Question Call recording Native SM-G990B - Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

Hello Guys,
thanks to efkosk in S22 Ultra thread I tried to change my CSC to SEK (Ukraine) again via SamKey.
Native recording is available
I don´t care about other functionalities like Pay or anything similar, so result may be working call recording without other features, please consider it
before you perform such change of CSC.
I do not know how it is working, but samkey didn´t lower my credit for changing CSC, it may be the thing once you change it for one IMEI, all the rest changes are
free of credit ? I had two credits, changed the CSC already 3 times, but credit still remains 1.
So hopefully positive info for some of you.
Take care

Phone.apk with call recording..

Edit:
Not working yet.
The phone app will crash when your record is stopped.
Created .3gp files are empty.
See page 2 for logs.
This is "our" Phone.apk modified, not the asian one.
Also tried with the asian libs, but they seem to be the same.
Btw: Who added [Hack] to the title ._. ..
Cool, thanks for your effort. I'll wait for someone to check it out

I extracted the Phone.apk from Asian Firmware from samfirmware.com..
and I think it supports the sound recoring we know the asian firmwares have.

I too so thought.. but imho that's record videocall
thanks for the effort
I did the same thing with the korean phone.apk (deodex and replace original files). it didn't work either, just FCs.
I still believe the Korean phones have the hardware needed to record phone audio. Until someone gets this to work
According to this thread :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9088397&postcount=32
call recording is allowed by hardware. If there's a developer to a find a solution for it, he'll be taking some of the bounty supercurio was looking for in his months-old thread about sound tweaks, that seems not supported now.
Call recording is a must feature for quite few of us.
I dont believe its disabled in hardware. (expensive solution)
I think its disabled in kernel code. (cheap one)

+1
cheap phones have this function is standard
and 500 € phone, could`t cause harware issue
half of samsungs code consists of appending strings for logging.
need this functions too
Don't want to promise anything, but I'm quite excited at the moment...
At the moment it crashes when saving the record.
Saved .3gp files empty.
continue m8,we do not hurry
maybe the interaction with native driver fails, not sure about it. Hoping it's not.
Posting your log might help.
Heck even dmesg might.
I am willing to donate for this feature if we could get it to work.

It obviously already crashes before hitting "stop":

Edit: Seems to be a native or even hardware problem, so I'm out at this point.
Btw: Samsung called setAudioEncoder and passed 3, whereas the docs only specify 0 and 1, tried both but did not help.
I've attached the apk.

Hi!
call recording on sgh-m100s works different. as you can see in the wm8994 initialization code (wm8994-aries.c).
see: hxxp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=842740
you won't be able to record through the means you specified.
i was able to change the wm8994 code in jpm firmware (latest available on opensource.samsung.com) to the sgh-m100s one to record but video call recording was broken. so that is not the way i prefer.
another interesting class is inside libaudio.so. it's called voicecallrecorder which seems to record through the svnet0 interface (ipc to radio).
it could be an option to write the necessary jni classes for that.

Any news yet? It's a good idea if it can be made to work.

Call recorder, root and samsung pay

I'll try how manage my future s9 ( but this is valid for s8 or note too) to have native call recording enable and samsung pay.
Right now I'm a little bit confused about it: native call recorder is enabled by default in Korea, China, Japan and Vietnam (for as I know) and in s8 we can't flash original rom of one of this country without root ( on SM-G950F) and I won't root because samsung pay not work otherwise.
Somebody knows if there is a country (CSC) for international variant with native call recorder and samsung pay enabled?
Why can't you root. I'm pretty new to this, but doesn't flashing a rom pretty much make stuff think your phone is rooted?
You could use a third party call recorder if you want.
Third Party Recorder doesn't work
All have the same problem. You can look here

Third party call recording apps work fine in Snapdragon variant without root. You can use SM-G9600 model which is Hong Kong variant of Galaxy S9 with dual sim capability.
I'll be in U.S next week, I'm thinking of buy one there. thank you

[Req]Samsung Galaxy Watch 46mm guide

As the title said I have a galaxy watch 46mm. IT hasR800xxu1dsl1 software with 4.0.0.7 tizen.
Are there any guides on how to make galaxy pay work on this one?
Found some tutorials but don't really know what firmware I need to use, or how to use via netOdin, so I would appreciate a little guide on how to change the firmware, and what firmware to use on my watch to make it work with galaxy pay.
Thanks all!
From what I read I need only the csc file for usa to allow me install samsung pay, but can't find it anywhere...
Update: Switched firmware to R800xxu1dtg1 still samsung pay is not working
Updated to this
When installing samsung pay apk watch plugin
With this version is the same
Actually, it is not because of Samsung rather then your bank credit card issuer.
So, you CAN NOT use SamsungPay because your country (Romania if I am correct) is not on the Samsung billing list of supported countries.
There are only very limited countries supported by SamsungPay...Even if you change CSC code, it will not work because your credit cards issued in your country are not recognized inside app. I tried here in Croatia myself, changing multiple CSC codes, but no success ,therefore, we need to wait from Samsung and our Banks to add our countries on their credit card billing supporting list.
So far, actual full country list with supported SamsungPay countries until now is here
https://www.samsung.com/ch/samsung-pay/support_en/
I also went through all this process and ended up succesfuly. I also live in Croatia where SPay is not officially supported nor we have supported bank cards.
Since I'm using Curve card (UK card) I had to switch my watch to BTU (UK) CSC. I said "I had" because Curve has limited SPay only to UK region**. This was long time ago and I can't help much because process was quite complex and I don't want to mess somebody's watch. I managed to downgrade GW46 to tizen 4.0 and change CSC, and then update it to newer BTU firmware.
I saved links I used so here they are, hope they help:

Since I have changed CSC, I also got SPay option in Wear app (right next to Bixby option) so I could proceed with adding a card to my watch
** I think later Curve has enabled SPay for other regions where SPay is supported because I managed to add this UK card to my canadian Note 9 (XAC). Teoretically, you could use other CSCs on your watch in order to add Curve card - NOT tested, cannot confirm 100%!
You have to have CARD supported by SPay + CSC REGION where SPay is officialy supported. If any of these two parameters are missing, process will fail. No need for VPNs, location spoofing etc.

{CLOSED} I need help from someone who has BOUGHT an OPEN/FREE/NO CARRIER based Samsung Galaxy S20 ultra

Hy,
When a buyer of an open/free/no carrier based Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra owner reads this then I need to know what he sees when his device rooted in the map /efs/sec. efs/!SVC and /efs/sec. efs/SVC
Because my csc is original: ATL/ATL,ATL/EUX/ATL I got it changed into PHE/PHE,PHE/EUX/ATL with samkey.
After long searching in root I found the maps efs/sec. efs/!SVC and efs/sec. efs/SVC and in those maps is a long text with written in between customercode "ATL" and type "DST"
changed in both maps ATL to PHE but then I got this notification "there has been made unauthorized changes to the phone please contact customer service" after logging in into Samsung account.
So an owner of an open/free/no carrier based Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra can he/she give us a complete copy of what you see in those maps, please.
Then I guess whe can change it without getting that notification that there has been an authorized change to our phone!
In my case I should need to have someone who has an open/free/no carrier based one from Spain with the code PHE! Then I am sure that I can copy what needs to be changed by comparing it!
How many threads on this are you going to start?!

Question Recording calls with apk

Good evening, I'm going to upload two screenshots so you can see what I'm looking for.
I have an S23 Ultra and I remember, with an old Huawei, installing a 489kb apk that, without asking for any special permissions, modified the 'phone' app and included a modification to be able to record calls with maximum quality.
I've been looking for the author of the file for a while and I don't know who it was, but he's a genius. Is there something similar for Samsung? No root, no csc change, no hassle...just 0,5 Mb.
This option should come from home. When you call any company the first thing they say is: 'For security reasons this conversation may be recorded...'. And I ask ... what about our security?
