS 11.2.3.3 LE25DA (indian)
I want global version because this one has some bloatware and indian company cloud notifications that i dont want.
Is it possible to change it to international version? i downloaded the global one but i cant install it (local) because its a downgrade or equal to my current one. i updated to the latest version when setting up my phone.
The chinese version/model doesnt have wireless charging, so if there is a problem with compatability, can I change back to the indian variant?
note: I dont care about my data i can format everything, my old phone still works and I can transfer all data later.

i think u can as i have changed from EU to indian OOS - i couldnt wait to try 11.2.4.4 lol
But the key is it must be later version that yr current OOS which means u are on 11.2.3.3 to EU 11.2.3.3 it will not work - that was based on my experience.
Agree with u the bloatwares are annoying.. perhaps i will go back to EU once a newer than 4.4 is out.
So far, all seems to work. I cant comment for 5G as its not available in my telcom

Oh I just did local upgrade from India 4.4 to eu 4.4, it works.. So I think u can downloading and do it. Worst case, use oxygen updater and change back to global and revert
I see.. when you switched to eu 4.4, did it remove Cloud Service (indian version has this advertisement)? or Red Cable Club?

Sorry I just read your message.
I didn't switch to oxygen, i think the seller did the switch and shipped it to me.
4G works, 5G doesnt work. Im in Saudi Arabia.
I don't use google pay but there is NFC.
Check Signals/Bands for each phone version, and the signals and bands that your carrier use. You can find them in the specifications for each phone

Question LE2120 Chinese variant has Indian FIrmware ((LE15 DA). Is it possible to change it to global firmware?

I got my 9 pro yesterday and it has indian firmware which i don't like. Is it possible to change it to global one. I'm on 11.2.5.5.
Also is it possible to use msm tool for Indian variant on this handset?
Thnx. Really hoping to get some answers
It should be, you should be able to download the global firmware from OPTeam's list of them and just flash in local update.
Yes, you can.
The only problem is 11.2.5.5 is too new, there is no full upgrade package yet. You can try flash an older global version rom, but with the risk of brick your phone. Through I think worst could happen is you have to wipe your phone.
You can find download link for global rom in this thread.
Q: How do I switch to Europe or Global OS?
A: Wait for the new version, download the #Full package and Local Update it. If you have Magisk installed, you can try to Local Update after entering the following command (need ROOT access).
resetprop ro.build.date.utc 1400000000

That's my case too.
I'm also in the 11.2.5.5 Indian SW.
So it's better to wait for a Global 11.2.5.5 or newer to flash over it? Right? It's not necessary to erase all data?
Does someone know what are the benefits from Global over the Indian? It seems that OnePlus is giving more attention to Indian market (updates, features, etc)

From what I can tell, there is no discernable difference in the firmware other than bloat directed at the Indian market. I'm also on LE2120 in the U.S. running the DA firmware. Everything on my device is fully functional as far as WiFi, 5G connectivity and all that. I debloated all the Indian specific bloat (red cable club, cloud storage and the like, especially since it doesn't work here in the States). I expect you can flash other regions firmware without issue or data loss so long as the other regions firmware is "newer" than what you're already on, otherwise it simply won't let you using local upgrade.
I'm also on LE2120 in the UAE running out of box coloros, then downgraded to the DA firmware, today I have updated to Global 11.2.5.5 . Everything on my device is fully functional except 5G (ETISALAT) and Invalid VIP NV's:2500 at every restart
