Install custom ROM or root with out unlock bootloader - Sony Xperia XA2 Questions & Answers

Hi my Sony Xperia xa2 say bootloader unlock no is there anyway to force software or at least root with out unlock bootloader thanks

This is not possible. In order to flash anything to the device, the bootloader must be unlocked. The whole point of the bootloader lock is to prevent flashing anything; firmware is updated via OTA.

i know sony does the unlock bootloader on their website. so i know how to get it unlocked
now if i unlock my bootloader, i know that it voids my warranty and something about certificates but if i unlock it and flash custom roms and kernels and stuff. if sony decides to bring out there ICS update at the end of march and i want the update i would have to relock bootloader and reflash a stock rom & and stock kernel (depending on what i flashed)
and if so does n e one know how to relock bootloader???

[Q] Can I root without unlock the bootloader or to locked it again?

Hello guys, sorry because may be this is the 50th time someone ask this question but the situation change every day. Yesterday I won from lottery and decide to go from G3 to G4. My model is European H815, I want to ask you can I root G4, change the recovery and e.t.c. without unlocking the bootloader? And also if I unlocked it is their any way to locked it again or to use my warranty? Thank you!!
well you can only root using low effort root(google it or find it here ) But to change recovery you have to unlock bootloader
No there is no way confirmed to relock your bootloader
GOOD LUCK
Thank you! If I root by this way and download Flashify and try to change recover what will happen ? Thank you!
without bootloader unlocked nothing will chnage ( recovery wont be installed ) and when you reboot your phone it will get u error (authentication error #9) as i remember and you will have to flash new firmware using lg flash tool 2014 so i dont recommend you do so
if u wanna change recovery unlock ur bootloader
you are welcome anytime
I did not get it, I hope you can light me up:
1. Doing root using low effort root means rooting without unlocking bootloader? (because I flew over the thread and did not read anything about it)
2. If I do unlock Marshmallow's bootloader, what happens when I downgrade to Lollipop via flashing proper KDZ? (I would guess that the unlocked bootlader will be overwritten!? So flashing Marshmallow again would end up in a locked bootloader, doesn't it?)
thanks
You can root lollipop without unlocking bootloader but with marshmalow you can't, you have to unlock the bootloader.
You need an unlocked bootloader for custom recovery.
Bootloader unlocking is a one way operation , you can't go back.

How to root ZUK Z2 without unlocking bootloader?

Is their a way to root ZUK Z2 without unlocking the bootloader first? I don't want to unlock bootloader as it will void the warranty. I figured, phone can be unrooted easily too if can be rooted without unlocking bootloader and helps save the warranty.
You have to unlock bootloader first in order to gain root access. You can relock bootloader and regain warranty after flashing ZUI 1.9.004.But don't relock bootloader on custom roms as it can result in brick.

Can I update with unlocked bootloader?

I am stock firmware and havent touched it. I only have unlocked bootloader of my moto g5. Can I OEM update with unlocked bootloader?.
I saw an article for locking bootloader and it said to flash the firmware again. As I am already on untouched firmware, can i directly lock my bootloader? I have bricked a device in the past and so don't want to do that again.
