On my Redmi Note 9 Pro Global, running MIUI 12.5.4 debloated, rest all stock. In Google Playstore if I wanna downland a paid app, get the option for carrier billing. But when clicked on it displays account has been closed.....
What does that imply, how to fix/restore it?
All my paid apps purchased earlier are linked to that account.

I am new to this (i got my desire before 3 days) and i haven't rooted it or anything (yet i guess).
So what i wanted to ask is why i can't find on the market some well knows apps like "SwitchPro Widget" or "Fancy Widget Pro" (although i can find Fancy Widget) or even Beautiful Widgets.
They are just not on the market.
I have tried to install them from appbrain but since it also links you to the market i can't do it.
Can you please help me on that?

Paid apps are probably not available in your country.
Once rooted you'll be able to circumvent this with MarketEnabler.
Do you mean every paid app? Because i have downloaded LauncherPro (and paid for it) without any problem.

afaik, Launcher Pro (Plus) is a different case, where you install the free version, then paypal the dev for the code to unlock the full version.
Much like how paid apps are not available in some countries, I have already read that some devs in a couple of countries are having trouble getting paid version of their apps on the marketplace, and have instead opt for a "donate" option on top of the free version of their app.
I didn't find this mentioned anywhere..sorry if its old news

it provides a link in the app to download the amazon us app store (i cant find it anywhere else to download..so it was a big deal)

Do you need to use an amazon account that is registed to the usa?
i signed in with my uk email and password....
You need to set up payment and re-enter your phone number in the 1 click ordering part (even if you are downloading free apps). But you just click payment and your card detail for your non US account come up and you just confirm it.
They make you set up payment before you can take advantage of free apps etc....so you are more likely to buy pay-for-apps if its already set up (marketing tactic)

I got my phone yesterday from giztop.com
apparently its the Chinese version
when I download the GMS core app from various links on google , during the initial run it tells me some google services need to be uninstalled specifically GOOGLE PLAY SERVICE UPDATER but it cannot be uninstalled no matter how many times the pop up tries to uninstall it
even from apps manager from setting I can stop it from running but am unable to uninstall it
can any one who has faced this issue help me out ?

Google play store was not visible on my AL00 at first. I went to app gallery and it had an option to update it.(not recommended ) it said. After I updated it showed up on the phone.
Just update it on the app gallery all Google stuff are built in you only have to download google calendar sync
Hello, just got mine Yesterday as well. Purchased for me by a Family at a Huawei Store in Beijing. I got me the 8/256 Version. Have followed the instructions above & as well as Youtube. I installed GMSInstaller & Google Installer but non of it seems to work... Any other possible way will greatly be appreciated.. Cheers !!

I had faced the same problem
I had the same problem in my Huawei Mate 20 Chinese Phone. Solved it by changing the language to Chinese through App Gallery and thereafter searching for and installing Google Play. It really worked fine.

How were you able to do the search in the App Gallery if the language was Chinese?
mate 20x 8gb, 256gb evr-l00
I have the evr-l00...
followed this instruction, changed the app gallery to china (region), even if the whole thing is in chinese, type in "Google Play" in the search box on the top of the page, hit enter, and there came Google Play Store.
Installed it... removed most of the chinese apps, installed all useful google apps, and that's it, viola!
still working perfectly up to now.
my only gripe with the chinese version (when used elsewhere, except china)... is that u will not be able to fully configure the mobile data limits as the 'region' and 'network providers' are all in chinese, for China-based networks.
do samsung daily app will show more cards related to csc ??? i only have 5 cards in my s20 ultra ,, xsg csc

wherever it is that you setup your samsung account - as the service uses samsung account customisation services -eg Im in UK so i only see UK cards
it also depends on how many apps/services that support the services you got downloaded
eg: you dont have netflix or spotify - you wont see those cards
you dont have the weather channel app - you wont see that card etc

I recently got S20Ultra and hating every second of it. But not gonna rant aboout that here.
I also have the same issue with Daily. I tried contacting samsung for help but I think that I talked to a robot because all answres were super idiotic and not related to my question.
I used something like Daily on a Huawei P20Pro and I guessed it works like that..but nooo (this is the worst overpriced phone I have ever used). Software is horrible. (last rant )
In my Cards list I only have Netflix, upday news, Galaxy Store/Themes, GIPHY and Instant games.. so only default cards that came out of the box.
I have no way of seeing any other cards in that list, I tried installing spotify, flipboard but it does not show on the card list.
Customization services are enabled and I tried looking through some settings or Samsung apps if I can change something but failed to find anything I might need to setup differently.
Also about Upday news. it only shows UK news and some default interest although I installed the app and setup my location and interests there. It all works in app but cards are always only UK.
I live in Serbia BTW.

I am a user from Russia using Xiaomi phone. This morning I received a notification from, seemingly, Xiaomi with recommendation to switch over to Google SMS app from original Xiaomi SMS service. The reason I've decided to create this thread is because once I had installed the Google SMS app as default I ran the Xiaomi security scan which brought up a security breach notification for SMS service. The latter notification seems to contradict the earlier one: if Xiaomi wanted its users to switch from one app to the other, then how come that Xiaomi security app does not approve the changes such replacement would cause ? So I would appreciate your comments. Thanks.
