Please use the older twrp in the android 11 posts, this is the android 12 section. Decrypt with your pin you use in rom (newest twrp has decryption broken for A12 with a pin set) so please use older one for A11 or if you trying to flash A12 remove your pin in rom first then all will decrypt fine.
Thank you

Can anyone tell me what that means? I’m trying with both ancient roms A11 and A12 I’m trying via copy to sd card and adb sideload command and both give me same error. By the way I install recovery of each version mentioned in both threads

ancient has been updated and all editions added including gapps builds, recoveries and flashing instructions also updated, happy flashing!

The Zip installer is used for easier access when flashing roms, the img is there in case you have forgotten to flash the zip and have lost recovery.
Ensure that T-Virus is flashed and that you already have a working TWRP recovery working before proceeding with this build, do NOT attempt to flash this with TWRP while you are on stock ROM as it may hard brick your device, you have been warned!
if you need assistance in flashing T-virus do not hesitate to join our telegram group.
Clean Flash:
1. Take a full backup of both your data and internal storage as it may be wiped.
2. Download the ROM from above link and flash the recovery zip
3. boot into recovery and either remove rom pin or wipe internal to have it accessible to copy rom zip over (due to the decryption bug) or just use external sd card to flash.
4. flash the rom zip and recovery zip again right after the rom zip before rebooting, it will reboot you to recovery automatically in other slot.
5. Flash Gapps of your choosing [if vanilla build] and any mods you may want
6. run factory reset from recovery, or wipe /data and /dalvik if you don't want internal wiped.
7. reboot to system and enjoy!
(flashing Atomix zip is only needed if you flash the .img to fix hotspot, but not with the zip)
Installing an OTA (Dirty flash):
1. Download the ROM from above link
2. flash the rom zip and recovery zip and let it reboot into recovery.
3. wipe Dalvik cache only
4. install Gapps, and any mods you had previously flashed.
5. reboot to system and enjoy!
(flashing Atomix zip is only needed if you flash the .img to fix hotspot, but not with the zip)
[known bugs list]
- TWRP recovery does not decrypt internal storage with a pin set, this is TWRP's fault, but does not affect OTAs, cancel when prompted for pin it will say its incorrect.
- Offline charging animation does not work
- Loudspeaker is loud and creates some echo in calls
- SIM2 mobile data does not work (for dual sim users) but the sim itself works fine
- gyro sensor creates a drift in some games (unconfirmed)
- requires flashing atomix zip for WPA2 hotspot to work (attached)

Huge thanks for caring about the NB1. Just revived mine with a new screen after 3 year-long 'coma'. Didn't expect finding such a good ROM. Thanks again.

Hello. By any chance did you replace the screen yourself? Did you buy the screen online? I'd like to know because I have to replace mine as well.

Yeah, exactly. Smashed it about three years ago. Back then a repair was too expensive. But now I got a new Nokia branded screen on eBay for 35€. Replacement was not hard. Just needed to blow-dry often enough to soften the glue. My only issue were the many broken glass parts so I couldn't remove the screen as a whole. Let me know in PM if you want more info as this is a little off topic here.

sadly, mine just went into sudden death last week as well. i had to order but i got here locally, mine cost about 47$ shipping included, you can pick them up on aliexpress for a bit cheaper if your willing to go through the wait, since NB1 is my only device i couldn't wait months for mine. but as @ekcenraw mentioned as well ebay is a good option.

Hello! Hey Marcel. Managed to install this rom. Works fine so far. THank you. Except, I can't find any camera app... You know something about this and how to work around it?

Hello everyone, unfortunately, and despite the fact that I have installed AncientOS 5.7 Society without problems a month and a half ago or so, I have been trying to install AncientOS 6.2 Society since yesterday afternoon, I have reversed the process several times, some of them I have thought that I have bricked the phone but I can not install it. I don't know if I make the mistake when putting the TWRP and in the matter of the slots but the same thing always happens, it hangs. On one of the occasions I have seen AncientOS 6.2 booted but the GApps had not been installed and when I wanted to restart in recovery to reinstall them, the phone has entered a loop again. So any help would be welcome.

Hello, in the end I think I already have it, the mistake I made was that at the end in TWRP I pressed "swipe to factory reset" (which doesn't work) or in WIPE/Advanced I marked the options "Dalvik" and "Data" . The correct option was "Format data" (this option asks for confirmation by typing the word "Yes").

Hello everyone, in the end the error was mine and it consisted in the fact that I downloaded 2 packages of the rom, the first "AncientOS-S-Society-v6.2-NB1-OFFICIAL-20220216-1632-Vanilla" and the second "AncientOS-S-Society-v6.2-NB1-OFFICIAL-20220217-0056-GApps" and installed the first one after which I reinstalled the TWRP and after which I installed the second one thinking that it is just the GApps without reinstalling the TWRP again which caused the phone to run out of recovery. I have noticed the error when seeing the size of the 2 downloaded files, so nothing about "Format data" I think it was a coincidence when it worked for me. Apologies and thanks again to marceldossantos91 for the work done in the development and maintenance of this rom.

Pretty good ROM. But, the standard launcher sucks.
Thanks a lot. Slight problems when installing, we'll see what happens with the upgrade. I didn't install the recommended gapps because I don't like to google too much.

Builds have been updated, offline charging and sim2 data now works.
Happy Flashing!

Hi,
After a week of use.Vanilla version with Nikgapps Basic
WiFi stable 2.4 as well as 5 ghz - no problems.
Gcam no problem:
front and back camera, photos, videos, saving, etc OK,
Only problem with previewing photo
NFC - OK,
GPS - OK.
Bluetooth - OK.
Fingerprint reader - ok better than stock
Battery - similar to stock - in my case +/- 3 days.
Noticed bugs:
Problem with App Locker.
Restoring app locked application causes soft reboot - system reboots without restarting the phone.
MTP tranfer worse than on Stock. It is strange, that phone in recovery mode is detected as Nokia 8, and booted to system as: HMD_Global_MSM8998. MTP works better under recovery than under system. Until yesterday my phone ( on debian 11) was showing USB ID as RAZR keyboard
With Build 20200320 MTP works better than with previous build.
Update to 20200320 from previous version went without any problem.
I see that You change the launcher and add some icons. Thank you.
regards. P.

We are NOT responsible for anything that may happen to your device as a result of flashing ROMs, kernels, or installing any other mod. You are responsible for your own actions and bad decisions - so stop blaming others!
This is a user friendly thread. Please be respectful and courteous to other users. While feature requests will be considered, AquariOS tries to maintain a ROM that is smooth and stable, so adding every feature under the sun is not the plan here.
READ!1. Unless I tell you otherwise, you MUST always, absolutely, positively, most certainly wipe data AND system before flashing AquariOS...without a doubt!
2. Don't report bugs if you haven't followed directions - most likely it's user error at that point as far as I'm concerned.
3. Always run a backup before doing anything.

Q & A
Read this before telling everyone something is broken!
1. Android Pay isn't working!! What do I do?
Go into Magisk settings and toggle on the "Hide Magisk" option. Then try again. Also, I've found once in a great while, even with this enabled, it will say it failed - if this happens, just try again...it'll work.
2. It's bootlooping after flashing ROM with Magisk - now what?
Don't flash Magisk until you have already booted into the new AquariOS build at least once. If that wasn't your issue, sometimes Substratum overlays can cause bootloops. If you have anything applied, flash the SubstratumRescue zip from your substratum directory
3. Why is the built-in System Theme section greyed-out (background, accent, & fonts)?
When the Substratum app is installed, this section will become inaccessible in order to prevent conflicts. You CANNOT use them both at once!
Reporting a bug?
See how to do so here:
BEFORE REPORTING A BUG:
1. Flash the SubstratumRescue zip and see if your issue is still there.
2. If you have flashed a custom kernel or ANY OTHER MODs, delete 'data/system/packages_cache' then wipe dalvik/cache, and flash AquariOS again WITHOUT any additional modifications/custom kernel.
3. Check to see if your issue persists.
*Do NOT even bother reporting an issue if you have dirty-flashed AquariOS over some other ROM! We WILL be able to tell!
Logs are crucial to resolving almost any kind of issue. You need to provide a log in order for the issue to be addressed. Please also include info on how to reproduce the reported bug if possible (maybe even take a screen recording for us ).
If you need a log extracting app, try out CatLog!
Either save your log locally and share it, or paste your log into an online code sharing tool like hastebin.com - then share the URL after hitting the SAVE icon.

How can you stop something that can't be deleted... I must try this ROM from all the eye candy calling me in.
Tried going in download page but its shows nothing's found.

So far the best ROM I've used. Now I'm pretty happy with the Pixel 2.
Thanks for the rom!
Thanks man the ROM is running great. The new TWRP works.
Is it any pictures/screenshots around here, so we can get a look on how this ROM looks like before flashing?
I'm not quite the confident lad when it comes to the Pixel 2. I miss my Nexus 6P because of how much control we as rooting users could exert. Been waiting for this ROM for so long it had made me restless. Thanks OP, will unlock my bootloader and install this soon. Your work is much appreciated.
(especially because the April update on stock sucks bollocks, mate)

But does it have the commits for substratum? Like totally theme all system ui?
noob question as I am coming from a Galaxy S7.
Will the Google camera from Play store work with this rom? aka same camera and quality as on stock?
Thanks.

AOSP Extended is an AOSP based ROM which provides stock UI/UX experience with useful customizations. Being based on AOSP it provides a smooth experience. We have added useful customizations from various other open source projects and have tried to keep our things simple. A ROM by a user, for a user. #BeExtended
#ExtendYourDevice Here are the Extensions! on top of AOSP! We are constantly trying to update the list. Our aim is not to provide all the features available on earth. Our aim is to add important features that we think should be here and also what you think. I guess there is nothing wrong in reading facts!
-Base Of the ROM & Version?
->Rom is based on AOSP. Verison is updated monthly.
-Why no "Incremental/Delta updates" Support?
->Actually the updates we provide monthly are heavily changed and modified than the previous builds. New stuff is merged and added. So we don't provide incremental updates and recommend a clean flash.
-Does this ROM Support Substratum?
->Google killed Substratum support in Pie. You can use it, however, you need to be rooted. We don't support rootless Substratum.
-Which Gapps are recommended?
->OpenGapps
-How do I root this ROM?
->We recommend Magisk
-Will this ROM relock the bootloader?
->No.
-What about XPOSED?
->XPOSED is still in beta stage. We like Xposed but it messes up with the system so before giving any bug reports make sure you have Xposed uninstalled.
-When Will Be the Next Update?
->No ETAs, please. ROM Will be updated whenever the new build is ready by your maintainer. We generally provide monthly updates with latest security patches and new features.
-I am facing FCs, Bugs, Some feature is broken?
->Provide full info about your problem with logcat and the procedure to reproduce it.

Por lo general la correcta que siempre funciona es la "pico".
Por cierto, trata de escribir en ingles porque son estrictos con eso en este foro
As usual the "pico" version it's the ideal for flashing.
By the way, try to use English language here
I just flashed Lineage, first ROM I've flashed on the G7. Was really happy it worked out well, I was going to try this ROM too. Will development be continuing in the future, or was this release just for testing? (I don't mean I'm asking for an ETA for anything, I just wanted to know if the dev who brought it to our device was going to maintain or not)
::edited for spelling error::
Great rom. Have not faced any bugs so far. Hope you continue development @whodat
rom is based off erfanoabdi's tree and yes its maintained as long as i have device..
How long is the first boot supposed to take? I have been on the AEX boot logo for more than 5 minutes, so I presume something is wrong. Please Advise, THANKS!
Working good here! Thanks! Any updates in the works?

Had this problem at one point too, most likely all you need to do is hold the volume down & power buttons for a few seconds, then scroll down to recovery and press the power button. In recovery do a factory wipe then choose to boot the system and it should get you booted up. However it could be more complicated if while flashing your zips in the fastboot booted twrp you didn't keep an eye on which slot ( a or b ) was selected... Hope this helps ?

So I tried your suggestion and I still am unable to load the rom. I see slot A is selected and I believe that doesn't change. My phone just boots to the AEX boot logo and goes no further even after the wipe.
** I never get the option to factory wipe before the rom loads. This must mean I am missing something.. Any ideas?

After installing the packages, try rebooting to bootloader and then from the bootloader scroll down to Recovery and press the power button, factory reset, then boot the system. See if that works ?

sorry for the delay..LIFE happened. LOL
TBH, I haven't tried. partly because its a pain in the patooty to get back to stock! I'm running stock now and want to find a way to take and image of my current rom/config because its actually bearable, except for BT doesn't play well with my 2012 ford escape sync. Titanium Backup used to be able to do this but I haven't rooted and rom'd a whole lot since my galaxy S1, HTC M8, and HTC M9. My G7 boot loader is unlocked and I would like to try again. You seem have good knowledge, would you mind giving me bullet pointing the process you have used?

1. Fastboot boot twrp (whatever it's named on your computer). 2. Flash copy-partitions-AB. 3. Format data. 4. Reboot bootloader. 5. Fastboot boot twrp. 6. Install AEX. 7. Rboot to bootloader. 8. Fastboot boot twrp. 9. Install twrp-installer. 10. Reboot to recovery. 11. Install Magisk and Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt.zip, gapps if you want. 12. Reboot recovery and do a factory reset, or reboot bootloader and enter fastboot -w. Reboot system. Hope this helps. When I first booted it booted on the a slot. I had to change to b slot for aex to boot.
Good work on the ROM! Having an issue, but i first want to mention that I was having the same issue of being stuck on the booting screen and with a little scientific method and the guides provided, I found the issue. It was the gapps that I was flashing that was corrupting the install. I didn't test them all, but using the 12/30 pico version worked for me. Keep in mind the slots as well. Gapps/magisk need to flash to slot b. And make sure that's where you boot from as well after the install.
I may need to reflash to fix this, but I'm noticing that I can't send SMS now. I can receive fine and I know it's not the ROM specifically because during testing I loaded the ROM without gapps/magisk and I held a few text convos.
I've tried a different message app, soft reboot, clear cache, etc, and I can't change APN settings though because Android 9 doesn't have the option. Maybe an additional side effect, I can't connect to a VPN on data even though I can still browse the internet... Any suggestions?
Update: when trying to call "no sim or sim error" is displayed
so, i tried to install the rom, everything went fine, but when i restart, a window appears, saying it was impossible to load the android system, you have two options, try again and factory data reset, when I select the second option, the moto g7 river formats everything, even twrp. please help me
I've been running AEX for about a week now and have not had any problems with it. I really wish double tap to wake was working though. You have done a super job on this. Thanks.

I've try this but when i go to flash gapps, it asked me about arm and not amr64.
I've instal gapps with arc arm and got successfull messenge but not work. The Gapps isn't showing...
Someone help me?
Sorry about my bad english.
Do everything above except installing gapps. After you boot the system boot back into twrp and then install gapps. I had to do this on one of the roms I installed. You might have to resize system also. Hope this helps. What phone do you have?
There are a couple of features in the stock ROM that I do not find in AEX but that I would really like to have, specifically Moto Display's Peek Display and Attentive Display. Did I overlook them (meaning they're there but I just didn't look in the right place)? If not, is it possible to add them?

Hey another day another rom, that's what you might be thinking. but we at stag (I'll try not to use big words, because the idea is to be simple) aim at something towards elegance. We are learners just like everyone out there, This is small something we have started which helps us learn every single day. Why Stag, you might question, my answer would be why not. After all Harry's patronus was a stag(pun intended). Anyway, so the aim here is to provide a really good experience to everyone who uses, everyone on telegram channel can contact us and request, everything will be considered, because if you as users feel something missing, it obviously must be missing. So looking forward for people using our StagOS and giving us all your precious feedback.

Well, has at least the same problems all V30 LOS-17 based "Android 10" ROMs have...
See post #2 of this thread:

If there are any additional issues -- specific to this ROM -- the dev or users will have to answer.

If you follow the former H931 AOSP prep steps.
Same with H933.
Those two variants need additional work to me able to boot AOSP ROMS.

How did you root your H930DS phone ?
LG officially doesn't allow the Indian variant to be unlocked.

Any V30/V30+/V30S in the world can be bootloader unlocked and rooted. Who cares what LG officially allows or doesn't allow?
You actually quoted this post below in another thread. It's your answer. Please go read it and follow the instructions.

Any V30 in the world can be bootloader unlocked and rooted. You need to TEMPORARILY downgrade to earlier firmware, then after bootloader unlock you can update back to newer. I personally only recommend going to last Oreo, but you can update back to Pie to run this ROM if that's what you want.

I've used this ROM as my daily driver for a week. Here's my results.
Device: H930DS Singapore
Base KDZ: 3031A Open EU
GApps: MicroG + FDroid
Things I do
Listen to music. A lot. Over both BT and quad DAC.
Browse internet. I use webapps over heavyweight installed apps whenever possible.
Mapping. Geographical, not "search GMaps for a place to eat".
Take photos. I'm not a high end photographer.
Use work apps that are quite invasive regarding security.
Things I do not do
Gaming.
Streaming.
VR.
Use voice commands.
Use assistants / integrated search functions.
Use dual SIM (my model has it, I just don't use it).
Pros
Very stable. No reboots or other issues.
Supports signature spoofing natively despite not advertising it in the features.
No occurrences of the usual 10 bugs.
Good built in theming options.
Cons
The screen wakes on music track change and there is no option to disable it. This is incredibly annoying. The only way to prevent this is to globally disable wake on notification, which is poor UX. I want my screen to wake when I get an SMS, for example.
No option to customize navigation bar actions, though you can customize the layout.
LED doesn't work (both the LED itself and edge lighting); it never turns on.
Limited options for mobile data: you can customize your APN and preferred network type, but nothing else. No ability to select a specific network, for example.
Changing certain system settings (such as dark mode) causes the wallpaper to revert to the default StagOS paper.
App compatibility issues. None of these are the fault of the ROM, they are known compatibility problems with these apps and 10. I list them so others can get a heads up and not blame ROM devs.
AOSP keyboard doesn't support swipe to type.
Most AOSP apps don't support dark mode. You can override this with developer settings > override force dark but it's still not perfect. I strongly recommend using Darq.
Overall
This is a solid ROM. I really wish there were more usability customization options, but the stability and performance are good. One can install gravitybox to get that extra customization, but I've found this negatively impacts stability and have stopped using it. If you like stock AOSP I highly recommend this ROM. Because of the great stability I will continue to use this as my daily driver for a while and see if I can get used to the usability issues.

->OpenGapps
-How do I root this ROM?
->We recommend Magisk
-Will this ROM relock the bootloader?
->No.

Thanks. New link worked. However, two issues after installing and I can not reboot into system.
1) Seems like if I go to "Mount" in TWRP, my "system" box is unchecked.
2) internal storage become 0MB
I can fix #2 by wiping the "data" for repair then internal storage is back. But for "system", no matter how I tried from "WIPE" to repair the system. It is always "unchecked" after I flashed it again......
Kind of give-up now lol

I did follow the above instruction several times.
Each time I tried (installing AEX package + GAAPs + Magisk). All were successful at the end though at the beginning of the message shows something like below (for all 3 zip installation). But at the end, all 3 zip installations show "installation complete". And the last step, reboot system: the screen only shows "N/A on the top left corner". Can not boot into system.
If I go back to Orangefox recovery, it tells me "data partition is encrypted" Please enter the password or press back button to cancel. Obviously I don't know password. So I pressed back button. Then I saw my internal store is back to 0MB again. . Checked "mount" and "system" box is unticked again. Nothing I can do......

Ok so james recovery partition is only 16mb , the way i had to work around it doesnt allow it to be flashed because its size is more than 16mb. So for now we wont be able to decrypt data partition in recovery , im well aware of that, and just made a work around so that we can flash ROM.
This is what I found... I have the latest firmware for T-mobile it has updated the bootloader as it seems the bootloader will detect data partition and encrypt it. Every time I format the data folder no matter the file system used, it will revert to encrypted and reboot to change the fIle system on the data partition. It usually happens on the circles 3rd pass to reboot. Then after reboot, the circle keeps cycling endlessly. I reboot... and once the system starts, it recommends factory resetting to clear data. Which is the only thing that shows the os is functional.
I need confirmation on SIM card lock not fully unlocking that is causing mantitory encryption of data partition during boot. I think I may found why data partition was encrypted. I had to flash back to the latest factory image, and turn off sim lock and reboot. Even though I turned off sim lock before flashing, it stayed enabled, and showed when I booted freshly from stock rom.
I was able to boot stock rom without sim pin lock... so i would suggest rebooting once you disable sim pin lock to verify before flashing custom rom.
Once this is verified, by fixing data partition encryption, I will then install this custom firmware to my phone. I just need the phone functional more than not, so I can't use it as a guinea pig.
At least i can see one issue for data being encrypted.
Here's what I found again... not only the March firmware for T-Mobile has an updated bootloader, there are many entries of enforcing encryption through out the system properties. Way too many to keep track for me. It's not going to be a build.prop fix to sort it out.
I think to make your rom work, your going to have to replace a few files here and there, in areas not formated by data, and wiping caches.
Maybe finding a way to replace the kernel so it won't enforce encryption.
I can reflash my lastest stock rom fresh and clean, format data and flash magisk and boot into encrypting data, and finish with loading system. No problems rooted and March security on 8.0. So if you can by pass encryption enforcement with your next builds. I would be happy to try again.
Hello,
I am posting this to find out if anyone else has an issue with the touchscreen with this ROM.
I followed all of the instructions to install the ROM but I had to plug in a USB mouse to perform all the actions.
I first noticed the touchscreen didn't work when running OrangeFox and on a whim I figured I would try the mouse.
(I have a USB OTG cable) I was able to get a cursor/pointer in OrangeFox and proceeded following the instructions.
After installation and boot I was greeted with the setup screen (touchscreen still non-functional) and used the USB mouse
to do a minimal setup. The ROM works on my device (moto e5 play james, unlocked/no carrier).
Was just wondering if there was anything I could do about the touchscreen. The ROM does function nicely other than that.
Thank you.

Edit: ADB installation with no issues, FP works. Thanks again.
very good rom, i was in it, but i had a battery wear worse or the same as in oos, if you could correct that the cell goes to sleep and that it does not wear rapidly the battery would be great and hopefully one day they can carry the camera oos to this rom, thanks for your great work and contribution to the op9p community
Guys, just a little reminder, if trying any custom rom you need to let it settle at least for a day or so other than that, this rom is running really smooth, lots and lots of customization. Thanks Dev and team.
If I'm on another custom rom am I able to flash directly over that as long as I flashed that one over 11.2.8.8 or do I need to restore stock oos first?

You wouldn't have to return to stock, but you would need to format data. Or I have a method I use when switching between custom you could try (not guaranteed to work every time): by first just booting Nebrassy's twrp (not installed), wipe cache and data under advanced wipe options (not format), then reboot to lineage recovery and resume the sideload process.
So would it be possible to flash ROM zip thought twrp, then format data, then reboot new ROM?
Yes sir

Ok one last question if I flash this through twrp should I also flash the copy partitions zip and when do I flash that before or after I flash the ROM?

I didn't flash anything else but the rom, reboot, setup and then boot again to TWRP to flash magisk.apk for rooting and that was it.

Awesome thanks!
Been using for a day now, and so far, mostly good. Only issue that actually is getting in my way is the camera doesn't open through gestures (no default camera app?), downloading and installing gcam manually doesn't give the option to assign an app on gesture either, like in other ROMs. Noticing more battery drain than other ROMs, likely attributed to more system services and visual effects, and particularly with the clear theme, my favorite live wallpaper becomes unusable due to rendering it in the bg behind everything causing my phone to be at a high idle temp.
Besides that, some upstream (?) issues I noticed are weird accent color issues that become apparent in Substratum with overlays that rely on the accent, it uses a color I can't reassign for those, but does use my assigned color for things colored automatically through the system. Changing the accent through Substratum itself changes all accents to be that color which causes a problem in my usage with one of the custom status bars included that relies on having a base color and accent color, but that base color is the accent for some things instead of the assigned color, causing my theming to be inconsistent.
Problems aside, this is definitely the most customizable ROM I've used thus far, so long as it gets updates, I think I'll keep using it.
Any screenshot of the rom?
Here is a couple.
Could you maybe remove the DOT wallpaper screen shot plz? Could cause confusion.

Does anyone know if this will work on Verizon's network? I know how picky they are.

Verizon's not "picky" they use different bands (radio frequency) than T-Mobile and use CDMA instead of GSM, all this to say that if stock firmware or a global firmware flash doesn't work with Verizon, a custom ROM isn't likely to either. It's a hardware issue, not a software one. My understanding is that you'll get limited 4g/lte support and no 5g when using a OP9 Pro on Verizon across the board, but I haven't tested this.
