Accessories Let's Talk Cases.... - Google Pixel 6 Pro

So I have spent quite a bit of time searching around for some good cases for the Pixel 6 Pro , I bought one of the soft silicone official Google ones, a Dbrand Grip, and a Ghostek Nautical Slim waterproof case. The Google one is a complete waste of money and offers no real protection in my opinion. The one I have had my phone in since I bought it a couple days after getting my P6P is the Ghostek Nautical Slim, and let me tell you, I absolutely love this case!! Offers every protection you could ask for to keep your expensive investment safe. It's not bulky at all in comparison to other water resistant offerings on the market and even some standard rugged cases. Once in a while I'll get a failure to read on the fingerprint reader, but I would say it's maybe 1 in every 50 tries, to me that's negligible. Long story short, the Ghostek Nautical Slim is a case I definitely recommend for the P6P! Got mine off Amazon for $39.99 and was at my door 2 days later.
So my question to all of you is what other cases do you all use that you absolutely love and swear by!!! I'll post an Amazon link to the Ghostek Nautical Slim and encourage you all to do the same if possible!!

There are tons of other threads in this section that mention case in the title, but my answer is short and simple. My wife and I always use OtterBox Defender.

I can't stand those cheap built-in screen protectors. They all have a dot matrix and the Newton ring effect. But glad you like it and you're satisfied with it. Dbrand grip with the leather skin and Whitestone combo have been treating me well.

This what I have and it's great. I also got one for my OnePlus 9 Pro and for my Samsung Galaxy z Fold3

I had the Parallax for a Galaxy Note 10 I used to have and absolutely loved that case! Just felt so good in the hand

Parallax!

I got the Zagg Havana

Also Team Parallax
It's just a shame that it doesn't have the recess ("hole") for a cord like the Caseology Vault has

Alluminium seems not to protect enough IMHO...
p.s. I have already the original crystal case from 1+1 store but it's too slippery ( I'm thinking to use on it the sandpaper to make it less sleppery, what's your opinion? )
Thank you all
I recently got the Diztronic Ultra TPU case (cannot post links yet, but googling it will take you to their site right away), would you consider that a bumper case? Seems like it offers decent protection and the looks and build quality is pretty solid as well.
Seems good but I cant understand if it has the back or not.. I prefer not to have it because I like the matte back of my OPO
Those kind of bumpers don't exist for the OPO unfortunately. Evolutive Labs failed to kickstart one, and then there's the aluminum one...
I've looked all over.
Diztronic cases have a backing.
Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
That's very strange! Does the diztronic is thick or fits well in the pocket?
Indeed mate I'm looking for a bumper like this, can't believe there's only the cheap aluminum one.

Don't forget to hit thanks!
why doesn't someone get a normal tpu case and use a hot copper wire to cut out the back? it'll basically be a bumper and it'll look pretty decent
People, don't go and buy cases and think that cutting out the back would make a bumper case, it does not. The case looses all rigidity and the middle section is all floppy. I did this on a galaxy nexus and lg g3 case, neither time did it work. A bumper case is engineered differently to be rigid all around. Don't waste money thinking cutting a case would work.
Just my 2 cents.

Orzly
The two parts are made from two different parts so they can be taken apart if enough force is applied. We would not advise this as the polycarbonate back is there to protect the back of your handset.
The G3 case I used was basically the same, hard back and tpu bumper, was the same, floppy once removed. It really makes no sense destroying a perfectly good case.
bump...
any bumper yet?
Hey! I use TPU diztronic case ( the one with bumpers on corners )
It protected my device when it feel on corners .
Makes your phone a bit heavy and shabby too.
Back doesn't feel like the sandstone , but we have to compromise for protection.
it is unbelievable that the oneplus one has no accessories at all!
the diztronic case is very expansive.. as there are no alternatives.
Diztronic here too.
I've had this Diztronic on my OPO for 2 years now, has protected several corner falls on concrete..

Having trouble finding a protective case, any top picks?

Hey guys,
I am late to the Nexus 5 owner parade, but none the less really enjoying this phone. I have not been able to find a good case for it though, most are very slim and cover the back and sides but not top and bottom. Amazon has mixed reviews on alot of the more popular cases, but I'm guessing most of the cases might be hidden somewhere deep in the pages since the phone is a few years old. Any suggestions on a good protective case, something like an otterbox commuter series style versus a defender, I don't need all out protection, just good dual layer setup. I like the ballistic case, but I have ordered 2 and both were labeled Nexus 5, but for the Nexus 6
Appreciate any advice and feel free to post up pics of your setup you recommend if you are using it.
Slim armor by Spigen. even the false one from china are very good quality.
I've had this on mine for 2 years now and inside my phone is absolutely mint condition still

@Ben36 is possible to use tempered glass with that case?
Yea it'd work, but the tempered glass would be under the cases own protective screen. Unless you mean rip the cases screen out all together, which again would work. But i honestly wouldn't say you'd need to. It's protected mine perfectly for 2 years and I'm on building sites etc
Sent from my Xperia z5 using Tapatalk
ringke fusion or spigen ultra hybrid. imo they've got quite good drop protection. almost 2 years using em.
I actually currently have the spigen ultra on my Z5. It's a really nice good fitting case. No where near the protection of the armourbox but still pretty good. I'd say if the armourbox was a 10 the spigen is about a 6-7 on protection. So if you don't want really rugged and just good decent protection then the spigen is really good

Nice looking, but I would not call it "protective" if you dropped it.
Use Bugdroid Case from Cruzerlite. Best Case. U can watch videos on you tube ppl dropping nexus 5 in it and its a good protection in less then 10$
I have the Tech21 Impactology case, and it's pretty good.

I have Spiden Neohybrid.. and this is good.... it has so many times saved my phone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8Wtrdn0R-Q
I have had both soft and harder cases from miniinthebox. Cheap and do the job well.
Best Case Brands!
If you need at least a list to choose, here are my picks:
1. Cruzerlite Bugdroid Circut
2. Caseology TPU Case
3. Diztronic Matte Black
4. Spigen Neo Hybrid (Best color is red
So far I have a history with Cruzerlite and Spigen, but I have recently bought a Caseology case from YouTube reviews that were really good.
Ringke Fusion. It's great and holds up well even after 1.5 years of use.
Spigen Slim Armor, durable and good looking. Totally worth the price.
Spigen
Spigen cases are pretty awesome, I have the Slim Armor one on my nexus, work perfectly and hasnt deteriorated after >1 year of use. They also have a lifetime warranty on the case I think so if it does mess up they will send you a new one for free

I've been pleased as Punch with this Ballistic case.

It's bulky and it isn't exactly cheap, but if you drop phones as often as I do it's worth it. Plus it feels pretty nifty in the hand.

Me too! Love these cases.
You are telling me about it the second I found out is the second I bought it lol!
me too! ordered in a blink of an eye
Just shipped getting mine monday! will post pics!
I'll be ordering this within the week. This will be my third case and hopefully my last
I can't wait to see some pics. I like how small the included case is, and I don't want the phone to be even bigger. If this case doesn't add too much bulk, it's be nice to have a little extra protection.
Is it a hybrid case? The pictures make it seem like ours just a soft case. I prefer a hybrid (soft case with shell)
Just got it so far button feel very responsive its a soft-case but feels very sturdy not flimsy whatsoever
My wife has the hybrid case for her S7, I got the Spigen on Saturday and mulling over sending it back. The shape is slim, yet protective and just enough lip around the screen and the camera lens. Overall, I'm just not happy with the texture when I pick it up.
I had this case for my P9 and loved it. Hope will be avail in the UK soon.

Got mine yesterday, had one on my Nexus 6P and loved it..... Love it on my Axon 7 too!
It's not that flimsy rubber, or lose fitting.... it's stiff, fits tight and perfect.
I'm SOOOOOooooo glad this case finally came to the A7!
In terms of size, how does it compare to the included case. I realize the included case is minimal protection at best but I like that it doesn't completely disrupt the lines of the phone.
Thanks
I wanna get one but it's not even close to being worth the $20 they're asking for it.

Better built than any other case out (to date), IMO. And doesn't feel "sloppy" on the phone.

Tried and tested series across many phones. It's a great case. I'm still waiting for Spigen to hopefully release a Liquid Air case for the 7 Pro. Love me some Liquid Air.
Yep. I've had this case on my 6P and 2XL, and both phones have survived 20-30 foot drops perfectly unscathed.
So I pre-ordered this case and am rocking it now.
I still like the way the phone feels naked, but this is a nice minimal case that I know will protect it.

I'm looking at Spigen's slim armor case with the kickstand. I want a durable case with a kickstand but without the larger, crazier designs of some of the other cases on amazon. The slim armor case looks like a good option, I just wish they sold it in black instead of gray.
The larger spigen tough armor case will be in black but I really want to avoid getting a case that will be too bulky.
There's probably not much of a chance of spigen adding the slim case in black now that its already listed on the site.
