Question Dolby Atmos for Xiaomi 11 lite 5G NE (Lisa)? - Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE

Is there any way to get dolby atmos in lisa? (I have Indian variant)
I don't like the sound quality at all in this phone and I mainly bought it for media purpose so if there's any way then please answer.

exactly this i was about to ask in this group..dolby in redmi note 10 pro is just awesome...i wonder, why that is not available on 11 lite NE even with latest EU 12.5.9 ! sad !

It is unlikely that such a feature gets added later. Guess there will be some license fee to be paid per device for the installation. Why should Xiaomi pay these fees for already sold units without this feature?

Then why are we paying such hefty amount for this device because it's not worth the amount they are asking for.
There are too many bugs in UI, black crush issue, and dolby vision is useless because the brightness is not at all suitable for it and also the HDR in youtube or netflix does not turn up the brightness automatically. Even the cheaper phones have dolby atmos. And this phone's not at all worth it if they're not fixing issues and adding dolby atmos.

Well the build quality is good and it has good camera for the price range with 5g. Other phones compramise camera or performance or build quality like samsung, they give plastic back. The performance of miui is good and the extra cost is for engeneering such slim and lite phone. This phone is not meant for gaming or entertainment. It's the slimmest modern phone.

This is very dissapointing that Xiaomi did not provided Dolby sound in mi 11 lite series. They provided this feature in cheap phones (redmi note 10). I know that it is less likely that they will gonna provide it through next update.
Even though we should send our massege to Xiaomi to provide Dolby sound. So they can atleast no that their customers are not satisfied.
For that who is reading this go to services and feedback in your Xiaomi 11 lite smartphone. Type and send the massege to provide Dolby sound in their next update.
Send that massege two or three times.

Hi !
Knowing that all variants of Xiaomi Mi 11 lite / lite 5G / Xiaomi lite 5G NE are already finalized products, so there should not be any update that integrates Dolby Atmos.
In theory, Dolby Atmos certified products incorporate speakers certified by Dolby. If the smartphone wasn't Dolby certified when it was made, the speakers aren't either. It is therefore not possible to obtain this certification.
It also costs Xiaomi money. It's like IP68 certifications, Gorilla Glass etc... The more the smartphone is certified, the more expensive it is sold.
It will therefore be necessary to be satisfied with stereo sound without Dolby Atmos.
By rooting and installing Magisk it may be possible to find a Dolby mod but in any case, the sound will not be officially Dolby sound.

Don't you know about Mi 11X?
It got dolby atmos through OTA update. Then why couldn't they do the same with this phone?

Hi !
I'm not sure but apparently the MI 11X had the speakers already compatible (certified) Dolby Atmos but the software was not installed.

Although the sound quality is good. It looks like the sound is too loud at lower levels also. You'll find that the unlock sound itself is too loud. We kind of loose the volume control which is kind of annoying. If you're planning to root just because of this, I'd advice not to.

Xiaomi Noise Cancellation Headphones OnePlus 3 Support?

I really admire Noise Cancellation in this earphone http://www.mi.com/in/earphonetype-c/ for 3k INR which is so impressive. I have found only premium headphones above 7k INR with this feature. Any luck this would play in OnePlus 3?
This Reddit post users says Either mic or Buttons might not work.
This Page claims that "Xiaomi Type-C headphones would only work with integrated audio Type-C smartphones" by any chance this in OP3

No Xiaomi uses priority setups. its like using apples 3.5 jack. not all things will work
anyone who've already bought or tried this earphone with Mi A1, please share whether it is this supported with active noise cancellation on Mi A1? I know that on the product page, its mentioned that ANC is officially supported in Mi 5 & Mi Mix 2, but considering A1 as Mi 5x variant (just release as android one software rebranding) considering the same identical hardware & specs, what can I expect?

I do not agree.
I use three different Xiaomi earphones, very good value-for-money devices.
Unfortunately, ANC (JZEJ01JY) is not recognized by OP3.
Only USB AUDIO PLAYER PRO works with it ...

That doesnt mean much. I was speaking mostly about the developers that would be able to answer that type of question. Xiaomi is not popular on XDA, most developers wont touch their devices.
I have this earphone. The noise cancellation is good enough for me when I am on bus or subway. It works perfectly with my OnePlus 3.

Noise Cancellation works?? I've heard we can't take calls with this earphone on oneplus phones
so, no one here properly uses it or test this earph with Mi a1 so that could say something about compatibility?
Have it it works! Using zenity Rom! But don't like it doesn't work with Arise, viper4fx, atmos still prefer my setup with the hybrid pro and it gets better cancelation noise.

Only SBC with Sony WH-1000XM3

Hey guys,
i got my a2 lite today and updated it to Android 9.0
After connecting it to my WH-1000XM3 Headphones, it shows only SBC?
Is this a bug from the new update?
I tried the headphones on a other model of the same smartphone with android 8.1 and they were connected with aac.
So I'm wondering, if this is caused by the new Android version?
Does somebody have the same problem?
AAC is missing. I've tried all of my aptX & AAC gear including my new ATH-M50BTx and they will not move past SBC. Really disappointing. Oreo had it.
Than we can only hope, that they fix it with the next update...
What a shame.
Is this a measure to reduce licensing cost, or just an omission?
It might be worth repeating on the official Mi forum to raise the profile?

This would quickly make me buy another phone and dump both of the A2 Lites I own. AAC is the minimum any phone of this caliber should be capable of
I reported this in the "Feedback" app, and I highly recommend others do as well.
I want a Nokia 7.1 but the tiny battery really turns me away for that price.
I also reported it in the official forum of mi.
But yes, it is a shame. That's probably the reason why I'm gonna return the phone.
But what is an alternative?
Theres a magisk module for that.
That's weird. On my A2 Lite I've got working AAC with my WH-H900N . My version of software is V10.0.2.0 (Android 9) .
And yet with Magisk module you can get even aptX.

I bought mine (Global Version) over Amazon. And had the V10.0.2.0.PDLMIFJ Version
Or was there another update?
About the Magisk-tipp i've read some posts, that this doesn't work.
Only SBC with Anker Soundbuds Slim+
On V.10.0.3.0.PDLMIXM only SBC with Anker Soundbuds Slim+
Solved the problem with rooting my device and install the necessary libraries over Magisk.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/port-aptx-aptxhd-oreo-8-0-update-jan-t3731151
Now i can use my headphones with APTX-HD
Seems like Google is saying this is down to Xiaomi to include the right libraries - this is not good.

Accessories Redmi Bluetooth Earbuds.

I'm looking to buy the new Redmi AirDots 3 Pro bluetooth earbuds.
Currently they are only available in China, but will likely be released Globally as Poco Pop Buds/Redmi Buds 3 Pro.
My questions:
Does matter which version of the earbuds buy (Chinese version or Global version)?
Anyone have experience buying Xiaomi Chinese version bluetooth earbuds and getting it to work in Xiaomi.EU or Global rom?
Hi!
Yes, it matters.
First of all, both the global and Chinese versions are the same product and have the same audio quality.
but there are some pros of buying the Chinese version:
You'll get the product earlier since every Xiaomi product is first released in China.
And, you'll be able to use XiaoAI (MiAI) app. This app allows you to update your earphone's firmware, and also to configure the button's action (You could configure them to go to the next and previous song).
This app is only compatible with Chinese airdots, not with global versions (It's kinda weird, but that's how it works)
So, long story short, if you buy the Chinese version, you'll have a few more functionalities.
I bought Airdots 3 (Non-pro version) recently. As far as I know, the audio quality and connectivity are pretty much similar to the airdots 3 pro, but they'll have wireless charging and active noise cancellation.
Regular Airdots 3 doesn't have these two features, but they're more affordable and have better battery autonomy.
doesnt matter as much. same audio quality(audio quality is all that matters right? who cares about those ai updates)
Just waiting for some reviews, will probably wait for the Poco version.
Apparently voice prompts are in Chinese on the Redmi version.

sometimes, those apps can actually improve audio quality, connection stability, and battery consumption. There will be some improvements, so I don't think those updates aren't important at all.
But anyway, the difference in audio quality between global and chinese won't be anything impressive or incredibly high

Not necesarily, You can use either XiaoAI and Google Assistant on the Redmi Version
XiaoAI is only available in simplified mandarin
But Google Assistant is available in every language, so that isn't a problem at all. You won't even have trouble configuring anything, because the earphones will use google assistant if it is your default audio assistant. So nope, you won't have problem with chinese voice prompts

The ear buds should be working with other brand phones, but in case if the app does not work, or some issues appears, better ask how to solve issues in your phone forum.
People here can't solve your issue, unless they have Samsung Galaxy S7 or Samsung phones to test on or had some experience on Samsung phones.

Do you have a guide on how to update manually?
To update manually you have two options:
1. Turn on alternative server in app's settings, this is my server with all that firmwares I published on Github. Than just go to the main screen and check for updates as usual
2. Fully manual - on the main screen tap several times on battery views, then scroll down, there you should find "Update from file" menu item. Just select the OTA file and flash it.
Error at the could arise, but not always this is actually error, because it compares FW versions installed and online, and if they differ error pops up, in case of manual installation version online could be the same or even smaller, so this is OK to see the error message in this case.

I'm currently using the same Redmi AirDots 3 Pro earbuds (Global Version) and for the most part I haven't had any issues with them. The sound quality is great and there battery life is great.

Question F3 - Worth it?

I read about some problems like:
- Proximity sensor
- Some ads in the rom
and some other bugs and that is disappointed after all...
Xiaomi MIUI software is not good about all? I think they not going to fix the proximity sensor.
Or that is better buying some OnePlus device?
Xiaomi.EUI is better than Global and debloated?
proximity sensor is definitely an issue when you're in a call the screen does not lock properly, anything software related can be fixed only time will tell if it's a good device, for me i always buy phones around $400 so this one was my go to choice

if you're buying a phone and want clean software out of the box, Pixel phones are ur best bet for a budget, they are the closest manufacturer to apple when if comes to reliability, all other brands have buggy software at best, oxygen os might look like stock aosp but it's very poorly designed.

Depends, if you plan to play heavy game (genshin impact for example), it's a perfect "budget" phone. But if playing isn't your primary goal, there are better globally phone.
Proximity sesnsor has been fixed to a degree (I don't notice a problem on my unit at all), of course there will be more firmware updates to iron out the rest of the minor kinks.
I don't game or use the camera too much, it was between this phone and the Redmi Note 10 Pro (I didn't want an olrder device from Xiaomi simply because one more year worth of updates is well worth the trade off).
For me, the price difference would have been minor if I got the 8/128GB version of the Redmi Note 10 Pro instead of the 8/256GB Poco F3.
So I went with the better looking, better built, better performing, better features (120Hz AMOLED, Dolby and X-Axis Haptics) and IMHO the better value phone (Xiaomi.EU China rom versus Xiaomi.EU Global rom on the Redmi Note 10 Pro).

He needs to decide what's important to him, performance or camera or spend more for both.

How much I need to spend more for the both things?
Not take pictures a lot but yeah play games.
I read that the proximity sensor is hardware problem.
Maybe OnePlus 9R for better software and without bugs?
I don't get all the fuzz about the proximity sensor. It's "weird" in that it combines accelerometer and camera, but it does work, unless you make phone calls while lying down on the bed. I've had no issues with it whatsoever.
OnePlus 9R is a great alternative, the main camera support OIS and it has the same chipset as the Poco F3.
And yes with more optimized and arguably better software, it's pretty affordable too.
Perhaps if you wait a bit more after the summer, we might see a Mi 11T and Galaxy S21 FE.

So maybe 9R worth it? yeah that is 100$ more but you got better software..
But if you got the 9R.. you can added 100$ more and got the regular Oneplus 9... so..
Write down your reason to buy new phone.
Write your need in priority order, we are not you, we don't know your situation. Worth or not is subjective.
Camera, SoC, local price of phone, warranty, system update, community, reason to buy phone, where you live, budget limit ... etc.
Remember, no compare no despair. Get use to phone you buy.
Suggest you buy all, Poco F3 + OnePlus 9R + OnePlus 9. Worth? Yes worth, 2 for me and you keep one. Worth for me.

You have the option of stopping some adds, uncheck all kinds of miui optimization, referrence, suggestion, feedback, also some option ull find in developer mode. I have done it in mu Poco F1, didnt find a single add in 2years of use. I havent bought the F3 yet but hopefully its the same principle. You can remove bloatware via xiaomi fastboot tool. U dont need to unlock the bootloader.
It seems mostly that you're searching reasons to not get the Poco F3 instead of asking if is worth or not
In your case, get a OnePlus 9R/9 or a Pixel phone and you will be fine, their software is easily a ton better that Xiaomi MIUI and they shouldn't have the issues you mentioned either (Proximity sensor and ads)
I agree, he's nitpicking at the flaws of phone instead of thinking of what he needs in a phone and comparing it with the competition.
There's no perfect phone out there regardless of money and just for record, "I don't like Apple products".

Question Q¿Q

QQ I'm tired of sitting here on Redmi s2 and waiting for POCO F3. What do you say about him?
I'd recommend the Samsung A52s/A53 over the F3 for everyday use just because of how Samsung's OneUI is years ahead of the MIUI; plus the hardware is not bad at all. If you are gaming, however, get the F3.

Why would anyone stick to MEMEUI !
The hardware of F3 is pretty good. OS isn't a problem since this forum exists.

I'll tell you why people would stick to MIUI: Dolby Atmos & MIUI Camera.

You can get Dolby Atmos with magisk. As for MIUI camera. It's still not ported to A12 though it works on A11.
If those two are all what you're looking for! Why bother buying a badass phone like F3 !

Bruh. Have you ever tried any of the Dolby Atmos Modules? They sound rubbish. They don't use the Qualcomm Hardware Audio Capabilities. They only do Software-based Surround sound.
"MIUI Camera isn't ported to A12 yet": Yeah it's these things that make me stay on Stock ROM, you can hate on MIUI all you want, but at least there I get all features I paid for.
