Hello guys,
I was asking myself -seeing as there's a GCam port that works for our device- if it's possible to port the Samsung Galaxy A8's camera app for our Galaxy A series 2017?
Daylight pictures using HDR are pretty good, but having to select HDR mode everytime gets tiring. I've read the A8 has auto HDR with instant capture unlike the ~1s processing on our device.
I'm not demanding this app to be ported, just asking if it's possible and if some dev decides to do it I would be grateful for his work independently of the results.

Anyone have an Oreo S9+ camera I could install? I love most of the Pie update, but this camera is terrible. I mean, they completely cut pro video recording from the phone... I can't set the ISO, Manual Focus, etc. anymore...

Most of the gcam ports on android 9 have issues applying HDR+ to the front camera of the mi a2 lite. the one im running only takes front facing photos on burst mode and doesn't properly use HDR+. However that is my experience and there are other GCam builds to test. i recommend not upgrading to Android 9 pie and stay on Oreo if you want a good gcam port
Is there a fully working version of gcam for notr 10+? I run into many errors and crashes when using gcam on this phone and I've tried MANY versions. Here are some of the crashes:
With "enable aux button" enabled, photos from the first lens cannot be saved.
With focus tracking on and then selecting the rear camera for video. The app freezes and closes.
There are many more but these are just a few. Is someone working on or is there a stable version for Note10+? The gcam photos are so much better than the stock samsung app.
After hours of brute force and little logic, I think I've configured a Stable enough Gcam for S22 S9010

All Photo modes on all cams
HDR (Default is HDR net, you may change it to hdr+ e)

Video 4k 60 fps on wide and main cam
What doesn't work: (Advanced Video, which work better on Samsung cam anyway)
8k recording toggle in settings breaks gcam completely
Video with 3x cam
Slomo/time lapse broken

For me actually the 1x lens and selfie cam are not working.
Selfie cam is working on video.
In the end i deleted the app again, for me it's far from stable and many lenses/options not working.
Really appreciate your efforts, so with any updates happy to try again!

This one worked for most other people, I wonder what's different in s901b?
Mostly diff lens IDs (which should be easy to find)

Photos from main lens are not saving, other lens are working. Any suggestions?
Thank you. Snapdragon S22 here. I tried about 8 gcam mods with no success until I found this one. Sadly, zoom lens doesn't seem to work, but main lens is (as well as wide). Haven't tested wide, but main seems to produce marginally better images than the stock camera app.

However this gcam does the same "trick" as other version for me - a rainbow tingle/effect across the photos. Anybody else also experiencing this, please?
