This Piece of Metal is above the CPU and could be utilised for a bit of cooling
That's one small PCB
No sticky pads just pop out Silicon type
Now for a bit of a fiddle
More to Come
Basic Test for Now
Bit of testing to see how things perform
Takes about 1 minute to boot from a cold start.
Remote performs fair with this device.
Now Using the Logitech K400r.
All setup easy. no problems found
1/8Gb not a snappy unit remembering the spec's and the price.
AnTuTU v 5.7 showing a score of just under 21,000
Ethernet connection OK WiFi tested Ok
Netflix in and tested Ok for this device
Plex a few Movies, TV shows Ok after uninstall and reinstall.
Not a beast, I feel you can make it do most things.
Yet to be tested
First firmware update is ready. Two ways to get it:
1. Install this APP for OTA service: http://www.inphic.com/download/download/5-spot-i5-ota-app
Just download the APP from the TV Box browser, install and open. Your SPOT i5 will detect the latest version of firmware and upgrade.
2. Download firmware file: https://mega.nz/#!zIljUBzL!wfBnfuOIbOOXv7NM2CLdNE_bC9ypKcIX1BBTfMPWUPg
Upgrade by using Amlogic burning tools
Firmwares under 20151113 does not support OTA, then, this APP is required. After install this version OTA will be there.
Latest firmware has root
Update Firmware with root
Attempt with the APP for OTA.
For me it dropped me to recovery and could not do much from there.
Hmm unsure what happened there.
On to the next option
Option 2 worked, downloaded burning tool from here http://chinagadgetsreviews.com/downl...-v2-0-4-3.html
Followed Instructions (pity cant see the reset button luckily I drilled it earlier) about 5 minutes to install new firmware.
i5 will sit at a loading screen while new firmware sets its self up. takes awhile so don't Panic.
Get greeted with new system to reset up, all apps wiped best to start fresh no junk in the trunk.
Remote works through complete process.
Version Now show KOT49H.20151113test-keys
I enlarged it as I prefer to use a tooth pick, a paper clip would fit, the idea sticking bits of metal in bothers me
Installed SU and Busybox looking good.
Ethernet cable
The Ethernet socket on the back and slightly under the dome can be a pain when removing the cable. One of these can help and makes things so much easier
This is probably the coming Inphic's launcher. Designed for TV Box:

[New] Inphic SPOT i7 S905 Media Player 1/8 GB

OS: Android 5.1 Lollipop, SoC: Amlogic S905, RAM: 1GB DDR3, ROM: 8GB eMMC, WiFi/BT AP6212
Gigabit Ethernet, 2 x USB standard
Good Looking Packaging, and a few extra bits to add.
As this unit has only 2 USB ports they have also included a mini USB hub,
Also included Video Cable for RCA connections
Au Power supply, thank you no more adapters that has to be good
A easy to read Manual if its ever needed.
Good looking HDMI cable and remote

Inpic i7 update
UPDATE
A well presented device.
With the few extra bits supplied to make up lack of USB ports
A flashy looking programmable remote that has a few already preprogrammed features
Select Vod button up comes You tube, Select TV and Kodi runs
TV-SYS brings up HDMI resolution settings and Setup straight to lollipop settings.
Red Standby and Blue power on LED on the front, and remote works as you would hope to control Media Player.
All can be easily altered to suit your individual needs
4 to 5 meters line of site seems achievable.
The Inphic Spot i7 does have root.
Being a 1/8 gb units can struggle a little when pushed
Running a few bench mark test it was noticed.
This is Inphics first release of Lollipop 5.1 so a few quirks yet to be sorted.
First turn and setup Google and update no problems,
Found Twitter, Skye, Facebook, Currents not big space takers removed.
Plex, Netflix, Hulu, Chrome, Mxplayer and few other Google apps
My unit can run HOT seen the temp get over 100c with certain benchmark test.
Vellemo and Antutu you could see it trying and struggled just a little.
Kodi struggled a little showing 2 CPU one at 100% then the some Skipping noted.
Wifi speed is OK compared to others I use with the same setup/location
Updating apps/downloading from Google over wifi speed was good.
As this is the first of the Lollipop from Inphic there will be a few things to sort out.
The Guys at inphic appear to be having a go with products so we can hope for some good support.
I was hopping for a new Rom or update by now but with Holidays in China just finished can take a bit to get back into action
too much party time...
Overall a pretty good Unit a few updates needed and should be a handy streaming device for your collection
More as it comes

My Fav Vents
Space for HDD/SSD
Small Vesa type Bracket to mount behind TV or Anywhere

Bit of a clean up of things I don't use cut down the start menu size,
Little bit of customising,
Do a Defender scan, start to install some testing programs.
Meantime WIndows Update has Started to do its thing, took about 1.5 hour plus by the time it downloaded and I was doing a defender scan... and mucking around but all good in the end, and on the latest I think from MS$..
The Update left about 30GB of the Previous windows on the Hard disk I quick clean and now 20GB used,
Running Just the Stock supplied version of windows no extra HDD etc and will see how it all goes.
WiFi ethernet all good and speeds excellent.
Setup etc all smooth no problems
The Alfawise T1 is moving along nicely, all good with Netflix, Apps etc, no DRM monkey business here.
for its CPU, Ram Size fixed at 4/64GB cant add but should be able to do most and for the price.
Benchmarks and Stuff to follow, just to give an Idea, we are aware it's not a Killer Speed Demon
Small Home Office, lots of uses, Heat No problem, No fan Noise.
Should be able to find a Use for it easy.
WIndows all Activated
Hdd and network easy found on boot

G'day Blokes
Give the Beelink MINI S12 a burl and you'll find it's a ripper mini PC, matey.
With an Intel N100 chip manufactured in 10 nm, this little ripper delivers solid performance without chewing up too much juice.
It's a top choice for desktop use, and with two HDMI 2.1 video outputs that support [email protected] and a Gigabit Ethernet port for speedy file transfers, you won't be left in the lurch.
The Beelink MINI S12 looks grouse on any desk, and you can even hang it from its VESA support behind your monitor if you're short on space.
It comes with a 256 GB NVMe disk as standard, and while it's not lightning-fast, you can add a 2.5" SATA 3 disk to boost storage. Plus, there's a single SODIMM slot that lets you expand the RAM up to 16 GB.
This little beauty comes with Windows 11 pre-installed, so you can hit the ground running and browse, stream, or work with ease.
And the cooling system is tops, with a quiet internal fan that keeps performance humming along smoothly.
Sure, you might hear a bit of fan noise during games, but it won't throw a spanner in the works.
All in all, the Beelink MINI S12 is a fair dinkum mini PC that's quiet, efficient, and perfect for browsing, streaming, or working on everyday tasks at home.

Check this out,
Beelink SER5 PLUS 5800H is packing some serious punch! This little beauty comes with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor, made with the fancy 7nm FinFET technology. It's got eight cores, sixteen threads, and can run between 3.2 and 4.0 GHz, which is pretty zippy if you ask me. The TDP is 35-54 W, which sounds like a lot, but hey, no pain no gain, am I right?
If you're a gamer, you'll be happy to know that the Radeon Vega 8 GPU will let you play some not-too-crazy titles, as long as you use the right settings.
Plus, you can get this little guy with either 16 or 32 GB of RAM, installed in the two SODIMM slots. And for storage, there's a 500 GB M.2 NVMe 2280 SSD and space for a 2.5-inch storage unit with SATA3 interface.
But wait, there's more!
The Beelink SER5 PLUS 5800H has an internal M.2 card installed with Wifi 6E + Bluetooth 5.2 and a 1000MBPS Ethernet port, so you're all set in the connectivity department.
There are three USB 3.0 ports, a USB 2.0, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and video outputs USB Type-C 3.2, HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2, all with the ability to handle [email protected]
That's pretty sweet, huh?
Last but not least, this bad boy comes with Windows 11 installed by default, but you can throw Linux on there if you prefer.
It's got a cute little external power supply and VESA support, so you can hang it behind your monitor like a champ.
All in all, this computer is a real ripper rita.
