Date Format Change - LG Wing Questions & Answers

Hi,
I've got a T-Mobile LG Wing and I cannot change the date format to match the local settings.
My time zone is correct but it still shows the date the wrong way around and I am hoping to change that, does anyone know how to change the date format to have the day first as opposed to the month.

Device ID

Hi
I recently started flashing my tytn with your excellent roms but failed to write down my Device ID and know I'm having problems registering my touch-commander. I'm not clear about the concept of the Device ID!? Does the Device ID change everytime you flash? I hope I didnt overlook some stupid little detail but it shouldn't be that hard I don't want to buy a new license and I have tried The Cube but find it less responsive than touch-commander!
It's a user setting so if you did not right down the device id it will have probably changed to what ever was set as the default in the ROM you flashed. This is why if you have registered software your supposed to write it down and then you can set to to what it was before to avoid the problem you are having.
If you never changed it someone around here may know what the default is but they will need to know what carrier you purchased it through to determine this information or you can contact your carrier and they should know what it was.

Daylight Saving problem

Hello,
I've got a bit of a problem here. Few weeks ago we changed time because of the Daylight Saving, my mobile didn't do it automatically because every time I restart it changes the timezone to (GMT+2) Windhoek, and not the Sofia timezone (it seems they don't change time there. I've fixed that, but the problem is that, with the time change, the device changed the time of my appointments. When I edit them, it still says 9:30, but it sets the appointment for 10:30. Any suggestion how to repair that? I'm using Schap's 4.30 ROM, and I'll update to 4.31 now (I've done it some time ago, but had problems, that's why I dongraded to 4.30).
I've had similar problem.
Key issue was the Automatic Time Zone change on mobile phone settings, because it seems that not all mobile provider use a good setting. So I unchecked it, and change it myself.
Moreover, in fact you have TWO parameters; first one is your timze zone and second one is the time by itself.
As soon as you will upgrade to the very good Schap's 4.31, first adjust your TimeZone and then you time and when you will synchronise with Outlook erything will be OK.
Regards
Yep, I've done some experimenting and done that, it works now, thanks.
Yes, even though its a real PIA, I always turn off Auto Time Zone from my provider and manually set it. I even manually change to a different time zone and back if it originally got it's info from the carrier before I setup my ActiveSync.
I posted this a while back regarding this.
So, where do I find the setting to disable my Imate JASJAM to get time zone info from my carrier?

Settings\Personal\Phone\Time Zones. If you don't see that tab it's most likely not enabled....
Thanks for your helpful guidance

faria r32 time format

I love this rom, thanks faria. How can I change the time format from 24 hrs to 12. Also, how can I change the weather to show in fahrenheit instead of celsius. Thanks to all who can help me.
looked in regional settings in settings?
there one set up such things globaly
If it could only be that easy. Global setting give me the options h/mm/ss
or hh/mm/ss both stay in 25 hr mode, I read somewhere there needs to be a tt at the end like h/mm/ss/tt but I don't know how to get it there, may be in the REG?
I did a hard reset and then I got the option for h/mm/ss/tt, I don't know why it wasn't there after the install but anyway my time issue is resolved. If I can just figure out the weather problem, I'll be set.

a date/time problem tilt 2 (miri's manilla 2.1 rom)

my time and date always change even though i repeatedly change it
i suspect this has to do with the city being locked in as London, Dublin
(i cannot change it)
does any one know how to fix it or any registry changes that would fix my problem?

TP2, 2013 and time

Hi, I've noticed that after 1.1. 2013, the time on my Touch Pro 2 keeps getting messed up. For example, it's 12:27. On my phone, it's 14:27. Every time I adjust the time manually, it updates back to wrong time within an our or less. I tried changing my GMT (the correct one is GMT+1, but it changes too plus it changes time of my appointments.
I am not the only one with this problem, my friend keeps getting three hours forward instead of two like I do.
Any solutions to this problem, please?

Time on the phone should be provided over and synced to the network. Have you called your provided to see if they are having any issues with their network/servers?

I've heard some GSM provider's flat-out don't do this... So if the OP is in a small country or something with a small GSM provider... yea.
With CDMA, the network time is always provided. Whether it's always accurate or not... is another issue . I've never really had much issue with Sprint providing the right time - even when I am traveling... Phone has always shown the correct time - so long as I have service.

I bet there is an app you can get that will sync the phone to an atomic clock somewhere.
Well, I tried gTimeSync, but the thing is, I still have to update the time after restart. :-/ Well, at least I can correctly update time.
I have the same problem on the same phone, Hungarian Vodafone card..
Somtimes the clock is 1 hour out, sometimes 2... If I change the GMT+ setting, it is going back to the Hungarian one..
Windows Mobile problem I think, same problem with 2 different Vodafone cards, the cards are OK in my HTC HD2.
A registry hack maybe?
Solution!

The answer to my problem was this picture - http://www.mydigitallife.us/time zone setting.jpg from another topic here on xda forums.
Start - Settings - Personal - Phone - Time Zones - "Automatic change of time zone and clock." - unlock this option and there is our salvation.
Unfortunately, the time probably won't change automatically from summer/winter time, but it's still better than having permanently incorrect time.
Well, see you when I come up to another problem or I just happen to roam these forums.
