Question Samsung Weather widget on A52s not auto updating after April security update. - Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G

Samsung Weather widget on A52s not auto updating after April security update. I cleared the Weather app cache, removed and then re-added the widget but to no avail. Anyone facing the same issue? It was working fine before the update. I have Location turned off so I don't know if that matters, but it was working fine before with Location turned off.

Clear system cache.
Clear app data.

Yes location does matter as how Weather widget could get reliable information close to you and not from nowhere or from your entire country when you live in a specific place ??? ^^

It just refreshes the weather forecast for the last known location (when location was turned on because you were using a navigation app, for example).

The built in Weather should be allowed to get your location to get updated w/ real time infos. Honestly, I still get ads with it, switched over to Today Weather.

Battery Problem with Maps

Hey guys,
Hoping someone might be able to provide some insight for me on this. Please see the attached image. I have not opened the Maps application once. I noticed it was being a power hog about an hour ago and even force stopped it, but it persisted. Anyone had a similar experience/have an idea for a fix?

Disable maps caching and offline map
Sent From Samsung's Galaxy Note II Using Internet
Thanks for the quick response. Can you tell me how to execute those tasks?
Go into maps app and settings
Also disabling location services could help

These cant be disabled... I only see the choice of caching when on wifi or wifi/3g and it says that its only active when charging, so wont be that surely?
Location services could well have an effect but you will lose the functionality of Google Services, google now etc.
I have all the location based stuff active and dont have the issue.
Could it be another app that is using Google Maps to obtain data and keeping it awake?
Yeah, as you said I can't disable them. I can't imagine what it is. Location services wouldn't have that much of an effect. Not sure what to do here. Thinking of trying a fresh install of a diff rom. Currently running CleanRom

Birthday notification

Hello friends, I have DN3 5.2 rom on N7100 and this notification of birthday of my friends is killing me. It does not show every day, but sometimes, and i just can not turn it off. I unchecked options for birthday in callendar, even greenify this app which is called "homescreenfestivaleffect", and it is no good. I can force close it but after some time it shows again. Eventually I uninstalled app, and no effect. This app came with rom so i suggest that somebody must have same problem. Thx

Long hold will give you a menu with app info. That will give you the exact application. That one can be removed or maybe these notifications can be removed.
Maybe you can revoke the right to notifications to that app, effectively removing all notifications for that app.
You can't long hold on this, nothing happens

Ok, you can try to find the correct app by long-pressing on a notification, or going into Settings > Apps and then selecting the app for which you want to disable notifications. Tap on the check mark box next to Show Notifications and accept the warning. Going forward, you'll no longer receive notifications for that specific app.

Lost Edge feeds after freezing apps. Help me identify which one to defrost!

I froze a bunch of apps yesterday and only realized the edge feeds are all gone. I still get the info stream to show up but notifications feed and everything else are gone from even Settings.
Please help hehe. Thanks.

What did you use to freeze the aps with?
Looks like titanium backup
S6 Edge
Yup, TB. I ended up defrosting a bunch of apps and got the feeds back. Still don't know which one it was though lol.
Uninstall TB and it should un-freeze the apps, then reinstall TB and write down what you freeze. So you don't go thru this again.
Just so you know for next time, the app which provides these feeds is "CatchFavorites" (/system/app/CatchFavorites_L/CatchFavorites_L.apk)

I ended up with the same issue as the OP and couldn't find this thread so I made another (http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-galaxy-s6-edge/help/edge-screen-t3122815), but unfortunately CatchFavorites wasn't frozen in mine, so I've no idea where else to check. I really don't want to unfreeze everything.
Actually the app for feeds is cocktailbar service

Cocktailbar service is the app for feeds in edge display off screen, and appears with the same icon of configurations

Media share not working correctly

I have an S20 Ultra on T-Mobile, and the media share function acts like it has no memory. The quick select doesn't work, it's like I'm sharing for the first time every time so I have to choose the app and recipient. I've already cleared the cache for quick share and made sure direct share is turned on. Any idea if there's any way to make it remember the apps and contacts, or if there's any settings I need to change to make it work like it did on my Pixel 2 XL?

I had a somewhat similar problem. In my case, I had only 2-3 contacts that never got updated with the recent people I was interacting with.
What helped is to go into the album app and enabling access to contacts (if I remember correctly). After that the quick sharing part started working again..

Do you mean gallery app? I tried that, and it didn't seem to help.
Got a security patch a day or two ago, and as of today the share option was working again. Mysterious ways.
Coming from S10+ this is really frustrating. Share menu is a mess and in any app that I want to share photos it never remembers my top contacts or even top apps.

Question Problem with some running apps

I am experiencing some problems after receiving the S21 FE, there is an application that I use at the gym that whenever I change the application, when opening a second or third application, this first mentioned application closes.
I've noticed this with other newly opened apps as well. I've already tried changing the app's settings by putting it in priority mode and setting it to multitasking and it doesn't solve it. I've even tried changing the settings of apps running in the background.
I mention this app in particular because it worked perfectly on the Galaxy S20. All my training progress is erased when the app closes and this is really annoying.
Turn off adaptive battery etc.

Is yours One ui 4? Here the options are different. I tested it here by disabling the adaptive battery in the last few days but it is still closing background apps. It's a very annoying thing that I didn't feel on my S20

You have more options but it's the same junk.
Specifically what is it closing? Music? Bluetooth?
Check individual app settings as well.
I don't upgrade my N10+'s because of things like this. They're optimized... too much that can get broken.
