Question Revert to android 10 from Android 11 - Samsung Galaxy A22 4G

My Galaxy A22 4G(Indian version) is on official android 11 stock rom. I observed that there is no quick view option to cast phone screen to TV via WiFi or usbc2hdmi cable which I remember was available earlier (probably in Android 10). So I want to revert back to official Android 10 without causing the Knox to change since my company apps like mail etc will not work. Or if there is a way to add the quick view option(or similar app to cast phone screen to TV via usbc2hdmi cable and wifi) in android 11 without rooting or custom rom then that is also fine. Kindly help. Thanks

wi fi

Thanks. But unfortunately one of my TV doesnt have WiFi. So need to use usbc2hdmi cable for that. Any suggestions?

So just reiterating the original question
If I revert back my Galaxy A22 4G(Indian version) to official Android 10 from android 11 will it cause the Knox to change? Since my company apps like mail etc will not work if it finds out that the phone has been modded.

Well, it depends on the modifications you can make to your phone. Let's say that if you unlock the Bootloader to want to do some modification of the phone, then the Knox state would change and you would lose the warranty of the phone. Return to Android 10 version it is considered a modification of the phone system, but not as serious or experienced as wanting to root the phone. It also depends if the version is official and original from Samsung since it his official firmware.

I mean if you only unlock the Bootloader, it changes the state of Knox. And to return to the Android 10 version does not require the unlocked bootloader, But confirm that this version exists to flash it with Odin

[Q] UK Note 8.0 (GT-N5110 4.4.2) : multiuser missing

Hi - I bought a Note 8.0 for my Daughter for Christmas. She's only 9 so I was planning to setup a restricted user - but I was surprised to find multiuser is not enabled on this device.
Just wanted to confirm before i return it - there's no way I can enable multi-user this without rooting the device, tripping KNOX switch and therefore invalidating the warranty (something I'm not really prepared to do on a device which is only a few weeks old) ?

I had the same problem when I purchased my unit and again after they release the OS upgrade to 4.4.2. After a great deal of searching I found the best method was to do a factory reset. Power the unit down then press and hold the Volume Up Button, Home Button and Power Button. Follow the menus to do a Factory Reset. I tried the Factory Reset from the Setting Menu, but it didn't fix the problem. Afterwards and for almost a year everything has worked perfectly.
Thanks for the reply - are you saying that a factory reset enabled the multi-user feature on your device ?
I just tried it, but unfortunately the result is the same : no 'users' option in the settings and no way to switch users on the lock screen. From what I've read, the multi-user option is disabled in the UK firmware. I guess you must be using firmware from another region ?
You must root, though you will void warranty on kk note 8.0.
Once rooted, add in the build.prop, ro.users=4
Reboot after saving. Have used it on 4.1.2 and 4.2.2, should work on kk.

Hi everybody
I have the same problem. I've rooted and set the ro.users entry. I've also performed the factory reset. I cannot get the option to add another user to be displayed (I suppose it should be in the settings).
Could you please try to help me? Many thanx in advance.

OK, I tested with my testing kk note 8.0 and found Samsung disabled the feature. So, the only way to get it back is to use exposed multi users module to enable the feature.
Ok thank you very much I'll try that.
I've also tried the SwitchMe app but couldn't create new profiles, any experience with that?
The Canadian version (which was one of the earlier 4.4.2 builds to be released) also lacked multi-user, but was easily brought back by using something like Xposed. The US version of the ROM (which came out a few months later) did have it enabled (and it's the ROM I'm running now). Not all 4.4.2 builds were built at the same time and I believe that the later ones (say those built in July or later) have the feature. It could be something that's restricted by region, but I don't think that's necessarily the case here. It was probably an oversight because it runs perfectly fine on my Canadian model and other Samsung tablets they sell here have it enabled by default too. So if you still want the stock ROM but no root, you could try flashing a ROM using Odin from a different country with a build date newer than May 2014. I think that should work without triggering the Knox flag. Just be careful as EU standards for Wi-Fi are different than NA so there might be issues with certain channels in the N band if you're using an EU ROM in the US. Conversely, if you run the US ROM in the EU, you may be in violation of the region's laws governing radio frequencies since some of the bands that the US considers safe are restricted across the Atlantic. So instead, try flashing a ROM from a country that's nearby but was released after June or July. If you need to later on, you can always use Odin to re-flash the stock ROM that it came with before returning it.

Rooting HTC10 in 2016 - simple questions from a noob

Hello
I have a HTC10 bought from official distribution in Europe, Poland, polish telecom operator.
I am currently on Android 6.0.1 (1.95.401.4). Plan to wait for OTA with Nougat and after this, unlock my phone and install TWRP and maybe a custom rom. Since last time I rooted anything was almost 5 years ago, and I heard rumors or true statements, that rooting HTC10 can mess up my encryption I want to find some simple answers to my lack of knowledge.
1. Is it possible after unlocking and rooting or installing custom rom to fall back to my original software and state out of the box, so the HTC service center will service my phone under warranty without noticing anything?
2. Does unlocking and flashing custom rom like LeeDroid mess up or disable entirely Encryption feature? I want to use it.
3. Do I need to s-off to flash custom rom like LeeDroid or similar?
4. If I need to s-off, can I go back to my out of the box software version and lock my phone so the HTC service center will repair it under warranty?
5. How to check what "version/edition" of european HTC I have to download a proper RUU for my phone in case something goes wrong?
I know that flashing anything is connected to wiping my data, that is not a problem.
1. yes, you can go back to complete stock. bootloader unlocking is covered in warrenty
2. Encryption is not messed with, stock you will be encrypted always. with custom roms like leedroid and viper you have to option to turn it off or on. Currently with android N and custom roms you need to run without encryption at the moment for everything to work properly. this is only temporary and only if you want to run N currenty.
3. no, s-off is needed for downgrading firmware or using different firmware then your suppose to most of the time.
4.yes again, this is pretty much same answer as #1
5. hold down the volume down button and power until you boot into download mode. it will display your proper model number and current firmware version
Thank you very much for your answer. I do not plan to flash Nougat right now, I will wait for official release via OTA, after than I will check for custom rom if it supports encryption without problems and then flash it.

Question

I recently bought a Samsung A300FU with android 6.0.1 wanted to download nougat, but it seems I cannot because my OS has been obtained in a different way, my phone says.
Is there a way that I can get the original version and update like a normal phone? can't root the device and it has knox installed on it also. I'm afraid that I'll do something wrong and that I won't be able to use my phone anymore. Anyone that could help me by any chance?

shall i update firmwares?

Hi guys, I just bought a brand new note 10+ N975W (canada version). I'm on stock firmware. It keep asking me to update. Shall I update? which version is best to keep the battery last as long as possible?
Also, can i downgrade to previous versions or stock if i dont like the upgraded firmware?
Yes update. It's probably just security updates at this point, so there would be no reason to go back. The Note 10 firmware is fairly mature by now.
chances are if you bought it recently it is already an updated firmware unless the store is running really old stock, as they tend to produce the devices with the latest firmware at the time of manufacture. basically you would need to find a phone that was manufactured before any updates to get the original stock firmware.
chances are any phone produced this year likely has Android 10 pre installed instead of Android 9 and a much more recent security patch, so in that case you may as well update the phone as it is already updated to an extent.
as for downgrading to an actual launch firmware it's not possible as every so often they make a change that can't be reversed so it stops you going to an older firmware (I know it happend with both Android 10 and the One UI update, there are likely more points)
but in terms of battery use, everyone's numbers will differ no matter the firmware as a lot of it comes down to settings, what its used for and the environment it is ran in.

Since the phone is new. Before getting to far into configuration, run the update, then do a factory reset. It'll do a fresh install of Android 10 and any security updates.
That will give you a nice clean install you can then setup.

You should always update. They are mostly Security Updates, these are for security reasons (Hence the name ). Yeah there are some system modifications and enhancements too but the main reason is to ensure the device is as secure as possible
Is there a custom firmware that works perfectly?
can i root my device?
can i flash to another firmware? Asia firmware for exemple
what are the apps that i can't miss on note 10+?
which firmware that has vietnamese language?
thanks

Question Downgrade to Android 11 on SM-F926U1?

I currently have an Unlocked Z Fold3 purchased directly through the Samsung US site.
Model: SM-F926U1
Baseband version: F926U1UEU1CVC5
I would like to downgrade to Android 11 to see if it resolves the no service issues with T Mobile the update caused. Does anyone know if this is possible?
Yes. Download android 11 package and use Odin

I thought I needed an unlocked bootloader for this? If its that easy is there a way to prevent getting the update to 12?
No, Odin flashes the Android firmware.
Unlocking the bootloader gives the ability to install TWRP, custom ROMs, and delve into the system folder easily. Odin flashes firmware. However, once you update a bootloader, you cannot roll that back...if I remember correctly.
was the bootloader updated in the Android 12 update? if it was that means flashing Android 12 really wouldn't change anything or may not even be possible?
