I have a G7 Thinq, Model: LM-G710TM. When I bought I think it said that it can only be used with T-mobile and it has worked perfectly so far since my carrier is T-mobile.
I was looking at the installed apps more carefully and I saw that the phone came with an "Unlock" app and I went ahead and clicked it. Now the app says that the phone has been permanently unlocked and can be used with any carrier.
I was wondering if anybody has tried this and can confirm if the phone is truly carrier unlocked or not ?
I had a few international Sim cards from past travels but they have all been deactivated since I didn't use/recharge them for so long and I can't test it myself.

i have a galaxy nexus Verizon i have had many phones unlocked rooted and romed many of them but i have never had this problem before i whipped data and both cache then i flashed the paranoid droid rom on my phone the other day then the gapps they provided rebooted and then rebooted my phone and never got any service so i put my sim card in my galaxy s3 and still no service looked online at the Verizon website and it said my account had been suspended i have checked esn threw Verizon and completely Odin the phone back and re locked and unlocked it and still the same i reactivated my account and had my cousin try on his sim and account did the same to him in not sure what happened or how to fix please help thanks

While playing far cry 4 I noticed in the corner of my eye that my phone was doing what looked like a profile update but said it was unlocking my UICC and then in a few seconds I get a message saying my "Sim is now unlocked". Could anyone explain?
Edit: ok I guess I should have googled first. Seems normal. Just strange it happened automatically. I never called them to have it unlocked. On my account it shows that my g4 is "DEMOLGLS991" which may have something to do with it. Either way before someone says something, yes I know this should have probably gone in the Q&A section [emoji14]

Hello,
I am unable to unlock the bootloader because of the message indicated in the screenshot. I'm not sure how to proceed I've done a fair amount of Googling and as far as I got was having to pay for some Google Play app in order to unlock something on the phone since it is a Verizon variant of the phone, which I won't be paying a penny for.
This phone is unlocked from Verizon and running android 6 by HTC. I downloaded android 5.1 by HTC and tried going into download mode and all I get is a picture of a phone with a red lightning-bolt icon in it.

When I install sin in a sm-975u note 10+ us version, the airplane toggle lites up halfway dim and no cell service icon is where the signal level is normally the screen has been changed and the boards seem to be correctly matching. When I got the phone it was Google locked I paid an ebay company to fix and seems they did fix frp. The phone had Verizon icons I sold it to a friend he put a at&t sim and the phone didn't work so I put a verizon sim in and no luck. I did a imie on byop on verizon and swappa phone is good to go

I get this annoying notification all day long, it goes away and pops up again after a few minutes. The SIM slot is ok and the SIM card is functional. I tried another SIM card from different provider and the same problem exists. I also select the network manually but to no avail . I called my network provider and they confirmed that everything is fine with the network. This is the first time I have this problem. The phone has never been physically damaged or software modified.
I appreciate any advice or help. Thanks!
