Guys, Its been a long time since I messed with all this stuff but I'm looking for the most up to date method to bypass/remove screen lock. Back then I use to do it from sd card and odin. We have a phone of a friend that recently passed away and the mother is trying to get it unlocked. I have had no luck with software what is the work around considering they don't have his google password to reset it? All help is appreciated and may be able to compensate if successful . T.I.A.

Will a rom upgrade reset the phone to the original settings? ie reset the the locking code etc.
As since trying the unlock prog my phone is now dead and i was hoping this may cureit as Orange can't help and i don't have insurance

I already have a few of the other HTC phones, wizard - tornado and typhoon, so have gone through the CID unlocks, rom upgrades, etc.
I have a co-worker who got their hands on a used Excalibur / T-Mobile Dash, which is sim locked to T-mobile ( I know there is a post here where we can get the codes from one of the members )
The phone itself has a password required when it boots up. That password is not available. Co-worker has asked if I can do anything to help. Before I give him back a brick, figured I should ask......
Will I be able to sync with activsync to be able to add the files needed to CID unlock the phone ??
Once CID unlocked - we can then upgrade from bootloader screen ??
Is there any other work arounds out there - to me, just seems easiest way is to flash new rom ??

Hello i am having an issue with UNLOCKING my optmius 2x from fido. i just bought it and decided to unlock it, so i went out and found the most well know site i could to buy a code and made SURE everything matched up and it all did and still DOES Now my problem is as follows-
I entered the nck code first the phone quickley rebooted and i threw a new rogers sim into the phone but i got no bars and the phone told me there was not network then switched to no sim.
Then i put a bell sim card into the phone with the same response nothing.. so i went and put the rest of the codes into the phone and they all gave me network unlock request unsuccessful and same with the nck one now as well.. and i do not know if it said that it work the first time as it was just a quick flash
Now i have been geting help from people down in the optmius 2x section of the fourms they told me i should revert to stock 2.2 and i did with the SAME RESULTS! i also tryed an ics rom and i could not even get to the sim screen.
Can any one help me on this problem? i am looking to use my phone and i am not able to at this time
The phone is now rooted and runing ics
let me know how i can fix this

So over 300 people have never seen this before anyone one know of a way to see if the phone is unlocked WITH OUT putting in a diff sim card like a terminal command or somthing? also is there another way of unlocking the phone via softweare?

Now I'm in Canada and would like to use this phone instead of buying a new one, therefore I was told to unlock it. So I searched online for how to unlock my LG phone. Found many results that tell me the first half of the steps. Found a couple of threads here too about it, but no concrete solution. So, I tried to root it and was successful with Framaroot. Then Installed Clockwork. Then attempted to install the above mentioned patch using Clockworks recovery mode, but it didn't appear to fix the GSM lock. Whenever I insert my SIM card I get an icon that looks like a SIM card with a question mark inside a red circle at the top right. And when I try to dial a number, any number, I get some chineese lady saying something.
Any idea what does that mean?
I just unbricked/unrooted my phone back to 711A firmware and 4.1.2 Android as it was all the way from the beginning.

I recently bought ROG phone 6 on ebay (AI2201) i got 4g connection and after few minutes my internet went dark. I check the firmware WW_phone-32.2810.2206.95-0
I also unlock it using the tool from the asus web and still have issues. If anyone of you can help me out I would really appreciate it.
First of all I would try a Factory reset (backup data before it).
Second, why did you unlocked the bootloader? For the connection fix? I'd suggest to flash last raw update, but it will lock your bootloader.
